My favourite remix of all time.. Jada was exceptional as always but Ludacris held it down 100%. His entry & performance was nothing short of legendary& amazing
“It’s the Mr Luda, Jada & Nas and our bullets give you a deep tissue massage” is still one the coldest bars ever. Luda is one of the most underrated MC’s ever.
Luda is slept on heavily. Unfortunately, rappers from the south have always been slept on. Im from Jersey just to be clear but i started listening to early southern rap in the 90s. It different and thats why it didnt hit in NYC. Just like the reason some northern rappers arent relatable to southern dudes. Hip Hop is inherently regional. Some things will fly over the head of people who arent from that culture and a reslut of that is that they dont even want to hear the other side. It took me time to give it a chance. I dont regret it. Dudes were missing out on UGK, Geto Boys, 36 mafia, dungeon family, and etc. Such a shame
@@Gardenstategreat1225 I think Luda issue was he did a lot of comedy type rap and became an actor. In his prime he was one of the biggest dudes in the game, easy.
@@HookedonChronics his rap wasn’t comedy but the videos were. So like homie said with some swag being regional, the only time you might see what dude look like is in a music video that’s popular(in an era where music videos meant a lot). They see all extras in the video, it may not necessarily attract someone to the real rap shxt Luda could actually get into. Almost like a gift and curse of his own creativity.
That beat complimented by the gunshots gives this song a whole different energy. And to have legendary rap gods get on the remix makes it nothing but a classic
That bongo sample probably one of the nicest samples in hiphop history!! Love the spirit of the music, 3 different cadences and the energy is off the roof. This is what hiphop is about!!!
There’s an energy about This song that no other rapper has ever made. Made you look is a hip hop tune to its core, research the sample and you’ll see even more as to why
So much energy in this live performance. Nas, Jada & luda are on the next level, so high. Darryl McDaniels look like he's living her best life in this concert
That remix is LEGENDARY, Nas, Kiss and Luda went APE on that joint. And that Salaam Remi beat was MEAN...when that joint drops in the club people just lose it. The energy is that spot had to be AMAZING when they dropped this by the looks of it.
this is a moment that i wish i could have seen. i was only 14 and in alabama. that energy is crazy and i think i would have been frozen in amazement. they crowd was blessed to be apart of that

I was there, me and my girl at the time whom I married, and the video is great but it does not capture how great Nas sounds, his voice bouncing off the walls, the waves rippling through the floor, the building was swaying with the crowd, like the actual physical building was swayiing I really honestly thought the floor was going to collapse. I have seen a thousand performances at Webster Hall on that same stage and no one from any genre, rock, raves, edm, nothing even on club nights, nothing ever came close to the way it was rocking when Nas touhed that mic. Webster Hall for those who don't know is a major stage in NYC, and Thursday night used to feature major hip hip acts every week, I am trying to put into words how dope this performance was, but words are insufficient. i am blessed to have been there, and I will say believe it or not, his live indoor performances like this are better than his albums because you really hear his voice, and then realize this man can really rap, there is no gimmicks, or no tricks as Reakwon informed us on verbal intercourse, he really raps like that, and it was amazing to witness.
I was 13yrs old when this came out and I can tell you everyone wanted cornrows during this era of Ludacris. Watch how he switches mics with Jadakiss without dropping the grey goose😎
