- BABY BLANKET CROCHET PATTERN WITH BEAUTIFUL LILY OF THE VALLEY CROCHET STITCH PATTERN AKA GRANNY SPIKE STITCH FOR BABY BLANKETS AND EASY CROCHET BORDER
In today's crochet tutorial by crochet for baby I will show you how to crochet this absolutely beautiful crochet baby blanket with my Lily of The Valley crochet stitch pattern and delicate border. You can crochet it as a coming home baby blanket or as a baby shower present. You can make it for baby boys and girls and is made with the lily of the valley crochet stitch also known as spike granny stitch crochet pattern. To make this crochet baby blanket with crochet border I used approx. 740g in white and 74g of light blue (814g total) of Big Twist Soft #4 yarn with a 5.5mm hook. The finished size of my baby blanket is approx. 38in long x 39in wide including the border which measures about 3in. You can make your baby blanket smaller or bigger with any type of yarn and any hook size. The stitch multiple to this easy crochet stitch pattern is 4.

I have just finished this blanket and it's turned out sooooo beautiful. I used dk and a 5.5mm hook , same chain count as yours and I did 95 rows and a deeper border . Measures 42"×43 complete. I used 380g for main part of the blanket in white and for the border 63g blue and 80g of white. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I cant wait to see my great great Nephew wrapped up in it when he comes in October 💖.

I’m on my way to creating this beautiful blanket! A couple of questions though, when you are at the border stage and changing the color for the first time, do you weave the new color (blue) tail in as you go? And when you float the first color (white) up to switch back to it, are you doing anything to « tuck » that floated edge to hide and secure it in place? Thanks for sharing this pattern, again, it’s so beautiful!
I just join and then hide all ends at the end which is easier. Good luck I’m sure it will be beautiful 🤗

Do you leave the yarn attached when you are creating the border? It looked like you didn't cut it when you switched color each time. Thanks so much for sharing your pattern with us. Yes I left it but you can cut it too and reattach for each row.
