- THE FORMULA DRIFT FINAL FIGHT - The "Last Irwindale" again
This is the finale of the Falken Tire / Ark Performance FRENEMIES 2017 FD season. We've followed Matt Field and Odi Bakchis around FD this year as they've battled others, eachother, and themselves. It's been a wild season, and this event at Irwindale didn't disappoint. Both Matt & Odi made Top16, but Matt got knocked out soon after. Odi carried on beating Michael Essa, but unfortunately got a little to close to James Deane, resulting in a nail-biter ending in his contention for third overall.

I have a set on my s197 right now (for the first time). They were born for drifting. I’ve never had a tire single handedly improve forward bite when at angle. It’s crazy.

Killer Series! So fun! It’d be rad to see more of what goes into prepping for these races. How you train, practice, where the crew comes from. Also it’d be dope to see more of the camera crew! It would be cool to see how each of the drivers get ready leading up to an event. A little more personal maybe a week before until the event itself. how they compare to each other. Probably not cost effective for them having donut media doing this but maybe even a vlog style added to a video like this.

I like how the crew and the drivers are very close not like in F1
Andre that’s common amongst not so up-hyped sports like f1 or nascar, in drag racing or rally the drivers work close with the mechanics and the whole team aswell

Why is there no FD driver who clutch kicks
So much power it doesn’t need it
Bryan3000GG yeah but it makes you way way faster and locking your rear wheels will make you drift . But clutching kicking will start your drift without locking ur wheels and maybe make you go 20% faster
Sometimes they'll clutch kick and handbrake. It's more about angle and rate to angle rather than speed.
Where do these guys get their funding? Like I know they're sponsored by a shit ton of companies but is that where all the money for the vehicles, mods, supplies, and repairs come from? I don't know how this drifting scene works and I'm just curious.

Odi needs to ditch the old S Chassis like Matt and get a modern car. High key tired of seeing 90s hero cars in pro drift. I love them, but it's really disappointing growing up realizing they are still used well over a decade when pro drift first started and many of us were still kids. Give some new cars the chance for development to gain tuning support to build a legacy of great cars of this generation like the 90s were.

Wildchild_inc okay then what modern car Odi should get then he’s probably had that S14 for a very long time and is used to it probably. Another Example of a Drift team with 90s cars is Team Orange in the D1 GP they still have old cars. Minus one of them who has an Evo10
