    If you are wondering, Yes I bought the motorcycle!!! I did get a very short dealer test ride first which I tried to make a short "Quick Reaction" video out of but GoPro Audio failed me again. However, this was a much more extensive ride and review of the bike. Stay tuned for more Busa vids down the road.

    I have recently bought a gen3 and it is my 6th Hayabusa. This 3rd incarnation is what I always wanted the original Hayabusa to be. The addition of cruise control, the electronic package, and the lower down torque have turned this bike into a very very competent machine.

    I watched a 'Busa review a few weeks ago. Since then, the pesky algorithms have pulled up dozens more and I've watched them all! Reviewers' comments don't vary much.
    One thing all reviews have in common is that as the throttle opens, the talking stops and is replaced with mildly deranged laughter.

    Blew out my back working in the oilfields of ND. I sold off my Harley because the doctors told me, after my third operation, that I have a 50/50 chance of becoming paralyzed if I end up in the hospital again. How ever I have come to find out that I have become super depressed. And all I can think of is getting back on 2 wheels and rolling them dice. FACKIT!! So I feel like the Busa might be the perfect bike for me. Nice and comfortable and yet if I hit something going as fast as I’m planning on going. I don’t want to live any how!! 😂😂😂

      I'm 55 and wanted a sport bike all my life. a week after my 55th birthday I said "I better get it now or may never" and bought a 2023 hayabusa.
      I was looking for GSXR750, could not find them anywhere. sat on a 2023 Hayabusa after a GSXR1000 and said this is comfortable (hayabusa). I am 5'6" 150ish lbs. its a big bike, but I love it.

    Busa's are such good looking bikes (my opinion). Now with tech. Really like the new bike. Those complaining about the power of the Busa. I just do not know what to say about that. I doubt many could use it to its full potential ( i know i would not be able to).

    Just done the run in service yesterday. I am fifty, and sold my 1250rt for this beautiful machine. I owned the first gen, and when I saw all the reviews of this gen 3, I could not resist. It was a calling for me and I am loving every kilometer I put on.

      I was so impressed by the dude in the wheel chair the grade of the hill doesn't come through the gopro very well. Yeah, I've watched so much footage in the UK it would be a bit of a hassle to muscle the Busa around some of those areas, the roads in the US are much more accommodating. I can't wait to swap the exhaust, I think it will look so much better and loose close to 50lbs. Thanks for watching mate, appreciate you!

    Loved your review. You did a great job! I had just bought this same bike a week ago. I've been riding since I was 6 and I'm about to hit 55. I had the first generation right when it first came out and absolutely loved the bike. Love this one even better. Just an incredible machine and I'm just feeling it out. I rode 825 miles in 2 days and I really thought I would be so sore the third day, but the seat is great and the bike is so well balanced. The cruise control is great. I probably rode 760 miles sitting straight up and just driving it with my legs and balance. Such a well balanced bike and you think it and it does it. One of the best bikes, if not the best bike I have ever owned for the all round usability of it and it's absolutely beautiful and smooth.

      I am 6ft tall and 48 years old. Both great bikes but I would ask yourself what kind of riding will you be doing the most? I've done multiday road trips on my Busa and my 2015 ZX10 they are both capable but.....the cruise control on the busa is a life saver, the increased fuel capacity is nice and the bike is a bit more comfy for the long rides and still plenty capable of carving up a canyon with a skilled rider. The extra weight and softer suspension aren't a huge minus to cornering but I still prefer my ZX10 for a quick local or day ride through the corners. The ZX10 (and probably GSXR) simply feel sharper and more nimble, I can feel the difference with the stiffer suspension, etc...

      Probably not till spring, it's pretty late in the year for me to go to far. We still have nice days where I can get out and ride but the mornings and evenings are to cold for my old ass. So probably April/May of 2022! I've got a couple of projects to keep me busy through the winter, rebuild of my motocross bike, Vinyl wrap the 97 GSXR 600 and a few mods on the new Busa before we road trip her. She gots about 50lbs to loose maybe more.

      I think it's only slightly more comfortable then the GSXR or my ZX10 in terms of the overall position the rider is in. The seat is damn amazing though but in terms of reach, angle of knee bend, given your height I don't think you would be much more "comfy" to be honest. I did another short ride a few days later and a short, but much harder pull and it scared me. I think it might be faster then the my ZX10. I can't imagine what it would feel like with the ECU unrestricted. Sometimes I just forget the QS is there. I can't wait for the first spring/summer road trip.

    It’s always funny to me, every single person talks about the weight of the bike. At 582 pounds it’s still a good deal lighter than my Harley that’s about 850 something pounds. lol. An aftermarket full exhaust for the Busa will save you 30 or 40 pounds.

    • @MonkeyButtRides
      @MonkeyButtRides  2 года назад +1

      Oh totally and a 4 into 1 exhuast would probably drop another 10lbs which is what I'm gonna do. Full header and all. The weight isn't a big deal but if you have never ridden anything that heavy it is something you notice real quick but you get use to it pretty quick.

    • @MonkeyButtRides
      @MonkeyButtRides  Год назад

      Overall, they are good. Not great, but good. 7 out of 10 stars. There was a recall on some of the earlier 2022's had to do with the master cylinder. I've had a couple of panic braking situations, and the front brakes did their job the front ABS is not overly intrusive at all. I'm not a fan of linked brakes or rear ABS on sport bikes. I just prefer having control over my rear brakes and rear ABS on a sport bike is just dumb if you ask me, the rear ABS kicks in very easy under heavy braking and takes a bit of fun away from riding the bike, but that's me. That is just the Euro bubble wrap keep me safe world we live in now. For most folks the brakes will be just fine.

      I went with the full M4 4 into 1. Drops about 55lbs off the bike, sounds great and cheap compared to some of the other more popular systems out there. I'm 6ft tall and 210lbs. I use the bike mostly for long rides (multi day) and it's a backup bike for weekend canyon riding up in the mountains but I prefer my ZX10 over the Busa for the day ride in the mountains.

    • @mad151maxx4
      @mad151maxx4 Год назад

      @MonkeyButtRides yeah, I've seen m4. Don't know much about them. I hate ninjas. So I have been riding Harleys for 25+years. I'm retiring and want a Supersport bike, that's comfortable and hit 200+mph.

    • @MonkeyButtRides
      @MonkeyButtRides  Год назад +1

      M4 makes a good product, I've used their exhaust system a few times over the years. 200+mph huh? Well, the Busa is probably the most comfy liter+ sport bike out there so I would say it's a good place to start. At 6'2 you might want a taller screen and some bar risers. The busa is still a very sporty, forward position. The stock screen isn't going to give you hardly any wind protection.
