  • After all the modifications I have made on this bike, something has finally broken.
Also thanks to Darren Cook from Ride360 for working out a fix to the clutch slave cylinder issue when installing larger chains on the bike. www.ride360.co...

Very important info. I was wondering if it's possible to fix this issue with spacers/washers and you just answered my question. Opens up some chain choice options. Thanks!

If ducati just redesigned the bottom spacer so it didn't have to be ground out or spaced, it would be fine. I believe Darren who had a play around with this has sent a design to some fabricators to see what they can do.

I've stuck some stick-on wheel weights to the flat bit of that bar. Engine vibrations are still there around 3800rpm but the crash bars vibrate significantly less now. Would say its about 90% gone.

I originally had the vibration issue untill I torqued them correctly then it was all good. But the welds are a bit of an issue in some places.

Huh, I'll have to try this. I have the same resonance at nearly exactly 4K that everyone mentions with the OEM bars. Everything is nice and tight but giving it a good hit on either side definitely has a rattle. The vibration doesn't bother me as much as the really high pitch noise I can hear even through plugs.

@@KingJreff Yea, I think the cause of all the vibes between 3500 and 4000 is caused by that cross bar. Happens at exactly 3800rpm. Have tested it setting by setting cruise control on in 3rd or 4th gear at 3800rpm.

My crash bar weld has cracked as well, same cross bar but its cracked on the right hand side.

I do not think those have been welded very well at all. Will see how long my new one lasts.

@@koalakoncepts fingers crossed they’ll approve my warranty claim. I’ve removed the bars now but one of the bolts that goes into the engine mounting bolt snapped clean in half. I haven’t had a great day with the DesertX 😂

@gpzfan5272 Wow that is a bad day. That is a strange one to break.
