I had the s 22 from 25 march till today. Honestly I loveee it.the camera especially! My last phone was the Xiaomi mi A1 so this is a big upgrade for me. Battery wise I'm able to get 7 hrs screen on and after work at 8 pm my battery would be at 17%. I mostly watch youtube aroun 2hrs and the rest is me scrolling Twitter and reading on job hunting app or shoppee and Instagram here and then. so aat work I don't have to charge .But if on weekends where I'd have 4 hrs of you tube and Instagram the battery does drain faster. So I think it's no Biggie if u are at home and u can charge. But for going out and if u are using a lot of camera then u would definitely need a portable charger. But for my daily use I am very satisfied
    *Edit
Please note that I use wi-fi at work and at home which helps tremendously in saving battery. I also turn off data when there's no need to use it. Cause it's an old habit from my old phone haha but I believe it's a good habit.

chromebooks only allow google,s ecosystem. Not good for Samsung.
Microsoft allows Samsung to integrate their ecosystem into windows laptops. Good for Samsung. And a win win for both. You can integrate your Samsung phone with your Samsung windows laptop. Not so with chromebooks which is all google and no Samsung.
Samsung may stop making chromebooks and concentrate on their windows laptops and android tablets as they can integrate their ecosystem there better.
So Samsung going with Microsoft makes sense.
      Also windows is still dominant.

"Is this the phone you should buy...?" I hope so because I did. The Pixel 6 seems too buggy and the fingerprint reader is wonky. I like the smaller size of the s22 also. I can recharge during the day, so battery life isn't a big problem.

    • @kirakira9906
      @kirakira9906 2 года назад +5

      My exact thought.
If you are willing to take a risk with battery life and want a compact phone, this is the phone to go. This or the iPhone 13, but it's iOS so meh for me.
I just wish Samsung made this lime 10g heavier worth of battery.
Also, I've used this phone since the 28th of February, updated to the latest version and it's the E2200 variant... battery life isn't great but I can get up to 5h/5h30 battery life with a full charge and 5% remaining, not really a heavy user, do some random games but most of the time is Telegram, YT and Brave browser... some camera here and there but that's what I get, I notice almost no over heating and I use adaptive power saving and some more precautions in the settings, location is off and some more stuff about location and so on.
I use my phone a lot in 4G even if I could be on Wi-Fi like 80% of the time but I forget so I recently set a bixby routine to turn on my WiFi at 9am.
Anyway I can charge it mid day so I never charge it above 85% and try to never let it go below 20% or even 30 if possible, according to my math I get around 4h30/5h30 with my usage, an iPhone 13 would probably get me 7h+ of SoT which would be perfect for me to only charge it over night or maybe charge it a bit before "sleeping usage" and then overnight but it is what it is.
There's only one concern software wise, it's laggy, it's not like he said in the video. It's not always seamlessly buttery smooth, bear with me here though I'm not saying is budget laggy but it has stutters... landscape mode always has delays when opening notifications panel some people were telling me my unit was defective but I don't think that's what it is... I switched from optimised mode to high mode for processing power and turned off the "use 70% of CPU power" in power saving and I feel like that now it is indeed much better experience, I'm trying to understand what I lose with battery life.
Today I got with 2% left around 4h30 SoT (13h30 of total usage) with lighter usage than yesterday and I had got almost 5h30 SoT with optimised mode and 5% left. So yeah it's a 20% or so decrease... it's the first day so I'm gonna try a bit more.
This phone will be a GREAT experience for $700... I got 2 years of Samsung Care+ and Galaxy Buds Pro with it so kinda makes up for the extra price.

I left S10e 9 months ago, but I didnt wanna go for the S20 series as I wasnt sure. I choose S10+ as I needed a better battery life and my S10e with maps and Viber running for 8-9 hours was destroying my battery.
The S10e is by far the best phone I've used and I've used a looot of phones.
    I got the S22 3 days ago.
Some tips for you all potential buyers or confused customers of Samsung.
-Enable the battery protection (won't charge more than 85%)
-Enable Power Saving mode if you are not at home chilling. The 60hz that comes with the Power Saving mode is not so imprtant if you are at work.
-Choose 4G Instead of 5G auto connect if you are in places that 5G is not covering decently.
-Choosing a non moving wallpaper with Dark or even better black font incresed the battery life by 20% believe it or not.

Not sure if you used this phone long enough but the S22 and S22 Plus have noticeable lag issues whereas the S22 Ultra has none of those issues. I`ve been using a Samsung Galaxy S10e (from the mini-series) for 3 years. I recently cracked the screen on it, but it works perfectly fine after 3 years otherwise. I considered buying the next in line of the mini-series, and they showed me the S22 one. Just the fact that you pay so much for a camera upgrade (that I don`t use. Why would we need a better camera on our phones anyway) and the most turnoff: No jack for earphones. I just saw that in the store and just immediately said "nope. Done". I don`t pay for a camera I won`t need to be top-notch and not be able to play music on it without buying super expensive wireless earplugs that fall out every 10 minutes. I ended up ordering a new S10e. Best phone I`ve ever had, and the others are far too big. It works perfectly fine after 3 years (the battery time is down maybe 1 or 2 hours, but still lasts 1.5 days). The choice is easy really. The newer phones are upgrading the wrong things. S10e also got a memory card, and they dropped that in both s22 and s21. I find that jaw-dropping.

Ive had this phone for just a little over a week now and battery life (in my personal experience) is disappointing. I hit 3-4-hours of screen time (not constant use) of mainly social media, replying to messages and it drops to 30-40%. Granted 1 of the days I had a busy day at uni with only 1.5hours screen time and it was still at 75%. It can technically last me the whole day that I am out (say...9am to 6pm) but the battery anxiety is real. Samsung protects the screen with a super thin sheet of plastic that is almost impossible to see and that's often what gets scratched. If you detect scratches on your screen, use a fingernail to feel along the edge of the screen; you might be surprised to find the factory plastic still in place. Remove that and enjoy a brand-new, glossy screen again.

I bought the s22, down from the 13 pro max. I really enjoy the phone, I've managed to clean all of the bloatware att put on it, and I cleaned out and disabled apps I don't need ( I'm a minimalist ) I'm also a perfectionist, which has led to to find that the corner radius on this display is very choppy compared to theiPhone. Aside from that the rest of the build quality is out standing. From a software perspective, samsung has cleaned how pretty well and it feels good to use a samsung phone now.

When people play sound samples. You just want to slap some sense into them. All phones sound like the s22 I am using. Not yours . You see your speakers are there, mine are here. How did you get this old and not understand this concept works . All I hear is my own speakers. Think about that next time .
