Because of some odd reason some people don't actually watch the video and can pay attention.
This rates the Deviljho weapons BASED OFF THE EFFECTIVENESS AND VALUE OF THE EQUIPMENT SKILLS. IT IS NOT A WEAPON TYPE TIERLIST.
Just in case, your new or not informed in Monster Hunter. "WEAPON TYPE" is comparing weapons to each other. Its not misleading at all. You misled yourself and I even explain it in the INTRO.
I LITERALLY HIGHLIGHT THE EQUIPMENT SKILL MENTION IN THE INTRO.
Also a few notes since so many in the comments are misled:
CB only negates PHIAL DAMAGE. Everything else will still carry -30% crit.
Latent Power is rated so low because IT TAKES 36-48 second for it to proc. Unless its a drawn out battle you will likely never see LP activate.
Bow is a S Tier Weapon. BUT PEAK PERFORMANCE IS NOT S-TIER.
I personally think the charge blade should be ranked higher, because of the fact it synergises so well with the negative affinity of the jho weapon
I would rank it higher too, but it needs more than 1 level. If it gave Lv. 2 Latent It would have been perfect.
Thanks for this vid bro, I was wondering what DevilJ wep i need to put my resource on. My 1st thought to make was the LBG since I haven't committed to one LBG yet. Hesistant on Dual Blades only because Im so bad with it.
Lance having OG2 really can't be overstated. You can have a high uptime 40% damage increase for only 2 armor pieces! That's 3 flex slots after that-just insane
Right!? That plus the dual blades are absolutely insane.
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS Yeah your video made me check theorycrafting. Lance can get to OG5, Heroics 5, dragon 2 for a whopping +800 damage at 8.1, or alternatively a ridiculous 125% attack increase if you could get OG5, Heroics 4, Resentment 2 to all overlap.
Can't wait for Deviljho event.

Great videos on weapons KoC, but something I think should be taken into consideration is whether the increased drop chance from part breaking is applicable for that weapon, e.g. cutting tail of Rath's is not possible for Hammer, or breaking Wings of Legiana is near impossible for melee in general, for the extra chance of a Wyv Gem Shard.
That's a good point, but it wouldn't be fair lol.
You shouldn't be discouraged from playing your best weapon type because you want to get a certain part from a monster to drop. The rate may be 30-40% higher, but your still at the mercy of RNG.
This is why I grouped Jho weapons based off of equipment skill rather than their actual tierlist. It wouldnt be fair and there wouldnt be any point in comparing them at all.
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS I understand the sentiment, but I also think it's also another level of thought that would be very useful to many. I'm a hammer main which is why I've noticed these things, even trying to break Jho's head for the increase drop rate is near impossible as he's just too big.
Despite that, I use other weapons along with many other solo players as it adds a bit of variety and also helps dealing with the various monsters.
Instead of seeing it as discouraging players to only use one weapon, I think it's encouraging more to branch out so they don't get frustrated as its slowing their own progress on levelling up their items

About the duals...
- Does burst increase both raw and elemental dmg or only raw?
- That second best build you talk about... which armor pieces do grant +4 burst, +4 crit eye, +2wex, +2 latent power? I'm strugglying to guess the combination 😅

Appreciate it! Sadly it only boosts raw. But it still helps with elemental builds because it’s still extra damage!
I guess the armor builds are coral, deviljho, rathian, pink rathian, kulu.

Definitely not. Until something else comes out that has a Lv. 4 at Charge Lv. 3 Black Diablos bow will still be the best.
😮 charge blade does 4x more damage in axe mode than sword mode without files or charged shield... and charged shield is 4x base axe
Jho armor have skill dragon n peak performance 2 + bow with skill peak performance 2. It can be lv 4 PP skill... Wow... I think it would be great ..
If only health regeneration was active as long you don't take damage or bleed while combat would help peek performance skill
^This 100%. It needs to be a percentage boost too. Flat damage just falls off too hard late game.

The reason bow is good is because to get dragon attack 5 comes with another peak performance 2 which equals peak performance 4
Bow isn’t good at all. Peak performance is a low tier attack skill that doesn’t beat out things like burst in the post game. Your better off building the pink rathian bow.
Cant get lvl4-5 focus, New monsters tend to harass bow users more., need full health for it to be active.. No thanks , but if u can make it work more power to u bro.

If peak performance didn't work the way it did, I would have bumped it to S tier as well.
it doesn't even need any skill to be S tier, charge shot lvl 2 is the cream
Yea with lvl 3 spread for just charging once, that’s a lot of damage in a short time. It’s like rapid shotgun
Its crazy that u put bow so low, u must not be confident and get hit 99% of the time ur playing
This is tiered off their equipment skill and potential. Not weapon type. I’m a bow main with a Blos Bow at Grade 10 5/5 with a gold black diablos medal.
You must not read 99% of the time you watch content and just go straight to the comments. That’s crazy 🤣
