I got chills when I first heard this at freshman orientation, and as an alumni I still get chills. I almost got teary eyed, because I felt a strong sense of pride run through my body; this is my school.
RIP DOC we were on the sideline about to “bring it on”. Ready to rattle onto the field this just made it very personal it made us have more pride and it helped us to execute harder. Hubba DOCTOR humphries. Fall 92
Man, watching this video brings back so many memories. I remember the days during homecoming that Hump would get up, collect a few millions dollars from corporate donations, and then do this chant. If he was not drunk when all this was going down, then he sure sounded like it. Despite of this, it made everyone proud to be a Rattler
Like so many, I only attended FAMU and subsequently graduated elsewhere. However my time, my friends, and Dr. Humphries leading this chant will never be forgotten!!!
When the dark clouds gather on the horizon, When the thunder and lightening pierce the skies, When fate is but a glare in the eye of a fallen Rattler and hope... a lost friend, When the sinew of the chest grows weary from those hard charging linebackers, And the muscles in the legs grow tired from those hard charging runningbacks, You must always remember... The Rattlers will STRIKE!!! STRIKE!!! AND STRIKE AGAIN!!!
Thank you so much for responding! Dr. Humphries was after my time on "The Hill" and I would've loved going to a game when he was president. Thanks again... FAMU 1976!
It will be a keen source of pleasure seeing the 100 on the field again. I was a member from 1963 - 1966 (Old School). I believe for the 100 to be successful and move forward..... Old School discipline will be the key to the 100 future success.....ex: A Saxophone should be called a Saxophone and a Clarinet should be called a Clarinet...Drum Majors should all be leaders of the band and not followers. As the Law stated in 1963......."We do not have time for any monkey shine" Hubba Doc!
@@BABYDOLLNESTLE what’s the purpose of coming on a Famu video to talk shit damn y’all Florida folks never learn and y’all wonder why y’all in debt 😂😂😂😂
