A trick I found is always check the skeletons you find on maps. Sometimes they have equipment on them like swords and potions. Early on that can provide a big boost to your fighting abilities.
Been playing KRL for ages and I love it! 1.0 just recently came out, along with a flurry of hotfixes in just a few weeks. Very responsive to bug reports and player feedback.
Been obsessed with Keeperrl lately and mostly had your runs playing on the other screen while playing myself. Tons of fun, thank you for the awesome videos!

Been playing for a couple years.. since 1.0 ive not been able to win lol. Im back to addicted, love this game.
I managed to do it! My best tips are:
- one amazing warrior is worth 1000 good ones. Capture a knight/archer/lizardman and train him up.
- don't forget to loot your fallen warriors because sometimes it won't appear in the "pillage"
- some enemies like elementalist are easier to defeat when they invade you
- harpies and shamans are strong and will carry you, warriors are disposable.
Woo! Late game it’s definitely more about those one or two really powerful guys vs the swarms you can get away with early on.
And yeah, stay away from harpies and elves until you can withstand their ranged attacks (attacking at night helps)

heheh ... hope they fix that soon ... Double doors are a must for any half descent dungeon !!

New naming rule should be to pick the hardest name to say in english, add ioux to the end and if we all do it... Hilarity shall ensue.
How do you unlock zombies
You can unlock them by playing, or, there’s an option you can check in settings to unlock everything
A game I should luv, but seems like maybe only winnable if the RNG gods give you a good location map and base area. If I leave random base attacks on I get killed by unkillable attackers who walk past all the traps unhurt and 1-shot my army no matter how I try and train and upgrade. Otherwise I end up running out of resources as I can't get any higher level resources since the golems wipe me out. Try as I may can't manage to kill the elementalist, top of the tower she 1-shots whatever I throw at her... Just frustrating
Hi, ho. I can't believe how many hours this game stole from me over the last few days. Having your high-level wizard get one-shotted by an arrow to the neck has never been so much fun!
Easiest game ever made, just make invisibility armor, equip on knight keeper, go around killing everyone periodically and win.
Pff easiest game is age of empires 2 just type i r winner the game surrenders because i show so overhelming strenght and mindset

Well, I like it a lot, but it's not for everyone.
Do you like dwarf fortress? Or Rimworld?
This is basically Dwarf fortress light, with a larger emphasis on combat. You basically have to fight to win.
kraken's are TOUGH

Can the water on the map be used in any way ?
not thinking as a natural defense (moat etc..)
but is it used for anything at all ? Drinking, alchemy ... anything ?
This game has consumed far to much of my time lately.
I find it a little ... Strange ? or maybe ... Unrealistic ?
That you cannot hire on or ask to join or the like the elves that you released from the prison ...
But I guess that is just the Dwarven mechanic built into this game ... heh ... sort of strange to me ...
It's funny to me, because they will join my Necromancer Keeper.
They were a much needed ranged option. If you haven't tried Necro yet, the only true ranged damage option they have is Skeleton archers, who cannot shoot through crowds, making them pretty niche in terms of uses.
Elven Archers with enchanted Archwood bows, on the other hand, are super killy. Especially against dragons.
I used to be subscribed up until you started renaming characters. Don't waste my time.
