  • In this surface modelling exercise, I model the Les Paul Junior neck and headstock. The blend between the rear of the neck and the planar rear face of the headstock was the most difficult section to model. I have seen people ask for assistance modelling this area on several forums over the years and given my interest in guitars, I had to give it a go. I tried several approaches and settled on creating over built boundary surfaces, which were then trimmed back. I had expected the heel area of the neck to also need varied approaches, however this area proved to be straight forward to model.
