I wish they would have kept it true to the comics. What they did now made him not even really a bad guy. They are just all good guys with differing opinions on what is right. Like the video said, the plan for both of them changed as soon as they were aware of each other. Why has nobody else pointed this out: During the fight between Thanos and Stark on Titan, Stark uses his arc blasters set to 11 as his armor is being converted to energy and disappearing -- Thanos blocks this concentrated energy beam with the gauntlet and for a split second you can see molten metal dripping from the gauntlet -- my theory is that Stark irreparably damaged the gauntlet and this is why it catastrophically failed during the snap. This failure is what will give the Avengers their fighting chance in Endgame

Obviously the snap made half of all life cease to exist, but I think the prior damage to the gauntlet will allow the snap to be undone in Endgame rather than the permanence Thanos intended.

endgame would be the perfect end for Tony Stark as Ironman, if he sacrificed himself to bring back the other half of the universes life then it would absolve him of all of his guilt from creating destructive weapons for profit, rogue AI and failing to protect Peter. It would complete Starks character arc perfectly. I think Thanos backstory is that he used to be a hero like Tony on Titan. He had the knowledge to bring peace to his planet and the universe but they thought that he was a madman. It seems like Thanos had a lot of leverage on Titan. Thats why he has so much respect for Tony because he knows exactly what hes going through. I wouldn't say ten times stronger, but he and his armor definitely adapts to whom he's fighting against, and I think that he was caught by surprise by how strong Thanos was, especially in the 1v1 when Thanos had 4 stones... but the next time they fight, Tony will already know Thanos' power level and adapt to it.

Tony Stark was exposed to zeta rays and, like banner, developed a second self; banner became hulk, stark became thanos.

endgame would be the perfect end for Tony Stark as Ironman, if he sacrificed himself to bring back the other half of the universes life then it would absolve him of all of his guilt from creating destructive weapons for profit, rogue AI and failing to protect Peter. It would complete Starks character arc perfectly. Speaking of Peter, Stark opened his heart to him and took responsibility in guiding him, becoming a father figure that Peter really needed pairing that with Starks committing to Pepper it represents a type of Homecoming for both characters. It would be perfect if it turned out the title Far From Home meant on a slightly deeper level that they were separated due to Tony sacrificing himself. It would also explain Peter's willingness to leave his suit behind on the trip(something his character seemed to treasure) and also explain the disrespectful way the suit was tossed over the hangar rack in the trailer. Maybe I'm reading too much into it

I think Thanos backstory is that he used to be a hero like Tony on Titan. He had the knowledge to bring peace to his planet and the universe but they thought that he was a madman. It seems like Thanos had a lot of leverage on Titan. Thats why he has so much respect for Tony because he knows exactly what hes going through. Thats maybe why Tony makes irrational decisions at time. Maybe Tony might end up a villian in the end. Who knows. Just a thought.
