But he can definitely be a serviceable backup I think. Then again, my team drafted a similar guy in purdy as the last pick and he's doing pretty well for himself so far. While he is one of the older players in college football, remember that its not just 18 year olds in these programs but 20 and 21 year olds as well. Plus, being older doesn't always add up to being better. You had a lot of young qbs like Stroud and Bryce who have more raw talent on their side and even in the nfl the young batch of qbs like Burrow, Lawrence, etc are showing their stuff against some of the better qbs who played before them. I've seen nearly every snap Bennett has gotten in college going back to 2019. He's very accurate off play action standing in the pocket. But He can't throw off the run very well. He can run away from pressure, but if he's improvising when a play breaks down then he either takes off or throws it away, which is a good thing in college but limiting in the pros where extending a play with your arm on the run is paramount in today's game. If you get Bennett off his spot and a defense has speed to contain his legs, then he's pretty much toast. I love the guy and the style of play in college, pros not so much.

    Stetson Bennett is a big reason for Georgia winning the 2nd championship. He was not carried this year. Yes, the historical defense did carry Georgia for the 1st chip, but Georgia won the 2nd one because of him. He was big time in wins when the defense didn’t show up.

  • @RKIII
    @RKIII Год назад +1

    Honestly, I don't see him as a back up at best. I think his ceiling is higher than that. I see him as a possible top 15 qb when put in the right situation. He reminds me a lot of Kirk Cousins without the size obviously, but I think that is closer to his ceiling than Case Keenum because Bennett is able to make some great throws and great reads. I really think he could be like a Tom Brady during the first 3 Super Bowl run. However, again, this is assuming that he falls into the right scenario.

  • @IntroducingMrLucci
    @IntroducingMrLucci Год назад

    Bennett surprised me showing he had a cannon of an arm at the combine. Today's NFL heavily altered the rules to transition QB's into the direction they wanted to market which although not the intended target these rule changes also help Bennett as long as the bias doesn't limit his opportunity.

    I think Stetson Bennett story is cool but I don’t even think he makes it as a back up he’s short not a good arm and he’s decently athletic and he’s going to be a 26 year old rookie. No NFL teams gonna want that even in this draft, there’s plenty of more talented quarterbacks that are probably going to be undrafted that are like 4 to 5 years younger I mean, most teams are looking like a Josh Allen that guy didn’t do that well in college, but he was physically gifted and was able to be coached. College means literally nothing I mean the best quarterback this entire year was Caleb Williams, and his ass got beat by Tulane ,college is a completely different game
