At this point, they just should give R3 scouting and ADS, and place it at like 7.0+.
Because right now you have all that speed and you can't do much with it... 5.7 Leopard is a much better vehicle in every way (only slower road). Very versatile.

Its very ironic how the R3 T20, originally made as a scout vehicle, doesnt have scouting, oh and irl it could fire the APDS rounds found on the Marder and Wiesel

01:06 I've watched War Thunder for a while, I don't think I've ever seen "Compartment destroyed" as an X-Ray kill message before.
M109 has about as much empty space and survivability as a battleship so it fits
Its a bug when you play ground after you play naval.
For some reason it makes ground x-ray messages to show naval x-ray messages considering ground x-ray messages are in all caps while naval have a correct capitalization.
And Dollar is like the only War Thunder CC that plays naval, so yeah.

not gonna talk about enlisted and that boat game, cause this is just another problem, a way more ridiculous one, enlisted could have be THE SHIT if not for the greed.
Crossout you can kinda cheat the economy, but the game is kept obsure so you struggle, gaijin idk what they do.
Don’t worry, most players that stay to their first or second 6.0 rating have developed Stockholm syndrome to this game, just coming back for more every time they get thrown around it’s meat grinder

I was so slow grinding the US tech tree that the R3 literally followed me it felt like lol. yeah that thing was disgusting at 3.3 and 4.0 where it originally was.

this thing is still pretty good, tbh being at 6.0 just means that now its job is to hunt all the paper tanks that start showing up around that BR. PT-76 comes to mind as well as the occasional BMP-1. M18 and M36 don't stand a chance either.

I have both vehicles, but I never thought they would actually be useful to hunt down tanks in non-arcade matches. Thanks for proving me wrong.
Seeing the R3 getting bullied brings a tear to my eye, and it's not the sad sympathetic type of tear either.
I wish SPAAs would be allowed to scout. Would help with getting a bit more SP and maybe encourage more players to actually bring an SPAA to battles.

then you would have people in the r3 and Leo AA running around making bank off disabling scouting and destroying the enemy team lol I like the scouting idea just they need to make it so that the r3 and Leo AA can not hurt tanks so its more encouraged to be used as a scout AA and not a tank destroyer AA with scout abilities.
@@ReallyBillyBoggs I do understand what you mean by the Leo AA being a little too OP if they added scouting to it. But we see that the R3 really struggles to get tank kills from much other than light tanks. I think it would be fair for Gaijin to add scouting to SPAAs with cannons less than 30mm. That would help most of the SPAAs that can’t really be used for much other than AA, unlike some of the later SPAAs or larger cannon SPAAs.
@@austinl9953 the r3 only struggles because people insisted upon trying to tank destroyer with it so it kept going up in br ...it started like 2.3 or 3. br its going up because people still try to TD with it but now can only sit there shooting peoples tracks and barrels till the person cant repair anymore then they take off so yeh the r3 cant pen tanks but they can be a nuisance just sitting there shooting your tracks off which is why gaijin is moving it up, the Leo is gonna be the same thing people are gonna keep trying to rat in it till it can only be used as an AA and is 100 percent ineffective vs tanks....its funny really cause they cause it themselves by playing ratty lol, n yeah I agree scouting would be really useful on some lower stuff in the brit tech tree and the US tech tree as lots of times you cant hurt the target and have to shoot it to warn yo team where as a scout feature would let you scout them and run ...I could see that being dope...but people would turn it into a way to get easy SL RP by having multiple aas scout then kill targets thus giving certain players a way to just no skill through what would be hours of playing for RP SL rewards into ten games worth of *scout* *disable* *kill* and given the speed of most aas it would turn into people rushing spawn right at the start ....lots needs to be fixed first.

Remember when this was at its lowest BR it was a MONSTER I hated this thing it was tiny it hid well in places thatyou could over look where it was and then BOOM getting hit side shot while on a cap because you didnt see this pizza wagon with a 20mm guns on its roof.

You should do a new video on the Sturer Emil, I think its highly underrated you never see anyone use it but it one shots every single thing it sees and has -15 of gun depression. Beastly in the right hands
My greatest delight back when I used to play regularly was vaporizing the R3 with the Sturer Emil!

Damn but that 20mm heats up fast. Since I started playing War Thunder during the heyday of the R3 I can’t say I’m unhappy about it reaching 6.0 even if that seems a little high.
Crazy idea if you want one, herman the german sherman along side the captured kv2 and kv1s or captured churchill if you have them in the ground sim battle, lightly marked up in their respective decal markers for a little...chaos, this also works abit in real battles as people second guess you
best idea: Give it scouting and APDS,and make it go to 7.0
7.0 I think is the break point requiring a radar or VT shells which it would have neither. you could probably push it to 6.7 though if given APDS
@@dominuslogik484 the Wiesel 1A4 is at 7.3 so there is no reason not to tie the r3 to 7.3 as well if you give it the apds round and scouting

I remember when this first released, it had scouting originally, but they removed it because it literally dominated/wiped the field with scouting to boot. Nothing could hide lol

You should try the British Falcon. It is in my opinion one of the best aa and especially shines against ground targets. Really a fun vehicle
I really want to know the logic between Leo 40/70's and R3's BR changes, the first one is very agile and has much higher pen value for its BR but the other's main 'driving' point is its speed. What man thought this was fair?
Well deserved, that thing was overall, the most OP vehicle back at 3.3, there was no reason for it to have stayed at that BR for so long.
Do you think it deserves to be overshadowed by other SPAA with the same cannon though? I feel like this thing would be fine at 5.0 or such.

The R3 T20 now that it's BR is rising should get the scouting and APDS. Now that it's not the pest it used to be. Although SPAA should get scouting IMO, gives them more battlefield utility.
And I look forward to ZSU-52-2 gameplay.... I am sure it will make for some good and hilarious footage since big guns seem to be your forte.

At the beginning of the week i was having a ball with tanks, getting 3 kills a match wich i rare for me, then it all crashed. Most matches no tank kills, but instead i made a way better AA.

Hm I see your Leopard 40/70 GF video & raise you the Albatros class Corvette F-543 & Freccia class Motoconvertibili P-493 / P-494 for the NF side of the Breda 40 mm/70 autocannon & in that mode they're for latter two deadlier with HE-VT shells (plus an odd early OTO 76 for the former & Nettuno AShM for one of the latter).
Even though the BR changed on the R3, it certainly looks like you still had fun.
