Hey Nick, can you please do a comparison between S22 plus and S21 Ultra. I am kinda torn between those two and don't know which one to choose and I haven't seen any comparisons on RUclips .

One of the main reason it's just full HD because of the battery life . I would have preferred ltpo screen than a sharper screen. It would have the been the best phone.
Yes because the S20 plus has more pixels it will look a little less sharp but barely and because you put it on 1080 the difference will be tiny. Go for it, you won’t be disappointed

Should i instead go for the s21 plus or s21 ultra?
If you don't mind not having the s pen, I would say go with the s22 plus, but the s22 ultra is 1440p, where as the s22 plus, is locked @ 1080p. Plus the S22plus has a better battery, I think. Ultra is 5000mah and plus is 4500mah.
I've been reading about battery and temperature issues on Reddit. Do you guys in the comments(who own one) recommend it? How's the screen? Wish it was 1440p 😕
Maybe based on pure numbers of battery life, there's not a super significant difference. But experience wise there definitely is, the s22 is barely a day long battery (if not at all depending on your usage) vs the s22+ which is confidently a day long battery (unless you play lots of heavy games (aka not something like subway surfer or clash of clans if people still play those)). Not to mention the s22+ has 45w fast charging. s22 should be fine if you aren't a power user though.
I’m in the Apple Ecosystem, but I really enjoy your reviews of other vendors. How else do we become knowledgeable? For instance, the 1080 is a big deal at $1,000.

Camera wise, it depends on what you prefer, best for you to watch some camera comparison videos for that.
Not real sure what he's talking about the screen not being sharp my friend has the plus I have the ultra and we put them side-by-side and I swear sometimes his almost looks sharper than mine with that flat display it just looks deep blacks and just it looks just like the ultra where it looks like the things are on top of the screen like the icons in the writing aren't in the screen they're on top of the screen then both of them look like that the plus and the ultra so I don't know what he's talking about it not being sharp
The S22 has far less pixels spread across a large screen which is turn lowers the Pixels per inch. Yes you can put them side by side and from a difference won't notice much and that is because samsung display makes both panels and they offer the same vivid saturated look as they use the same OLED technology. It simply comes down to more Pixel density on the ultra. By default the S22 Ultra is in the same 1080p mode so you have to manually turn it to the higher resolution in settings. I took a half point off the final score because this is simply a nitpick but I can see the difference.

I'm not getting heating issues with mine. I have snapdragon.
Reddit, the place where everything gets overblown 😂
does the display on the s22 plus look any better then the display s21 plus or are they pretty much identical?
Very similar BUT S22 is capable of using the full brightness at any time it is brighter and wider
Got 13 pro max but I am getting into Samsung world, after using couple of min s22 plus very very interesting
Nick how do you rate its battery performance vis a vis its predecessor the s21 plus??
No I looked at this phone on its own
How to do that? @0:07 look like widget on lockscreen
Samsung galaxy s22 plus new design look beautiful color love drama crying so love all year 🇰🇷📱🇰🇷✨❤️✨😍😍✨😍😘💗💑💏❤😘
Does anyone know if there is actually a significant difference in battery life between the s22 and s22 plus? Thanks
Not at all, it's plenty sharp, 120hz is much more noticeable. However, if you're in the apple ecosystem, I'd get an iPhone 13 Pro or 13 Pro max.
You videos have been super helpful. Thank you and keep it up!
Great video thanks !
Hey Nick
Should I go for this or s21 ultra(snapdragon).
I'm pretty confused between this nd s21 ultra(Snapdragon).
Go with the s21 ultra(snapdragon)

Hey nick just placed order on amazon for 799 which is about much I’d pay for this ,it was like 1000 3 months ago. By the way My huawei P30 completely died when I downloaded the new 12 operating system. I reset the phone but can’t reload the phone up .i’ve given up on this pos. Guess up upgrading somewhat on the S22 plus at this point.
Is this the best flat display android phone?
Video was a bit long but nice review 👍😎
$1k for a midrange Samsung though? I mean you can get an iPhone 13 Pro for the same price and get at least 6 years of OTA updates. Just sayin'.
You get 5 with Samsung. That's about 200 a year
And if anything goes wrong with your device just bring it to the Apple store. Samsung's answer is always a factory reset, Samsung has the worst customer service ever. I'll never buy another one. S6 edge was enough for me
@@josephpepe2607 That's what happens when the company doesn't have a local presence. At least Google has that and has collaborated with certain repair shops.
Just traded in my S10 for the S22+. While the S22+ is a nice phone I really miss my S10.
Have tried Microsoft launcher and you can change the icons to your liking.
Didn't you make a make a vid about it before
I unboxed this phone, and did a comparison, this is my review, where I cover in detail everything after using more than 2 weeks.
s22+ (Exynos) or iPhone 13 Pro ? which to buy today considering foto/video quality, battery and sound in general ?
iPhone 13 pro. I hear the exynos s22 line is having major issues. I don't know if it's just the ultra but I have been reading and seeing reviews. I would get the iPhone since apple uses the same internals no matter what

The only thing holding me back from a Samsung is that android auto is awful in every single way compared to CarPlay. Otherwise, the phone is great. 👍🏼
Google photos =problem solved on storage for me. Though Samsung I think could do better when it comes to battery. Even with the few tweaks I did;though it did help a bit; think there could be some room for improvements there.

what do you think about it so far? do you think its better than pixel 6 pro?
@@jezquintero7208 If you are talking about as a phone overall, I assure you the s22 ultra is better than the pixel 6 pro, of course, the s22 ultra is also like 300+ dollars more expensive so you gotta consider your budget.

It’s funny I can’t believe you actually responded to me you’re some what of a RUclips celebrity LOL it’s funny though what I was saying just now because I was looking at my friends and he’s here right now and I can see the difference now LOL first few times I couldn’t tell much of a difference but now I see that my ultra does look more like pop off the screen type look where it looks like they’re stickers on the screen almost where is the plus just kinda looks like a regular oled display a great oled that because it’s Samsung but it doesn’t quite have that look as much as mine does that 3-D pop off the screen effect
@@nickackermanchannel Once again though thanks for actually responding I was wondering if you guys actually read these lol
Genuine review by you.. I have a small question.. You forgot to mention about the charging speed.. Can we use 25W or 45 W charger.. Is more difference bw those?
Difference is hardly noticeable between the two due to the limitations samsung put in place to stop the battery from being harmed.
Yeah, it's literally a 3 minute difference using the 45w charger.
45w fast charging and peak brightness of 1750 nits. Same as the Ultra.
The total time from 0-100% for 25w and 45w is maybe 10min difference BUT 45w chargers the first 80% MUCH quicker. It slows down after 80% to prevent over heating hence total time is not much difference between the 2. But if your battery is low you will appreciate the 45w charger to top up faster.

6 hours of battery life! Mine doesn't even reach 4 hours, and it's only 2 weeks old...
I can't forgive Samsung for 25w "FAST" charging in nowdays. Yes this model has 45W, but charging time is just a bit better while other brands offer fully battery charge in 30 minutes.

Who could imagine this phone doesn't have an audio output. 😳 I am distraught about it!
Guys Beware! Samsung S22 heats up a lot. I have got temperatures at around 55 degrees Celsius at one point which was unbearable .Also, Just playing with camera app for 10 min the phones started heating up and dim the screen brightness! This is an issue with SDgen1 chipset for all 2022 flagship phones. Phone feels warm in hand and makes it uncomfortable to use within 5 min for normal usage. Battery doesn't last long and Screen on time disgrace for 1000 dollar phone!. Finally, I was able to return the phone back and now I looking for better alternative which seems to be difficult to get in android world cuz of disgusting Snapdragon chipset :(
Now I’m getting curious on why people are obsessed with Snapdragon for Android?
how about s22 exynos version??
@@Btmku Exynos is worse than Snapdragon. Just do a quick search on twitter/ reddit and people are complaining about GPS issues, camera bugs etc. Snapdragon has used Samsung as chip manufacture for their SD 888 gen 1 processor which is not as great as TSMC for thermal management. So most of the problem with Snapdragon will also more or less apply to Exynos. Rumors are Snapdragon will switch to TSMC for SD 888 Gen1 Plus. Lets hope that improves the heating and throttling issue in the future. Till then hold on to your older Snapdragon chipset phones 😞
@@PinkSpiderFan10 Cuz Snapdragon is the only chip manufacturer that can compete with Apple A15 chip. Samsung as chip manufacture has a long way to catchup with TSMC which manufactures Apple's chip. Sadly, Snapdragon went with Samsung to fabricate their new chip due to global chip shortage issue. Lets hope they jump back to TSMC for SD 888 Gen1 Plus chip which might get released in Q3 2022.
