Hi Mark - I have seen a lot of Metcalf kits put together along with myself trying a few and I have to say your viaduct is one of the best I have seen. Nothing out of line, or lifting etc, very professional job. Continue like this and your layout is going to look superb as I have no doubt it will anyway. Regards Chris
Wow thank you so much I really appreciate your comment, I’ve just had a look back and some reason I didn’t get a notification on your last 2 video so that’s my Friday night entertainment thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙂
Very impressive looking set of arches Mark, that will make for some interesting scenery, look forward to seeing it progress. All the best dude. Brian@ The Angels
Hi Mark. Nice job. I made the red brick version and finished off with a 2mm plywood track bed to hopefully stop warping over the years and for fixing the track. Wow 12 arches are going to look great. Regards Ala in the loft :o)
Thank Alan yeah I was thinking plywood top too, so good to know someone who has done it already 👍🏻 12 arches now will eventually be 16 for the straight section, hope your well and hopefully see you on Sunday, thanks for watching 🙂
@@HemelDownModelRailway Hi Mark. 16 arches will look great. I / We have a small problem, in that Mark and I have contracted Covid which has put myself and mark in bed for three days. I am slowly getting better each day but it has been awful. So the life Sunday is looking doubtful to happen. What else can get in the way. Regards Alan :o(
@@AlanReynoldsBucklandJunction omg I’m so sorry to hear I wish you both a speedy recovery! Hey it will happen soon I’m sure onwards and upwards, take care and keep resting 🙂
Top job there mate, I really wish mine was 00 gauge and not N with the cutting of the tabs to create an arched brick effect, absolute pain 😢 X 30. Your gonna get some great camera angles of locos coming across that though.👌
I think Dave at Dean park Sean’s his card structures with Matt varnish to stop them warping from water during the scenic process but please check first ,that viaduct is going to look impressive Mark Metcalf do some good quality kitts and last well ,all the best ,Mark
Looks good, how are you going to secure the track? I was think of replacing the track bed with some thin ply (3mm) and glue the track and ballasting and then slotting it into place. It will be a couple of months yet till I'm ready to do it.
Yeah I did wonder about it taking track I think plywood is the answer, Alan Reynolds just commented and said that he used plywood so I will go the same way I think, I’ll let you know how I get on with it 🙂
Viaduct is looking good Mark 👍🏻 Hope you feel better soon 😊
Thank you, lucky it’s just a cold 🙂
Brilliant kits. The more I see them, the impressed I am. Should have bought some Metcalfe kits while we were over there.
