Hey Jessica! You probably never herd of that but Russia just made their own version of American top model. It is much less toxic and judges are really nice. I really want to see your reactions to the beautiful models they have and how professional they work. Unfortunately I do not know if the show has any translation yet. It is called 'you are a top model on TNT' ("ты топ модель на тнт")
I love when you detailing everything on antm photoshoot and to be honest you kinda read my mind every same point like Literally!!!. I recommend you react Asia's next top model cuz I feel that the theme that they use for photoshoot is more understandable than ANTM (like bireacial ss13). My most favorite is first cycle so classy and most elegant out of 6 cycle. This cycle has some interesting shoot the underwater, the French Riviera, the little India, (this prove tyra that you doesn't need a paint skin dark to fit in the culture) and the most fairness theme that I saw from top model format is every girls wore the same dress for photoshoot and let the girls abilities show.

The fact that this show was able to run for 24 seasons over 12 years and they didn’t seriously injure or kill a contestant is nothing short of a miracle.

Apparently Nigel played it up for the camera. He actually laughed at CariDee's comment and was not mad.
I never got why he would have got offended by it, it was obviously just a silly joke, it just made him look stupid and stuck up imo. The show really was desperate for some drama lol.
But now later I feel bad for both Caridee and Nigel how they made just a joke look like.
Out of all the ANTM judges the only one I like is Nigel. He seems pretty chill and actually gives constructive criticism most of the time, so I was surprised he was upset by the joke. The fact they edited it makes much more sense.

I was thinking that too, what if a model didnt want to support bull fighting because of the animal abuse and decided not to do the shoot, but I'm sure the judges would have loved to patronize them for that

Didn’t Caridee or Nigel mention in a recent interview that both of them thought the joke was hilarious/not malicious? Wouldn’t be the first time ANTM made a mountain out of a molehill. Obviously no one is going to joke around like that with a photographer they just met. They’d been seeing Nigel for weeks at this point and had a rapport with him (and he deserved some of the smoke; he knew it too, LOL). It’s that dumb royalty/peasant hierarchy dynamic that they kept pushing.

I hate that theme of how the models should 'know their place' , the comment was definitely made a huge fuss over . I found it funny what she said aswell . And Re the bull i also think they could have easily photoshopped it in the photo . Why have a real dangerous bull in the background WHY .. just to cause fear & risk for the sake of it . really pointless .

Nigel has stated that this comment wasn’t even that bad. He actually laughed it off and they went back and forth. They played it up for TV that he was super angry.

CariDee and Eugena recently confirmed that this photoshoot was very edited. They barely had contact with the bull and the scenes when he was "mad" were not at the same time they were in the arena. They confirmed they were never in danger.

That's not to surprising, I mean antm model has done some messed up things to torture these models but sending them to take photos with an angry bull is obviously to dangerous. They for sure would have had a possible law suit if any of the girls were hurt. Glad it was edited and the girls weren't in real danger

In recent livestream Caridee said Nigel booked her many times after the show, so what Jay said was manifactured drama for tv show sake.
Both Caridee and Nigel recently acknowledged that the comment did not upset Nigel, but producers edited to look it that way

I've lived in Spain for a large portion of my life and bull fighting is extremely dangerous. The week we moved there, a bull fighter died in the town I lived in at that time, during a bullfight. That is not super common, but even trained professionals can be harmed or killed. Additionally, it is extremely cruel to the animals. The bull isn't just forced to fight a torero, there are picadores who weaken the bull with lances and goad it to make it frightened and defensive. There is even more I could say on it, but I'll leave it at this; there are a lot reasons why several provences have outlawed it. This was so irresponsible, disrespectful to the animal, and dangerous. The poor bull was probably scared out of its mind and a terrified animal which can easily kill you if it feels threatened should not be a prop for a photo.
Bullfighters deserve what happens to them. I mean, they torture and kill animals for a living.

They did another one with tarantulas. Considering they don’t know if the girls are comfortable with that they could have easily injured one if they got scared. Tarantulas are super fragile and falling from a high drop could kill them if someone shook it off. Idk why they choose to exploit animals for shoots. It’s unnecessary.
As a Spaniard I hate bullfighting sm there are groups here that want to ban it but there are a lot of people that want to keep it because it's a tradition :/

Michelle was my manager at Jc Penney, she was so nice and I truly had no idea she was on this show. She’s so tall and kind!!!

@@princessofhell4639 She sabotaged herself during the judging test (Jessica didn't show it in this video). The girls were each asked about who had the most and least potential, and Michelle named herself as having the least potential.

yeah this whole photoshoot could've been done without the bull, especially since in the final photo, the bull was photoshopped in it anyway, they just did it for the shock value
They could have easily gotten fake bulls (through cutouts, or just something other than this) in different stances, or even edit it into the photos afterwards.
The hilarious part: they did edit it in, AND they had to edit that boring bull out of the background too!
Or even like a cow, cows do have big horns too and are less agresive that joint bulls trained for fights so
I mean, it’s unlikely they’d have the girl and the bull in the same shoot for a real campaign anyway, because they’d want total control over both the model and the bull. They’d most likely photograph them separately and edit them together into the desired composition after. So the whole setup is kind of ridiculous anyway. I mean super shocking that reality tv isn’t realistic…
Nigel recently did an interview with Oliver Twixt and said he didn't even care, he thought it was funny, but the producers and Jay made a big deal about it. He also said he was actually hit and thrown by the bull when photographing it for the background in the photos. So apparently the show even endangered the photographers, not just the contestants.
She said the bull is bored he's making things up to do like kicking the sand😂💀 too funny

You should react to the circus photoshoot from cycle 7 episode 4 (The Girl Who Joined the Circus), the crime scene photoshoot from cycle 8 episode 4 (The Girl Who Changes Her Attitude), and the water photoshoot from cycle 10 episode 7 (If You Can’t Make it Here, You Can’t Make it Anywhere) which are some of the best photoshoots in ANTM history. All three of these photoshoots were shot by the amazing Mike Rosenthal (who I love). Another interesting photoshoot is the stilts shoot from cycle 17 (Allstars) episode 3 (Kristen Cavallari) shoot by Sarah Silver.

There’s so many GOOD shoots left that she could cover but she always picks the ones with the most drama. Idk if commenters on here suggest those or if she’s picking them but I’d personally rather see her react to good shoots instead of the ones that can be used to drag the show..
@@jt17cheer People usually suggest the most dangerous or wtf photoshoots which makes sense because when you make a reaction video you actually have to react to something, not just say "this concept is nice, i'd love to shoot it myself". I like the way Jessica handles this because she delivers both her opinion on the drama/concept and her opinion on the photography (and often the pics turn out to be good just as in this episode).
You are right, Michael Rosenthal took the most amazing pictures, he was wasted on that show.

Bull fighting is incredibly cruel to the animal. They stick "swords" into it's back injuring the animal so ofc it'll charge. the animal is put down after a wight
I remember learning about bull fighting in my high school Spanish class, and our teacher showed a video of it. I was very shocked and upset to see that they treated the bulls like that. I think I always assumed they just waved a cape around until I saw that video.
This is the season that Melrose got roasted about being a “Diva” and she apologized, but the judges put her at the bottom, but didn’t do the same to Caredee.
They obviously had a different storyline with the twins being both in the bottom

i always felt bad for melrose. she was mostly just minding her own business and doing a great job with the shoots, but nearly every other model in the house was bullying her bc they were jealous. and based on my memory, caridee was one of the worst bullies in the house to her.

I have been in places with bulls and they're actually pretty docile. The models weren't bullfighting. There are certain things that toreadores do on purpose to make the poor animal angry.
@@angelmidknight3119 Bulls are docile if you leave them alon in general. But things like loud noises, flashy lights and hectic movement can rile them up. Even if a bull just devends itself that can be incredibly dangerous for a human.
But in reality I don't think that the girls were in any danger, most of that was editing.
It's just that there was no need to bring that poor bull for photoshooting reasons in at all.
As someone who grew up in cattle territory, I can tell you, most bulls are not docile. Bullfighting does not always kill the bull, sometimes they do "exhibition" rounds where the bull doesn't get harmed.
In recent interviews it was mentioned that the girls weren't in any actual danger. It was all editing and cut together to look more dangerous than it was. Also they definitely blew the Caridee comment way out of proportion. Nigel thought it was a funny joke, and he's the only one according to her that's kept in touch with her and actually hired her after the show.
I love how Jessica just effortlessly roasts the show and judges in each video 🤣🤣🤣
Imagine if they had calmed the bull, gotten it familiar with the models, and they had been able to be up close and interact with it. Like that would make for such a great photo! Like the bull and the fighter united in a photo? Fantastic! So much more emotion that could have gone into the shoot

Scary fun fact: bulls are colorblind. It’s not the color red that makes them charge- it’s movement of the fabric.
These girls are modeling. There is an entire crew of ANTM behind the scenes. I can not imagine trying to keep everyone still enough that the bull isn’t agitated. It’s a unpredictable stressed out animal in a enclosed space.
There’s missing/unaired video of Nigel himself being chased by the bull- and they tried to make a big deal about a snarky comment from Caridee..?? Give me the Nigel chase clips who cares, Nigel himself in an interview said he didn’t even care that much about the comment

I’m portuguese and in here we still have a big culture of bull fights (Touradas) and it’s so disgusting to make animals go through that amount of suffering for entertainment purposes! I’m in shook watching this.
It’s ridiculous to see them glamorizing this topic in a show that had such a broad audience! Even more ridiculous to see they put these bulls in a stressful situation for a stupid dangerous photoshoot!

Btw, bullfights are REALLY dangerous! In Portugal ppl are not allowed to kill the bulls at the end anymore but in some parts of Spain I think that still happens!
The girls and Jay are dressed like matadores or toureiros, those exist in the fights to “play with” the bull, they have the capes that ppl normally associate with bulls and they almost dance around the bull and with it! At that point tho the bull is normally bleeding (at least here in Pt) because he was already hurt by the cavaleiros (they pretty much stick a thing called bandarilhas into the back of the bull, it’s horrible). Matadores also cut the bulls’ tail and ears and kill him (in some places!).
So yeah, it’s pretty terrible
I'm from Italy and we don't do that here, but since we're kids they teach us how terrible is the culture of bullfights and how is important to boycott this business. I have no words. I knew ANTM was just a bunch of bullshit but now that I have seen this episode and the elephant one, I just don't know what to think about that
Yeah Spanish here, sadly this is still a thing for some reason and yeah, the bulls are killed at the end. I think bullfights are slowly disappearing but many people still go see them and many young people too which is something I simply can't wrap my mind around 🥺 But tbh I kinda see change here, they are banned in some parts and everyday there are more people against this torture, I hope to see how they ban this cruel practice from all countries some day 🙏🏻 Though many people see this as if Spain were "losing its heritage and traditions" which I think makes the process painfully slower 😒

The "sounds of the bull" were inserted horse and bear sounds.. And I think they only cut it the way, that it looks like the bull would chase the models but in real the models run out of the arena and than they let the bull in.
The absolute slap down of CariDee and reinforcement on all sides that she should be utterly subservient because Nigel was a judge and photographer was honestly disgusting. No wonder young models end up being exploited and harmed in the industry. The danger from the bull was over when they left the ring. The damage from that messaging could last for years.

Both Nigel & Caridee confirmed that that whole situation was played up for the show, pretty much. Nigel actually found the joke pretty funny. They're still on good terms to this day and even joke about it every now and then on social media.
I get the feeling that the reason why a judge is doing the photoshoot is because they had trouble getting another photographer to actually agree to do this.

Imo Carrie's comment wasn't appropriate. However I wouldn't blame her because they do the same with the models and disrespect them as a "joke" all the time, so it's natural if she assumed it was ok

That's because they did. Nigel spilled the beans in an online interview. They took photos of the bull prior and edited it in afterwards.
I feel like all told, that comment wasn’t very professional, but also that both people handled the apology and the subsequent discussion with respect and grace.

I have been waiting for you to react to this one! It was one of the worst photo shoots (so dangerous) yet still my favorite just because of how GORGEOUS Eugena's photo was. Her photo is still one of my favorites after all this time, it's so good!!!!
I remember this episode and my horror about the bull fighting being promoted for fashion. Animal cruelty is not fashion. And these poor girls are subject to nothing but back handed complements at best, and humiliating dangerous situations at the other end... gross

Piranhas are not very dangerous at all! They’re big scaredy cats and prefer to scavenge than hunt

What makes me happy is that I drive by the La Monumental bullring where this shooting was done almost every week knowing that it's already been 10 years since we stopped allowing bullfights in Catalonia (La Monumental bullring is in Barcelona). The arena is now used for concerts and hosts a bullfighting museum
Nigel said in an interview that he wasn't even upset about the joke and the producers kinda made it into a bigger deal for the show. He said other interesting things happened on the photo shoot even him getting chased by the bull but the producers decided to play up the caridee story line
I love CariDee. That was hilarious! And I wish they had've maybe introduced them to the bull to get them into that headspace, but taking the photos with the bull standing there with them is a lil much

Bull fighting is not humane and very stressful for the bull causing deterioration from being in a high stress uncomfortable environment. Their natural environment isn’t being stuck in a kennel then let out to provide entertainment for the public. A big NO NO. And to photoshop the end image!!! They could have created a much less stressful situation for the bull but no concern was showed.
I love when you give the posing advice because it’s such good advice and you never are never harsh! And I 1000% agree that none of the people on this show were truly bad models. They all worked hard and gave good stuff!!!

Love how they place them in a traumatizing situation, then when they fall into survival mode from a near death experience, they tell them "Hmm.. Can we do that again? You're looking a bit disconnected."
You know, when I was growing up I thought this show was amazing and the adventurous shoots they’d have was something I’d want to be put through but rewatching some of these with you I see how obscured this show was and how the show wasn’t about the girls but about making them say uncle 😐😵💫🚪🚶🏽♀️

My jaw dropped at the final photos and how they edited the bull regardless like wow there’s was literally NO POINT other than putting the girls in danger
I think what would give me anxiety the most being in that situation would be know that bright flashes of light can anger bulls and that if the reflector shined in his face it would have made him charge.
(Also, would not put it past ANTM to have purposely shined the light in his face to get footage of him charging at least once. )

The girls really weren't in danger. It was all editing. He seems pretty chill in the back and the charging shots were gotten by antagonizing him. You can see the camera cuts don't line up. Also they wouldn't have time to grab all the equipment and have everyone hide in that small space when the bull charges. Bull fighting is still extremely cruel, but this bull may have just been from someone's farm. I like to hope that's the case and he wasn't forced into a bull fight after...

About your comment at 4:08 the producers most likely filmed the girls running first then after they left the arena they probably filmed the bull coming in by itself

Out of the twins, they loved Michelle (the one eliminated) a lot more but Amanda was more serious and passionate about modeling. I believe Michelle could have won this cycle if she wanted to stay. They loved everything she did.

It makes me wonder if they actually did the bull entrance and more than one shot. Because you don't actually see the bull and the girls in the same camera shot together. It shows the bull running in, cuts to them running in the other direction, then cuts to the bull charging and almost hitting the matador. Just a bit sus lol
