I use my phone a lot in 4G even if I could be on Wi-Fi like 80% of the time but I forget so I recently set a bixby routine to turn on my WiFi at 9am. Anyway I can charge it mid day so I never charge it above 85% and try to never let it go below 20% or even 30 if possible, according to my math I get around 4h30/5h30 with my usage, an iPhone 13 would probably get me 7h+ of SoT which would be perfect for me to only charge it over night or maybe charge it a bit before "sleeping usage" and then overnight but it is what it is. Not sure if you used this phone long enough but the S22 and S22 Plus have noticeable lag issues whereas the S22 Ultra has none of those issues. There is serious firmware updates that have to be made. I upgraded to the ultra because of those issues. No phone with these chipsets and power should have old school Samsung TouchWiz lag.
I`ve been using a Samsung Galaxy S10e (from the mini-series) for 3 years. I recently cracked the screen on it, but it works perfectly fine after 3 years otherwise. I considered buying the next in line of the mini-series, and they showed me the S22 one. Just the fact that you pay so much for a camera upgrade (that I don`t use. Why would we need a better camera on our phones anyway) and the most turnoff: No jack for earphones. I just saw that in the store and just immediately said "nope. Done". I don`t pay for a camera I won`t need to be top-notch and not be able to play music on it without buying super expensive wireless earplugs that fall out every 10 minutes. I ended up ordering a new S10e. Best phone I`ve ever had, and the others are far too big. It works perfectly fine after 3 years (the battery time is down maybe 1 or 2 hours, but still lasts 1.5 days). The choice is easy really. The newer phones are upgrading the wrong things. S10e also got a memory card, and they dropped that in both s22 and s21. I find that jaw-dropping.

This or iPhone 13 regular? Im switching from iPhone XR, so ios is pretty much the same, maybe Samsung is good to try now. And in Europe is Exynos so is it a deal breaker?
Samsung protects the screen with a super thin sheet of plastic that is almost impossible to see and that's often what gets scratched. If you detect scratches on your screen, use a fingernail to feel along the edge of the screen; you might be surprised to find the factory plastic still in place. Remove that and enjoy a brand-new, glossy screen again.
I bought the s22, down from the 13 pro max. I really enjoy the phone, I've managed to clean all of the bloatware att put on it, and I cleaned out and disabled apps I don't need ( I'm a minimalist ) I'm also a perfectionist, which has led to to find that the corner radius on this display is very choppy compared to theiPhone. Aside from that the rest of the build quality is out standing. From a software perspective, samsung has cleaned how pretty well and it feels good to use a samsung phone now.
Unpopular opinion but I love the notch on phones, the hole punch just does not do it for me. So it's really hard for me to find a phone that I like as much as my Huawei p20 pro 😅.
When people play sound samples. You just want to slap some sense into them. All phones sound like the s22 I am using. Not yours . You see your speakers are there, mine are here. How did you get this old and not understand this concept works . All I hear is my own speakers. Think about that next time .
You should stay away from the "long term" title since this one month timeframe doesn't match. Why use an iPhone 0:57 then flip back to a Samsung? What are you doing man?
There are/were some issues where the phone lagged for a fraction of a second but this will go away with future updates. I went to test the s22's 3 times in a month and every time i went back it felt smoother than how i recalled it.

I don't know if a single slot could be used for either micro SD and SIM or if the majority of people actually uses two sim cards at the same time but if it was for me I'd pick 1 SIM + 1 micro SD card without even thinking twice
Can't Samsung roll out new update to address this battery drain issue ? Is this issue fixable ?
Should I buy s22 or iPhone 13?
S22+
S22 plus
Definitely the iPhone
S22 Plus
@@josephpepe2607 but iphone 13 got the lens flare issues.
Just bought s22+, and my instagram stories are lagging horribly to the point I can't create them. Apparently a lot of s22's have reported this issue. Anyone else having this issue here?
Yes but July update fixed it 🤔
@@MaDFroG88 was that an Instagram or SAMSUNG software update? Currently still lagging for me, but also software update downloading in the background.
@@dragonicelv both maybe not sure 🤔, I’m Exynos user. My main issue is with the battery life on my s22 which lasts 4-5 hours SoT!! Very disappointing!
@@MaDFroG88 hey, are you a heavy user?
@@gryphoncroat well I average around 6 hours SOT daily!
1:05 that for you page is straight cancer
I have the Galaxy S20 Plus. The "QHD" is achieved through subpixel shenanigans. I honestly cannot see an improvement in sharpness when I change the resolution to maximum.
You could have just disabled the dark mode to aid your review.
are you able to make Facebook messenger the default messaging app? I like having my texts and fb messages in the same app like I have on my pixel
What do you recommend Samsung galaxy ultra or iPhone I’m been switching from iOS to android so i want to ask Samsung galaxy ultra or iPhone 14 pro max or the cheaper version iPhone 11 or Samsung galaxy iPhone A53 and one more thing my husband want me to buy a rog phone 6 pro
Watching this on my s22 it's amazing
How’s the battery life been?
Yeah how's the battery
Battery is good just one charge a night can last the day fine unless your gaming for a long time which I've done that should last you until like 5 or 6
@@AverageMomBruh i had s22 12 days it took about 9 days for the battery to optimize. I can get 7hrs SOT and 19 hrs total from 100%-10%. Snapdragon model with 5g off and screen brightness adaptive on.
@@MissSmurfey that's really good! I have s22 n just got it
Does it support call recording feature built into the phone please
Would love to know how you got that aqua color when u swipped down from the top.
go to settings, wallpaper and style, and then color pallette . The colors are derived from your wallpaper so if you want a specific color pallete choose a wallpaper with those colors
Trust me I'm all for quad HD but could you imagine if this phone had quad HD display? Oh my God the battery would be terrible
Would an one really notice the quad HD display on a phone?
i thought the base model has no wifi 6? why does yours have it?
Where the ninja sound after you introduce yourself? I like that intro 😁😁😁
how can it stay with you from 7 am to 8 pm without charging, my s22 reaches 20% in 6 hours maybe
This or iPhone 13 regular? Im switching from iPhone XR, so ios is pretty much the same, maybe Samsung is good to try now. And in Europe is Exynos so is it a deal breaker?
Just wait 2 months for iPhone 14pro! S22 battery life is disappointing.
There is an easy mode in the settings, similar to what you mentioned.
When android gets a better video camera a built in video call & message like FaceTime & a better battery maybe I’ll switch ?
Awesome video Awesome phone and hello from Sénégal
S22 or S21 or the S21 FE ? i already have a A52s
Get s21 fe 256gb cause it will go upto android 16 with the s22 series
Samsung protects the screen with a super thin sheet of plastic that is almost impossible to see and that's often what gets scratched. If you detect scratches on your screen, use a fingernail to feel along the edge of the screen; you might be surprised to find the factory plastic still in place. Remove that and enjoy a brand-new, glossy screen again.
I'm not sure I would call 4 months "Long term" 😆
it's enough to give a good review on it
Great review Kevin
That's a pretty sweet gradiant you have there, can share it?
Think about that next time .
got s22 plus not holding charge had it 3 days does anyone know I'd it gets better ???
You should have elaborated the battery portion a bit more
agreed, especially since it's the main weakpoint of this phone
beautiful review thank you very much I go by s22 ❤️
The perfect replacement for my s10e and my mom's iPhone SE
Long term review not even after a month
3% of buyers on Samsung's website recommended it. And sales of the S series have been dropping 4 straight years 😑
I’m still gonna buy it
I buy the Exynos every year but this time the battery life is disappointing!
I bought it and it's awesome
Battery could be better but since it is fully charged in less than an hour i don't really care, so it's great
does this have wirless charging
This phone is beautiful. I’m convinced lol❤.
You should stay away from the "long term" title since this one month timeframe doesn't match. Why use an iPhone 0:57 then flip back to a Samsung? What are you doing man?
These reviewers calling one month "long term".........
yeah cuz in 2 years they're obsolete.
@@imapeeples4185 they not obsolete after 2 years, especially now.
When will s22 price will drop upto 30k
I just can’t handle the weight of my iPhone 13 pro any more . It’s not nice. I prefer a compact phone
Level with me, how bad is the battery? I've seen people bragging about 4hrs SOT. Frankly, that's embarrassing.
Yes battery life is disappointing/disaster 4-5 SoT on the s22!
Your review just seemed like a fanboy review. You said sweet sweet words for this phone in a very subtle way. Nice talent. 🙏
Aren't there any issues like notification bar stuttering?
There are/were some issues where the phone lagged for a fraction of a second but this will go away with future updates. I went to test the s22's 3 times in a month and every time i went back it felt smoother than how i recalled it.
I grew up in Farmington Hills Michigan
I bought this phone as preorder ... but they have a delay of 1 month ... what's the point ?
No point. You wait a month. Not long at all. Although I ordered a few days ago and it's coming today so not sure why the difference
I only bought the s22 for the discount of 400 and my pixels always overheating for no reason in summer
This whole “Review” is bias he just said the s22 has better battery life then the iPhone 13 that’s the first time I’ve ever hear that
Not that tiktok fyp 🤣
cringe when you play audio. pleasee dont?
Portland, JAMAICA in The Building !!!!!!!!!
I vote with Sony this year 😎
Charging 2 times a day. Nice phone for me.
Wallpapers ?...
Come on, camera rivals the iPhone's?!
Slowest camera ever, night mode disgraceful.
Overall, this is a 2022 phone that feels like a 2017 phone.
At least you indicated that the battery is also a disappointment.
Worst phone I had.
Yes I own s22 and battery life is disappointing…. 4-5 h SoT disaster! Can’t wait for iPhone 14pro in 2 months.

S21 battery was not any better.
3 more later it’s still not worth it, gets warm and battery lasts 4-5 hours SoT!!! Just wait 2 more months for the iphone 14pro.
Wow.. S22 batt better than ip13
Showing that this review is not reliable. Actual battery tests show iphone 13 with a15 lasts way longer.
@@ca9793 battery life is pretty much subjective depending on the individuals uses. While iPhone 13 series does have amazing battery life, maybe he uses his iPhone more than his s22 so it has less battery life.
