It still has a very active community through the FAF (Forged Alliance Forever) client. Website of the same name. If your just starting, grab a friend who likes RTS and just practice a bit with the AI's. The economy in this game takes a LOT of learning. But its well worth it.
I second what @SanguineGeneral said, there is definitely an active community! There is also a huge influx of new players right now (me included), I think in large part due to Gyle casts. I actually made my Beginner's Guide series to help out all these new players, it will definitely help you out if you're just starting! I encourage you to check out Forged Alliance Forever (link in description). It's a community driven client with years of balance patches, performance improvements, an elo ranking system, simple mod integration, etc. You can always do non-ranked games with friends / AI if you're more comfortable with that as well. There's never been a better time to pick up Sup Com! Hope to see you around! :D
Loving your videos - just smashed through the faction specific ones which were great too! Please for the love of God, can you tell me how to see the reclaim value of rocks and things? I haven't been able to find it and I *used* to know.
The key shortcuts on the building menu come default with Forged Alliance Forever! Check out my response to Colton on what FAF is if you're not sure Cheers :D
@@TheGreenSquier Thanks! After this I realised my shortcuts were the SC default. Once I resetted them to the FAF ones, the shortcuts appeared on the actions... now I need to re-learn the shortcuts :D
I haven't figured this out yet... If I set a rally point for a factory, will tanks heading there attack as they go, or is it a move command rally? Thanks! These tips are handy for a super-noob like me.
They'll shoot anything they see no matter what, but if you hold the Alt button to use the Attack Move command from a factory, I believe they'll go off course to attack things. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
