Well maybe not pull slam but since it's a door closer, it will definitely help her push slam it, without knowing much about your niece (maybe she can pull slam it too). Lol
@@guywithblueglasses2235 well, when she gets upset or acts out due to her condition she tends to go to the doors in the house and slams them by pulling them closed / shut
I see. Sorry to hear about her condition. I don't believe this will help you. When I was setting it up, I tried different tensions and if it was too tight, it actually slammed the door shut. With some adjustments I got it to a point where the door shuts gently. You probably want some sort of device with hydraulics.
Aren’t you supposed to put that white plastic grommet on the plastic channel that’s attached to the door, i.e. to cover the screw hole, so that the bar doesn’t press into the hole?
I did think about a self-closing hinge, but the door I needed this on is not heavy so a self-closing hinge might be over-kill. Plus, cost was a factor.
Self close hinges are more expensive then this. I just installed this on a restroom door in basement and it’s not heavy so this works well plus it’s only $18 cheapest hinge at HD is $50
I have the same hinges on my garage door. How do I remove the door temporarily without removing entire hinge?
is the a way to stop the noise? and this thing is to weak. can even close the door in my bathroom
Will this stop a person from slamming a door?
You can tighten the tension on it but it will help dampen any slamming action.
@@guywithblueglasses2235 so my niece cant forcefully pull slam it

Oh. No idea. Lol
No. The installer placed those grommets correctly.
No it comes with 3 white plastic covers. So it’s to cover the other holes
Why not just use a self-closing hinge? This seems redundant.
