Idk, that dish was pretty but also pretty basic. Lemon, salt, pepper, avocado as the base, a little swipe of a garlic clove on the bread and all that whipped butter kind of made me gag. She could have chosen whipped feta or some kind of whipped cheese, but butter?! And that much of it? Plus the rice paper tweel- pretty but not at all exciting. The chili oil was really the only thing to enhance it and I agree with him, pine nuts seemed like an afterthought. In essence, she didn’t do anything creative to actually elevate the avocado itself and I don’t personally care for avocados because I find them bland and their texture puts me off but I was excited when she announced what her dish would be and was put off by the lack of seasoning
@@bunbun9109 Nah they're called oil balls cos that's the only flavour you can taste from it- oil. At least with something like fried potato balls you can taste the potato yk?

Congrats to the new chef. Ryan is always a pleasure to see what he creates. I am from the United States and Buzzfeed Oz is really carrying the Buzzfeed brand imo. Just great a set of talent and wonderful personalities.
I think the winner was a bit lame, not in personality but mainly in the fact he was so critical yet had the least avocado-centered/ inspired dish, that also lacked any avocado flavor. I don't think he deserved the win, although his creativity was out of this world... Also, he gave a score of 6.8? Bruh, I can't, that score reminded me of the teachers who gave students an 89.9997% grade just so that the student had a B instead of an A.
I've always noticed too when a chef 'tries something new' or different, conveniently they'll mark lower on everyone else. I didn't think he deserved to win either. I think Ryan or Tankia imo.
@@golemofiron7250 I meant that his scoring was like a teacher not rounding up a grade that is a hundredth of a decimal point away from the higher whole number grade. In your case yes, that would be applicable, however, hopefully, this helps you understand an already simple statement.
That titan looking guy should never be brought to this show again. Underscored the hell everyone to give himself a fraudulent win. Tanika is still, by far, the best chef in this series.
I would’ve loved to see a sweet dish amidst these savoury ones. Avocados are honestly the perfect fruit to create milky sweet desserts with, so delicious 🤤🤤
So the guy who was most critical won and they could barely even taste the avocado??? He complained about the avocado in almost all the dishes and that was the point the avocado 😭
It is so funny to me that avocado has become such a trend. Being from the caribbean I had it in many ways. When I use to make avocado toast or sandwich in my college dorm people thought it was weird. Lmao
Their avocados look so good!!!!!! Especially when Ryan opened his it just looked so bright and delicious! I felt like diving through the screen just to take a bite of some of these😍
watching the reaction to ryans dish was hilarious and a big welcome to morgan! i can understand some people may not enjoy his commentary, but as a fellow (pastry) chef i can honestly say he is approaching his critiques in a very professional manner. highlighting the best parts of a dish as well as giving input as to where it could be improved. as well as tasting every component on its own and then how they blend together. very refreshing to see!
He's so critical and naming the other chefs dishes?! I'm sorry... he's pretentious. The ppl on this channel are cherubs and I'm very protective of them OK.
"Avocado caviar" isn't exactly groundbreaking. Great that he explored another rendition of avocado but my gosh it isn't really that special since a whole lot of other foods can now also be turned into "caviar". His dish clearly wasn't bad. It seemed good. But I don't think it was all that either. Sheesh.
I'm wasabi biased. I always ask for extra wasabi when I get sushi & I use wasabi sauce for my sandwich condiments. I want some of that wasabi egg thing 😍
I don't know if it was his mic, or if he was being quiet, but Morgan seemed way quieter than the others. I turned it up to hear him and then the others were too loud.
Black bean reduction like... refried beans 😅 sorry but his dish was like "these caviar sprinkles have avocado color, therefore, this is an avocado dish!". Now I understand his scores and critiques to the other dishes 😂
This is just my opinion is that Morgan do barely did anything with avocado and he's really cocky I think one of the other three people should have won he really didn't do what the dish called for
Dude.... Why is the "new guy" talking shit about how much avocado there is in each dish? It's an avocado dish.... Of course avocado is the main focus. He get's on my nerves lol no more of him please.
So, Australians have just never heard of guacamole? How do you talk about smashing avocados for almost fifteen minutes, and never mention guacamole once?
tbh I think he's right about #2, this is about avos BUT that was a bit of overkill with avo - idk about other ppl, but I can't eat an entire avo like that. it looked delicious though, better than his dish 😶
Is this the part where I announce I couldn't taste the Wasabi because after this shoot, I learned I had covid and lost most of my taste 🥲
HAHAHA NOOO hope you recover soon
I pray you get well asap 🙏🥺
pooorr bbyy :( hope u get well soon
Haha just as I predicted!!
AHAHAHA NO
It's an AVOCADO DISH. Of course it's going to be the hero of the dish! WTF is that guy on about?

Agreed, used to like UK's but they don't post as good stuff anymore,
It really is. They're the best
Ive mentioned this same sentiment on a few of their videos. I agree 100%
BF Oz is, by a landslide, the best thing BF has to offer it’s audience.
Preach 👏👏👏👏
Agreed! For this one, I was really into his idea, except the double stack of english muffin. Just, no. But he had covid, so he's excused.
Luisa is such a vibe! Love her energy, more of her please x.
Who says "TOO MUCH AVOCADO!" In a avocado dish challenge? 🙄
Apparently, the same guy who used practically no avocado and still managed to win... This was a bit annoying.

he's a guest that's why they let him win. you know out of respect. or else he'd have gotten lowest scores.
Morgan was pretty critical, tbh.
As he was putting it in I thought, "that looks like a LOT of wasabi!' And sure enough lol
He couldn’t tell because he had Covid during this.
"I don't like smashed avocado"
Makes a dish of smashed avocado 🤣
She didn't say that😭 she said she don't like when its "too" smashed

How'd he win? Barely used avocado. He was mad critical about the other avocado dishes too, lol.
All of the dishes looked amazing. I would have smashed the avocado caviar concoction, the eggs benedict, all of them. Love the new chef and Luisa.

I know he didn't say he made a bean reduction. Is that not just refried beans......
Ryan needs to open his own restaurant bc I wanna try all his creations
Those are the best avocados I’ve ever seen
“Pretty darn speccy” 😂So amusing

It's sad that there's no sweet avocado dish. For many cultures, avocado is a dessert fruit rather than a savory fruit.

My favorite avocado dish is very simple; I take an everything seasoned rice cake, smear on some guacamole add chorizo and an over medium egg.

Sorry but that is not pico de gallo. That’s a tomato salad. You’re missing one of the main components which is jalapeños but nice effort.
going through this series and its the first time i ever disliked one of the chefs lol
