this was actually super handy for me trying to transition to ableton from FL, shows how you would do a lot of the strategies I've already learnt just in a different way, super helpful
Well he sort of goes over it in this video, right? Also, Reddit has the old VR Phat Rack for Ableton. You can download this rack as well as a few others that have been meticulously recreated. Hope this helps.
not a necessary plugin though. you can do amazing things just by resampling your own sounds made from a synth (for example, serum) or using other sounds from tracks/sample packs. But if you learn Manipulator well, I guess that can pay off in the form of better tunes, it's all just how much work u put in. :D
@@AlexCarter881 true that man my whole four years iv mostly just ended up using the stock shit anyway. Only ever really used fm8, massive and serum. There's some random free plugins I would try and mess with but nothing great. I really wanna mess with melodyne though. I think I heard verse mention he slaps that shit on basslines and effects lol
@@kranx2690 I'd check out Upsound's streams. They've got streams from Wooli, Kompany, and others. They've been great as far as inspiration and a bit of insight into how others produce bass music. I'm always trying to find that fine line between crazy bullshit FX that don't do much and not enough FX so the sounds are thin and weak. I think it takes a lot of practice, knowledge, experimentation, and referencing. :)

is this a reference to nghtmres live demo? XD
If you go and study music production like virtual riot then you wouldn't feel like that. Kinda unfair to compare yourself
Did anyone notice at 1:25:53 the dropbox popup?!!! VR x Skrillex COLLAB????
OH SHIT
oO
I think this got explained a while ago on his twitter, its just a dropbox for samples or something not a track or anything.

what song is that 27:26?
It's probably something he hasn't released. However, there are some vocals from his song titled Never Let Me Go.
Now my question is how is he speaking into a mic and running music through speakers at the same time...
Robin Opletal just OBS, really. I don't think he talks much when music is playing. would have to not be using speakers for that to work.
@@AlexCarter881 I guess he also might be ducking mic output when desktop audio is playing, didnt check that far tho
@@OpletalRobin I don't think he's using that program anymore. He did in other streams, but I think it's just straight OBS in this.

does someone know about an alternative to frequensy shifter, like a vst?
i don't know. it's just a great built-in ableton plugin.
uhbik from u-he
Manipulator licenced to Casatrance looooooooooooooooooooooool
unreal..
Where's this track at?
what track?
Where to get those Markiplier vocals?
I think you'll just have to watch his videos and record the vocals yourself.
@@AlexCarter881 how you record that and then convert them to a WAV file? 'cause those Markiplier vocals are in WAV
@@kaleidoscope40 Not 100% sure, but VB Cable might be something you can look in to.

7/13/18? How 13?!?
he means 13 from august
Did he make anything with that at 1:02:50??
i guess not yet. dunno
what shortcut did he use to edit the note lengths at 1:24:30 ???
looks like "CTRL+A" to select all. Then used the left arrow key to make them smaller, then the right arrow key to make them larger.
@@AlexCarter881 you need to hold shift when adjusting note length. If you just hit the arrows, the notes will all move in that direction
