lifetime ghost shell immunity here i come
I strongly suspect the immunity is 'if someone fires a ghost shell at you, you will never die'....
@@otdewiljes that’s the joke
Curious fact: sometimes, a bug make ghost ammo racks that don't explode when hit. It happens because there is no ammo there, the game don't compute the explosion, but the shot sometimes are absorved by it, as if was ammo there.
Ah that explains the blacked out ammo racks, nice tip.
That's why i always load fery few shells in my tanks = much less shells to explode.
"ash river is set in ireland" oh neat
"you can even see a union flag" ...
Oooof
"Tesco's Own Brand Commander Thermals" - made my fucking day.
one time i launched a missile at someone who pulled up right above a base so my missile missed him and hit the base so i got some bombing damage lol
The ordinance on the tab menu used to be useful back in the beta test when they would show the silhouette + ordinance of the other team in historical battles (now air RB). This meant that you could see what your opponent was armed with and how that would effect their performance before you engaged them, also useful for locating the last remaining player as you knew where they'd be going based off of the aircraft and armament. Now it has basically no use as you can only see your team mates on the tab menu.
4:08 soory mate i has to like this video and i have to go...
*R3 engine sound* to A site Ambush i go
This was really good! I've played this game for years and almost everything was new to me :D I hope you make a part 2!
3:05 not just the later variants, the early ones also have ridiculously strong landing gear
Knowing if you have spawn protection and pushing a tank while hooked on is genuinely useful knowledge
Some more trivia:
You can not only hit ground targets in friendly fire by calling artillery support. Similarly, you can bomb planes in the sky.
It is possible nto inflict damage with some smoke bombs.
Not all tanks can climb the same incline and apparently the load out can impact acceleration.
This is actually more useful than most of the stuff I've learned from school.
2:11 If you shoots your Independently controlled MG, especially.50, at your opponents gun barrel long enough, the enemy’s gun will break. This actually saved me once when my M18’s cannon got blown up by Tiger II. I switch to .50 and strafe at the 88mm and I pulled out with no further damage on my tank.
I don’t even play War Thunder but damn now I know a lot of almost useful knowledge about it
Fun fact: If your fuel tank/engine is on fire, you can drown your vehicle's engine deck to put it out effectively and instantly without getting killed.
Alot of these are genially useful thanks for the advice
Did you know modern air to air missiles can actually destroy some tanks with a direct hit only if the missile Is 400kg or over
another almost useful tip:
you can use a roof mounted machine gun as a range finder by using the sight distance control
If you don't have neutral steering, give the tank a little momentum before turning, in this way it will turn much faster.
You can do this by pressing W for a second and then release and press either D or A depending on which side you need to turn.
The early f100 also has a smaller rudder don’t know if it affects the planes performance in game though
Its a rudder for trim
This is so cool and useful, thanks for showing us, I think that the mig bombsight is really interesting and so is the f100 flap thing. Keep up the good vids. (I subbed :) )
The R3 T20 fact was actually useful for me when one was hiding behind a dead tank
Another almost useful knowledge: wanna see previous chat messages/battle progress AND mark on the map without pulling out that big ass map? Toggle cursor (or something like that) on controls et voila! Minimap too small? Hover cursor on minimap and use ur mouse wheel
AHHH< if this works when i get home, you are gonna be entioned in tonights prayers
Also lets you see the stat card of your shells
03:00 That is a reused model of bell two that is on beachy head next two eastbourne irl
3:01 well it obviously not set in Ireland if there’s a lighthouse with a Union Jack, it would have to be Northern Ireland then....
damn u right
@@ZoltanSultan was going to comment the same thing lol
I thought the shooting through mountains / 2 meters of solid ground was just janky hit boxes but you're telling me it's a feature. I love this game
4:21 "You can gain ghost shell immunity package by subscribing"
me: *Instantly subscribes*
3:29 i used this in the field and its actually pretty useful to move as cover for gun depression
Fact: all the corsair variants can use their landing gear as airbrakes, not just the later variants.
They where designed for that.
Hello from FINNS! Nice video even tho i have myself played this game for +5 years almost everything was new to me
Fun fact: the J20 in the swedish tree has an offset vertical stabilizer
Long time WT player.. didnt know a lot of those. Thanks for the fun video!
I didn't know about the corsair landing gears being able to withstand those speeds...
They where designed for it.
Thank you, some of these were genuinely almost useful!
Fun fact: AGM stands for Anti ground missile
Another fun fact:an agm can one shot the l3/33
3:04 I love how he was holding back a laugh there
ive caught Covid-19 like a day or 2 ago and your vids are the thing that helps me thru this tough time ❤❤❤❤
The first one about the tracks, idk if they changed it between when this video came out and now, but it doesn't just say module strength, it also says max inclination and traction charasteristics. Traction charasteristics being the one that allows for faster turning.
the machine gun the r3's ammo box has been really useful actually, its saved my life probably at least twice or thrice!
When you talk about subscribing, the subscribe icon lights up! Amazing!
And thus the worlds heart grew 3 times bigger. 2:36
Extremely interesting and potentially useful information, thank you sir!
oo potentially useful info sounds like a great title for when I make a part 2
I knew most of these but the ones I didn't know are so vital that this video was worth it.
Bro someone of this is genuinely useful, like that R3 thing got me thinking during match and led to me killing a 2S6 by shooting its missiles, cuz before hearing about the r3 thing I never knew you could kill a vehicle with external ammo
on normandy i prefer taking off and landing on the carrier its quicker then using the airfield and sneaky because they dont see it coming
3:30 this is actually very useful, especially if the enemy is shooting at you and you need either cover as you move or if you want to draw fire at the wreak
You can also immediately mark an enemy after dying by pressing alt and clicking on the mini map.
On the Normandy Beach Map, Soviets always spawn to the East; where they always have carriers on their side, and the closest sniper spots.
3:03 in the cockpit it even says that you need to put down the landing gear when diving.
I'm going to abuse the windmill thing. I have been in SO many situations where me and an enemy are on either side of that thing trying to poke out and shoot at eachother.
If I recall correctly, the Air map that Ash River is a part of (Cliffed Coast) has the Giant's Causeway somewhere along the coastline. It is considered a natural wonder: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant%27s_Causeway
Btw you can also mark on the minimap from your HUD if you bind a button for your cursor to appear.
Can we talk about how driving over a bomb will make the bomb disappear from view but it is now stuck to you until it explodes guaranteeing death
The light house is extremely accurate compared to what it looks like IRL
I still haven’t in 2 months forgotten about the you can push dead tanks faster with rope rope and always use it for cpver
Fun fact: a plane open War Thunder fly’s
Seeing an R3 T20 fucking explode is hilarious to me
the marking point works if you press alt really fast
only work if you have that bind
The fact of the aa missiles missing is pure science. Of course a missile that doesn't hit still has the potential energy to exert on a subject
By the general landscape of the place and the Union Flag in the lighthouse, its probably up north among the mountains or the Giant's Causeway!
It actually says in the cockpit near the gear stick of the late Corsairs: USE GEAR AS AIRBRAKE
Ash river is quite obviously Ireland as there is an Arcade map called Ireland that is the same map.
Thx for the info, i just started today and i say, its pretty fun
1:00 so thats why i got shot thru a windmill, i ragequit and now imma come bacc
The intro song is so suitable for top tier when your not a phantom
you can also hide puma sized vehicles in some houses around the A cap point on the japanese map
Fun fact: You do great work!
Also fun fact: I am now your 420th subscriber, so that's neat I guess
Thanks for the knowledge , everybody say im a hacker now thanks
i knew most of these but some like the buckets and jet fighter having a bomb sight i did not, thank you
The Chinese MiG-19 also has a radar lead sight, like on the T-2 and F-1. Though I highly doubt it had one irl. Along with the MiG-15 clone having a bomb sight...
3:14
*OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH SHHIITT AYAYAYAYAYAYAYA*
Those moments is what I call "OH SHET" moments
The corsair's landing gear/airbrakes thing was by design! The corsair was built for speed and the airbrakes were integrated into the landing gear to save weight. This really only worked because the corsair's landing gear was already insanely strong. Its a small thing that lets us know that the devs responsible for aircraft design in war thunder do their research
imagine training in the air force for like 2 years just to bulldoze a house with a multimillion dollar jet.
0:26 i think the tank in the no tracks does indeed have tracks on
I discovered some of those almost useful knowledge by accident.
you should make this as a series like a fun facts series
The capture points also help you to repair if you dont have the parts modifications.
The carrier fleet is reserved for only 1 team, the team whose spawn is on the beach. Also if anyone tries to bomb the carrier fleet from the enemy team, the carrier can shoot them down
0:38 F40 sabre focusing down the Shenyang? Colour me shocked!
Lifetime ghost shell immunity AS WELL as good content??? Fuck yeah!
Fun fact, when you get killed and know where it came from, hold ALT and you can mouse over the mini map and mark the spot
I actually did find out about the r3 ammo box by accident. I was in an m22 and all I could see was part of the gun and ammo box, so I shot the gun and machine gunned the ammo box.
4:15 useful for reserve, like M8 Greyhound or Russian tanks, not so much literally anything else
Puma
One can also use the commander KPVT on the IS-7 as an periskop and look over things
Your videos are the best.
