Hoping next album isn't so structured. I got tired of verse chorus verse lil bridge then chorus then chorus again. It was just too mainstream. And sorry album was a let down for me. Wasn't technical, guitar wasn't what i expected. Vocals were good. But i know y'all are better. Still one of my fav bands ever since act of depression days.
Yeah that was the most jarring change on this record compared to its three predecessors. Underoath are at their best when the songs have many twists and turns and you don't know how they'll end when you hear them for the first time. O Disambiguation had so many awesome moments due to looser structures. With this one, it was like you reach the first chorus and there's basically no surprise left, other than some bridges. It's no surprise No Frame and Sink With You are the best songs in that sense.
I agree Loneliness should’ve made the record but I’m honestly just glad it’s not hidden away and I can still listen to it. Honestly, Underoath could release more singles like it and Another Life or Sunburnt and Unsound and I would be really happy. I know the reason behind why those songs were released in the way they were but I’m always happy having new jams. Context doesn’t super matter as long as it rips
Sometimes when I’m driving with friends, Loneliness will come on and I’ll say “oh I gotta turn this up” but it’s really a set up to pretend to slam on my car horn in the first verse and it’s hilarious to me the range of reactions
Has anyone seen the artwork for an album called Underoath by Robb Lamar? It has the exact same artwork as Erase Me. Dont understand whats going on with that
Interesting. I bet someone told them about it, and they did it as some strange trolling. You’ll also notice that the Rob guys album is now deleted from Spotify
I miss the old music 😭 “it all has to start somewhere” has flashes of the old stuff which is the only song I like on the album lol But happy for these guys that they’ve came so far and have made the radio which I’m sure helps financially. I’ll always be a fan 🤘🏻
Alglacia, overseer and to speak of wolves.(bands influenced by underoath) Aglacia is a define the great line clone the other sound similar or just listen to their older stuff
Ihr habt echt einen Schatten, oder? Solche Genialitäten unter einen Hut zur bringen, bedarf oftmals Jahre. Also entspannt euch mal.
I am Advent. The second and final Advent. Do not stop. In Jesus Christs name we pray amen. We are the light and Underoath is the main conduit. Wake up or perish. There is no more time left
I don’t understand why people are so mad abt UO going in a different direction musically. First of all, they are amazing musicians and they are allowed and should make the music that they want to make. They said they wanted to do something different and they did. For people to be angry at the guys that the new music doesn’t sound like the old just is just kinda wack. Someone mentioned that UO is basically “ripping of OG fans” by making something that doesn’t sound like the old UO, but they’re not. They’re literally just making music that they want to make and that’s awesome for them
i am not a fan of how over-produced and over-mxied Erase Me sounds. Disambiguation had a lot of sludgy moments and was chaotic, heavy - but also melodic as hell, with lot of electronic. But thx to the raw production, all instruments sounds authentic. Mainly drums. Lot of guitar feedbacks... Erase Me does not have nothing like that. Also really unpredictable song writing and less song structures. Nothing generic, so much stuff going on there.
@@jackcravford8744 which is understandable. Everyone has their presences. I personally love their old songs but I also love the new ones for different reasons. I’m not saying that people should/have to like erase me. It is worth noting however that people should not be “offended” that they changed it up. Change happens and it’s ultimately up to them what they want to create. I don’t think it matters whether one likes erase me or not but I do feel that people should at least respect the art :)
@@jennhdz8425 i respect what they did, but i wish that they were more into heavy side and rawness. but you know, Disambiguation is the only record i care about from them haha. mainly cause Daniel on drums.
I’m sorry, all I heard as “We wanted to take advantage of our longtime hardcore fans by using the hype of our comeback album to completely sell out by using this record to pander fans of buttrock mainstream octane rock radio and it completely worked in our favor. Thanks for paying to come to our shows where we’ll only play one or two songs from the albums you actually do like to remind you we used to be a good band before we whored ourselves out completely to contribute to the reason for rock musics decline in modern culture. We open for Korn, Alice In Chains, and Sliponot now, we could give a shit about making music we’re passionate about and playing songs that built our fanbase in the first place.”
If Sink With You is the future of the Underoath sound, I’m happy with that future.
My favorite track on the album!
These streams are amazing! Also Tim playing the riff at the end of I gave up was so sick live on the erase me tour.
I was hoping this would be posted. Looking forward to disambiguation and beyond!
"No frame" is my song. I mean my favorite song.
Its fun to watch music people talk music. I love how they argue the count on their chorus for Hold Your Breath
There were some really cool ideas on this record. Loved the industrial vibes Chris brought to the table.
If the next record could sound like Sink With You, Loneliness and On My Teeth that would be so awesome.
bro leave out No Frame again i DARE you 🤨🤨
Love these streams with the boys
Grant answering people in the chat while others are trying to speak is driving me up the wall.

disambiguation DESTROYED this album, dont @ me
Agreed lol
james literally looks like he hasn't aged a day bruh wtf is ur skincare routine
standing completely still for 3 hours at a time.
Not talking. I relate to it.
Spencer is 37, still looks younger than he did years ago. Sobriety looks good on him
Pretty sure he drinks children's blood. I like to think that right out of frame is a tied up bloody corpse
I gave up is my favorite too Aaron!!!

top 3 uø album, sucks that it doesn't make sense to some people. the 1 is on "world" btw
The Murder Hornets is a band now
Need this for Voyeurist too
James Smith the sexiest man alive.

Saudades de ver vocês juntos ♥️

Yes!
Love this video 🔥
Yeah 🤘
Tim's plasma tv
Found a fan of "The Office." Ha ha!
this albumn is my fav
Great stuff! 😃 By the way, I think you should invite James more into the conversation, I'd like to here his thoughts too! You guys are the best ❤️😃
So why didn't Grant or James record on the record?
44:25
i'd peep the "Get Over It" documentary, it fills in a lot of gaps on the background of the record
To put it simply, logistics

no frame is so fire
James and Grant just sitting there like.....yea......we played no part in this record. Still such a jerk move to not include them.

He's talking to Twitch not to the guys

Tied with disambiguation for UO's worst album.
It has to start somewhere and no frame are the only great songs on this album
you are wrong
take out the words "the only" and we can talk

This is the best album they’ve ever released.
Way better than their old stuff.
