I just started at the end of April 2024. Have 350 items on my store and grossed almost $5000.00. I have a fulltime job so only p/t. I have been only posting 5-10 day so not much but happy with what I have gotten. I do it all by myself. So I am happy to learn the ends and outs and will do better in 2025. Love your videos. I am almost 60 and have many things to sell. Had two kids one born in the 80's and one in the 90's. Things they don't want will go up for sale. WWII parents so have things from that era as well. Will see.
Hi from the UK, we started eBay in July this year, the last 6 months we laid down the foundations for next year & beyond, today we have over 1000 listings, next year is about buying better quality stock with higher margins, plus Vinted & Whatnot, thanks again for the content
Selling since 1999 unlisted everything for sale this week. We are done. Ebay no longer protects it's sellers and allows false feedback with no removal process we are absolutely fed up! Not to mention the devious listing and constantly flipping up people are doing. We have made plenty from ebay now it's time to focus and grow a real business not ebays pocketbook.
What country are you in? I have had no issues getting feedback removed but I often see people from the US complaining about being unable to remove feedback.
There's literally a form you fill out and the feedback is gone within minutes. Ebay protects its sellers sometimes too much. I recently heard of a buyer complaining they bought something from a seller who sent it to a different address in their suburb. It was marked as delivered and ebay Sided with the seller. So in short, you're wrong
@emusaurus i love how stupid people like you talk out of their necks our store has sold millions in product since 99 if there was a way to remove it would have been accomplished by now. Their customer service for us is null and void they only allow email response now and it's no longer an option to speak with anyone when inquiring for help. Because of the automated response systems they have in place it's not actually real people reviewing the case so it's being denied each time. If we could actually get on the phone like we did 6 months ago this issue would be resolved. The real issue is the automated response systems coupled with AI and Indian customer services rep replay with cut and paste when the problem requires a custom solution
If you actually bothered to watch, you would realise as Matt said, he has other income streams from RUclips, mentoring and the like......maybe go and have a look....
Will do 950K in revenue on eBay this year. Started in 2015, first year was around 12K in revenue. There is still plenty of room to grow. eBay is still a fantastic platform for selling if your profit margin is high enough to deal with fees, ad costs, buyer returns, etc. Anyone who is "quitting" eBay either doesn't have the right mindset or isn't selling the right items.
its fantastic what you have achieved but set your next year goal higher with 180-210k gross. better to underperform a bigger goal with 150-160 than overperform your 130k goal with 135-140.
@@TheAussieFlipper All up you would be easily putting in 40 hours a week. Sourcing, listing, posting, making videos. If it is part time, why did you employ Courtney?
I'm waiting for the videos from this year's Christmas party. I'm sure you would have had a better one than 3 years ago! Are you driving to Victoria or flying? I'm up nearly 50% from last year with a higher ASP. Still kicking around with doing this Part time.
I started up again 2 month's ago im at 6263, 95 listed 73 sold i sell everything my asp is at $90 and I'm in Tfindingthe prices are crazy its hard to find profitable items. Often i have to pay up and take more risk
Hav e only been back in the game for 2 years, although been with Ebay since it started. Now in my 70s and I use Ebay for my holiday account so don't push as hard as I could. I also only sell top of the pile high quality, goods but it's so hard to source now. No shoes, DVDs, and clothing unless it's out of the box good. Just quirky things and stuff that brings me joy. Still I struggle to get my $20 an item profit. The postage is a big killer especially on smaller items. Given Tasmania is a lower socio economic area , the price that is charged by the Salvos, St Vincentde Paul etc. Is Horrendously high and find their attitude to us resellers is abysmally poor. I still enjoy the game but I doubt I could make a good living as in the past.
Thanks Mat. Please go to a few Op shops here in Melbourne, you will see the difference in pricing. Very few bargains to be had. I'm just a hobby seller but this year has been the worst. I cancelled my store (too costly) and I've had more sales Go figure. Lol Anyway keep doing you, you're brilliant at it. 😊
I started selling on Ebay this past May. Work got real slow so i decided to give it a try and got hooked. I love it and your videos. There has been a Canada Post strike here in Ontario Canada which has brought my store to a stop sales wise. During this period i have sourced like mad and listed like mad. Good items too. Im so ready to open again and really get some momentum. I have goals and the drive to succeed. I have no limitations mate. Thanks for making these amazing videos. It really helps out big time Cheers
What an awesome result from a single car garage store. I’m teaching my kids this strategy (10&13) They earn money from pamphlet letterbox dropping, So another stream of income they can work on
im just a very casual seller but managed to a little more then double my earnings from last year so i think next year im going to get a bit more serious about it and see if i can double this years earnings
Love your channel, you provide a lot of great info for newer sellers... I started selling about 18 months ago. The biggest challenge I have is getting my listings to over 100. Any tips on how I can speed up my process?

We gave up on ebay reselling in 2022. The cost of Aus Post postage kept going up and it was getting too hard to actually make any money off it :(
Why buy just one light bulb ? A serious reseller would always keep a spare on hand , and you would save on postage instead of buying one
One foot flipper keeps 2 of everything. Like Noah's ark.

80 grand profit. Working a full time job aswell. Mainly selling vinyl records. Shut down today until the 1st of January.
Forget reselling, I'm going to do my Xmas shopping there :)

EBay removes my negatives automatically.

How do you manage this full time with a mortgage, only pulling in $1000 per week?
He reckons he only works on ebay part time. I call B.S!

Even full transparency can’t win 😂
Tell me you’re a numpty without telling me you’re a numpty 🫠
It would be a good idea to have one or two lightbulbs spare moving forward
Terrible idea actually

Great video as always! The Audio is a bit low on this video as well, it seems like a more recent issue.
So £22k profit for the year, gbp. Good as a side hustle but not enough to go full time
That’s right. As discussed eBay hours are around 25 hrs per week
Link for the light boxes you use please? Thank you 🙏

I'm reading your woolworths cards listing as 1000 unopened packs. 😶
yepppp we bought a bunch!!
Very misleading title. Clickbait
Nah, just clever :-)

🐲selling fast while the dogs gear gathers cobwebs, love it 👏😂

What a ridiculous clock bait title. Not necessary.
Yep. Terrible.
Kate is so precious. Great sales, enjoy your time off. ❤😊
By any chance, were in Maroochydore on Sat? could have sworn I saw you op shopping 😬
I like the what sold videos.
Why did you title the video like this ?
To get more views. Clickbait.
I buy cameras with chargers. I decided to buy a universal camera battery charger. Game changer. I can test cameras and be 100% sure it works or not.
smart!
eBay is good as a sideline hobby. Relying on a full time income is foolhardy, imo. 45k profit is less than a full time minimum wage!
I must be doing it wrong then. Pays all of my bills and then some. Git gooder?
like I said I don't work on eBay FT. Part Time profit.. not bad
@@TheAussieFlipper All up you would be easily putting in 40 hours a week. Sourcing, listing, posting, making videos. If it is part time, why did you employ Courtney?
I sell fulltime on eBay but we all have other revenue streams.
Time to move to mate. Cheaper to run. Brighter. Smaller. Cooler. No globe issues.
Better off importing brand new goods and then reselling them on ebay for a profit.

Why didn’t you simply buy a cheap charger cord for the camera and possibly make an extra $100?
I don’t like delays
Same reason he only did 45k in a year

Drop me a line I know some mad oppshop runs in Melbourne, a dozen shops a run 👍 all on public transport
sweet!
Kate is lovely!
She really is!
I refuse to buy anything on eBay any more as it's not worth the hassle.
Yeah it is
I prefer buying off eBay vs Amazon. I get infuriated when my “eBay “ purchase arrives as FBA

Why would I want to get started on ebay when its about to come to an end!... 🙁 so no need to watch any more of your videos...

Hey bro, when are you going to make a video about selling internationally and what products are best to sell to USA?
Kate is so sweet, you should have her in all your videos.
