Always love and appreciate your lock vids! My only critique would be that a number of those items you named BiS is only BiS for destro, not affliction. Now while I play mainly destro I prefer items that add spell power in general and not specific to fire as I like to switch to affliction now and then and even in destro some of the spells I use are also shadow based. Plus I like to PvP from time to time and sacrificing a ton of survivability for spell power can mean you end up dead ALOT, even in a raid, lol. But thanks a mill for a great vid! We cleared Gnomer last night for the first time and it was fun!
Good guide. But for the Menagerie fight it can be worth it to run Shadowbolt Valley and Everlasting Affliction and just keep Corruption up and spam Shadowbolt. It outs perform the usual Incinerate/Chaos Bolt by a good bit imo, and it's really really strong if you can keep the mobs abit stacked :) Just a tip, even tho this is not a boss video and just a bis list.
Hey Crix - good video as per usual. What kind of EP points are you using when calculating SP over +hit%? Wondering, as without boon of bfd, we’ll be lacking hit this phase and was thinking Staff of Evil Genius + tier set would mitigate this (over the gizmoblade + irridiated 3set). Thoughts?
Will you make a PVP guide? Last phase I was dominating but this phase is just rough. Cant go affliction shit dies too fast can’t go destro cus the cast time
I did the Orb of Noh'Orahil quest and the orb only has shadow damage. Did I mess up and was suppose to talk to the other acolyte? No quest guides for the quest mentioned anything about getting a different outcome.
I did it too, was just busting out quests for gold and forgot about that. Don't sweat it though just aim to get the Necro-Gnomicon from the raid instead. It has the same # but it's Spell Power rather than Fire Power so it'll be useful for all of your spells like ShadowBurn and Corruption, etc. You just don't get the heal on use effect. Imo one from raid is better, helps all spells instead and you shouldn't require a heal effect. Pop a potion, eat a healthstone, etc.
Yeah it's tied with BiS. I just didn't mention it because of Firestone/Orb. Usually you can pass it and let another Caster have it, but no big deal and grats!

its kinda crazy between the imp fire shield/thorns, retricuitioner enchant on chest and the helm buff you can get get like ~30 damage thorns of 3 different damage type@@Crix_Gaming
No idea. Is the boss in your Lake? I've got a handful of times i'm seeing over 4k. Without seeing a log or your gear, I wouldn't be able to tell you why yours is lower my friend.
For Fire, I'll have a raid guide out soon, working on it now. But Precast Incinerate, put your Curse up(CoR usually), Put down Lake of Fire, Chaos Bolt, Immolate, and spam Incinerate while keeping Lake of Fire down, Chaos Bolt on cooldown and Immolate on the boss at all times. I like to throw a Solid Dynamite if I move, if I don't need to move, then i'll just throw it in my opener after Immolate. I shadowburn as a finisher or if I need to move and Dynamite on cooldown. Life Tap when needed(this takes priority if Mana Potion is on cooldown and I'm moving) If you have Tailoring Help, I use it on the opener, but be careful because of threat it can cause if you happen to Crit a bunch. If you have threat issues, then just use your Tailoring Helm anytime during the fight AFTER you have Lake of Fire up.
Yes Dismantling since I have the Gizmoblade. However it is EXTREMELY close to use Int enchant if you're using a Staff. Like ridiculously close since dismantling proc rate is ass. Plus Int enchant is like free pretty much in comparison to Dismantling.

Bis is the same for fire and aff this phase, just swap any fiery wrath gear for shadow wrath

Same. Came out of p1 disgusted at my luck. Didn't really 'gear up' until the last three weeks of p1. Now already have the main hand but also the Wand.

the non tailoring helm you mention doesnt give you a barrier it gives you a thorns buff for 10 mins

Why wouldn’t you use void pearl instead of PvP trinket? Then u can use the PvP ring and gain 6 spell power
It's more DPS to use the Trinket over the Ring, but not by much, like 2-3 DPS.

Nah it doesn't. In classic you can stack Elixirs
