    Good walk through all the different settings. The one I have been looking for on my Ioniq 2017 (UK) but just do not think is there is the switch of units from miles per kWh to Wh per kilometre for the efficiency.

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  2 года назад

      That is one of the settings I was looking for as well. Though I got used to miles per kWh after a while. Thanks for watching.

    Useful video ! 👍🏼
    I have read several owners mentioning about the 12 V battery completely discharging & they have to jump start either with another car or with a portable jumper. How to avoid running into this situation ? Just turning on Auxiliary Battery Saver ? Or is there more to it ?

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  2 года назад +4

      Hello and thanks for watching. The Auxiliary Battery Saver feature will charge up the 12v battery if it falls below a certain threshold. This feature is great, as long as you have a healthy 12v battery. The 12v battery just failed on my Ioniq, and this feature couldn't do anything to save my early morning frustration one day. I had to jump it to get it going again. I will have a video coming soon about my experience.

    5:16 it's not the camera, it's the rear radars on both sides that look for traffic. It's the same radars used for blind spot detection.

    I just found a 2017 base model. Do you have an opinion on the best OBD to use to check for battery health? I'd like to check it with a scanner before I commit to buying it if possible.

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  2 года назад +2

      I'm looking to buy the OBDLink CX, however they have been out of stock for a while and hoping that they have some soon. There is a program for the Ioniq that seems pretty cool and can tell you some battery information, called canIoniq. It's supposed to have ways of seeing battery health. Different OBD tools will work, but I couldn't say which ones for sure.

    How to set the high volt battery at 75% , or is it automatic..on the 2020 ioniq?

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  Год назад

      Unfortunately, in the Ioniq you cannot set a percentage to stop charging. This was a major flaw in my opinion. So, if you weren't monitoring it, you would end up fully charging the battery.

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  Год назад

      Ahhh. Gotcha. Then I believe it just lets the vehicle handle the charge and discharge. The battery has some buffer to not allow any major damage in the top and low ends.

    hi can you explain how I can switch on passenger airbags as its symbol is off im new to the car, thanks

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  Год назад

      The passenger airbags will automatically enable when someone sits in the passenger seat, and it may also require the seatbelt to be on.

      Thank you, I had a passenger adult sitting there but the airbag sign lit up and said air bag off

    • @TechMotoring
      @TechMotoring  Год назад

      That is a bit weird. There is no way to disable the airbag so it wouldn't be a setting. Perhaps the sensor could be bad.

      In the US the first year was 2017. Hyundai may have released it in 2016 in other countries. Good question and thanks for watching.
