Always great learning from your videos no matter what you may be making. Very interesting forgeing video this week. Very nice job. Turned out very well there. Hopefully you get great use out of it my friend. Always very nice to see your very clean and very welcomeing shop. Can't wait to see what you decide to throw in the forge next and forge on. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge on. Keep making. God bless.
That had to be a real challenge! One slip on the treadle and it'd been squished flat! Looks like it'd make a good sailor's needle for sure. The real test is to use it to make a ditty bag.
beautiful, but in order to help the big hole of the needle, the sharp point should be thick enough to make a large hole on leather, like gladiators blades, thank you for the videos .
it's really funny to see a tiny and primary object realised by power hammer and gaz and backstand, tank u ! from france
Scary watching how fast that cools!
And your workshop makes my kitchen look dirty and untidy!
Love the precision! Cleanest shop ever!
Very nicely done, now to make a tiny touchmark to stamp the needle.
Your skills are SHARP.
You really have an EYE for this.
Your expertise with the power hammer is amazing.
I do lapidary. Many of the freehand skills you practice are similar. I enjoy your work and respect you.
Very nice. Way smaller than my arthritic fingers could handle. Credit to your skill and commitment.
WELL DONE 😎👍

Very good job
Well done, Sir! I did wonder how you would form the eye... Great job, as always.
👍I congratulate you on your work. Greetings from Argentina
Why spring steel? Not that I'm a blacksmith, but I would have chosen mild steel for the ductility.
That has to be the smallest slitting chisel I've ever seen made.
My smallest is just over .125".
Precision work and looks great John!
This challenge should be extended to all yt blacksmiths!
Very nice.
wonderful

And some folks wonder why pins and needles were so expensive back before mass production was a thing.
Right nice for waxed linen in leather. Thanks!
Amazing mate so enjoyable to watch. :)
Fantastic work! Why did you do it in a hospital room though? Haha, such a gorgeous shop!
👏👏
Wow!

Thanks, sounds good.
How did you get your logo on this beautifully simple item ?
Awl next?
You going to participate in the sprinkled donut forge lil tong challenge? Id love to see you churn out a pair o mini tongs on that hammer
Mini tongs are cool, maybe down the road.
Dear very interesting video 🤔 “In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a
positive impact.”😃
I think thats huge...
I wouldn't use that to sew a hole in me socks the size of that needle it would make another hole twice the size of the first hole
Well spotted. Of course, needles aren't normally made by forging (for "reasons"). For a forged needle, this is tiny.
@@paulwomack5866 How are they made ? How were needles of the eighteenth and earlier century's made?
You can do it better. Without any grinding i'm sure.
