Hi Amy & Eric!!! I liked your video today. I have to always think of my Mother-in-Law when I see homemade bread. As a Mother♡ of 13 she was the best bread maker and when she baked she really baked!!! She would call all of us to come get some bread. Thank you for the cutting tips. Take care. Stay safe & GOD bless.
Hi DiDi. Oh Gee 13? I would bet your mom was the greatest at making bread. Fresh bread is great. All we had to look forward to was Safeway promising French bread hot and ready at 5PM. Stay safe. God bless!!!
Great demo! I need to learn that. Just bought a nice new bread knife. Didn’t think to try my electric knife. I will try that. Either way, i just need practice.
Thanks Amy, I have the electric knife and was thinking of getting a bread slicer guide but thanx to you I only need to practice. Was wondering your loaf looks beautiful mine tend to wrinkle on top, do you have any suggestions on how to improve? Thank you
Yah , so easy . l must admit that l sliced my homemade bread before watching ur vid and it turned out gr8. Your vid did reassure me that l was on the right track though. Gr8 vid thanx. 😃👏👍👌😋🖐
Hi Amy again, from what you said yesterday, I'm thinking of either getting a Bosch Universal (Not Universal Plus), or a Nutrimill Artiste. They both will fit under my counter? But if I get the scrapers/extenders, do you think they can do single batches of cookies or doughs? I greatly value your opinion and love that you help me out.
Have you used a Pullman bread pan? I just ordered one and excited to use it. I hope you can answer my question, can I use my bread recipe or do I need to use one made for the Pullman? Thanks so much!
Buying a bread machine is one of my goals. But money is tight. I like to know which bread machines are worth getting under $300. It's going to be awhile before we are ready to buy one. It's in que after I replace my old computer and finally get a couch for the living room I'm also waiting for a chance to get outdoor patio furnature. So, there is no rush. I hope there will be an update in the future.
Amy has a video on Bread machines (she has quite a few). Since money is tight, shop the thrift stores and look for a clean, almost new condition machine that makes up to a 2 lb. loaf. Make sure the pan isn't scratched up and it has a paddle (and a rubber seal if the model has a hole in the pan like the round Welbilt or Dak models). Plug it in to see if it works, too. Amy's video will tell you the brands/models to look for. You can usually find a manual online.
FaceBook Marketplace might also be a place to watch for. Also eBAy. If there's a model you have your eyes on, you can do a search and it might (years later) pop up. Amy's done that with some of her mixers.
Hi Amy I Really Missed Your Content, It's Been A Long Time, AnyWay Great Tips For Slicing Bread!!! Love Your Video and Love Your Content, P.S. What Is The Title Of The Song You Used In Your Livestreams? Or A Video Link To That Music You Used In Your LiveStreams.
She has a subscription to Epidemic Sound. Otherwise, we'd get hammered by copyright violations, since even RUclips's "royalty free" music seems to turn on you a few years later. Kinda crazy. So if you have a sub to that, then you can find it.
I am new to baking bread. Do you slice the entire loaf and then store it that way? Where do you get the bags to store your bread? I live in a very dry climate so bread can dry out quickly. Thanks for any advice.
We let the loaf cool completely then put it in storage bag with twist tie. Amy usually does this late in the day, so we don't slice until the next morning. Just the way we do things. So she will slice the whole loaf. If we have enough bread in the house that we can't eat it all in two days, we will freeze a loaf. We use Walmart's Great Value Twist Tie Storage Bags. Bread dries out here as well. Good luck on your Baking Journey. Never be afraid to try something new. It's not the end of the world if something doesn't turn out right, and you'll learn and make some amazing food.
I notice you keep the previous slices at the same angle as they fell, as a sort of reference. And that you don’t change your body position almost at all, just scoot the bread forward... You must have a special sense of your hands and arms in relation to each other, to keep that angle even!

Ain't that the truth! LOL.

You’re a flower in the desert right now, so uplifting and cheerful and I already know how to slice bread.
Thank you for the nice words Mike. Those mean a lot to Amy.

I like a standard 2 lb. loaf.
Thanks, Amy!
Great demo! I need to learn that. Just bought a nice new bread knife. Didn’t think to try my electric knife. I will try that. Either way, i just need practice.

I bow to your slicing skills! How much do you charge for a house visit to slice my bread? 😉
Just don't call Amy the slicing queen (to the tune of Dancing Queen). I'm sure it will go to her head. LOL.
“Wonder ain’t got nothing on you, Boo!” Haha I love it. Nice video
😊 thank you!
😲 Amy very nice slicing 🥰
I have a vintage Sears electric knife that is excellent for me,. I originally got the knife to cut foam when I was doing upholstery work!
Vintage Sears electric knife. That's sounds cool.
I'll be heading over to try your bread recipe sometime
Please let me know how you like it. Thanks for watching, Vanessa!
Yes ma’am we call that “skills” down south !!

Eric Learns to Cook absolutely! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

First time viewer I subscribed!
I am, I'm weeping. I bought the knife you showed with the first loaf you showed you sliced. No fair switching.
That knife is good and cheap. No weeping. You did good. :-) The electric knife is cool though, especially if slicing a roast or some brisket.
You didn't watch the video till the end?
Thank you so much for this
This is most helpful!

@@coraline5967 aka Ankarsrum. Amy got "Fifty" number two on FaceBook Marketplace at the beginning of the lockdown.
Another get video yes I like. My favorite way to slice bread is with
a meat slicer.
Serrated blade? Or does the regular smooth blade work?
Never thought of that (meat slicer).
@@spacewolfcub I'm thinking the blade is serrated or it wouldn't work.
I will actually freeze my bread for a little bit before cutting it
Good Job ❤️

Is it normal that my bread is hard as rock on the outside but soft in the inside? I don’t like it, is that normal or am I making a mistake
Did you make this bread by hand or use a bread machine? Which bread machine do you like to use if any?
I made this loaf in a stand mixer. Here is the video on it: ruclips.net/video/eMH3W2gRDSU/видео.html
I am looking for the video of comparison of the Cuisinart precision master and a kitchen aid model. I saw it but couldn't find it again.
Hi Frank! I've never tested the Cuisinart Precision. I tested the old model but not the one that they are selling now.
owow cool
What about slicing crusty bread? Mine is definitely cooled down, but always ends up squished by the force I use to get through crust.
I'm thinking the electric knife might do it because you can let the knife do the work for you.
Please, a slice with peach butter.
ooohhh??? Peach butter? ummm That sounds tasty!!!
How much

You know. Amy can't add 2+2 but she can slice bread. Go figure. Must be a gift from the All Mighty.
Explaining how to use the knife correctly wouldn't harm either.
Honey I’m going to go grab my sawzaw I got an idea on how to slice bread
So basically your tutorial on how to slice bread is to get a knife and cut it?
Claudia ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US?!?!?!
jk lol
You can eye ball the width of your index finger. Easy -peasy lemon-squeezy. Yes practice makes perfect! Don’t cut yourself ! Lol
Yeah. Keep fingers out of knife's way is the smart thing to do.
I lost
My bread guide dropped plastic chips on my cutting board
هننن
My kids just rip it apart ☹️😆
LOL! Well it is understandable because it is so delicious! Thanks for watching!
It's not a big deal it's only bread 🍞 cutting any knife will do
No real tips, tricks or insights.
ITS CUTTTTTTTTTTTT BREAD NOT SLICED
you do not deserve the calories that come from bread.
