Kirkham does a great job building the aluminum bodies for Shelby.

Weight savings over an aftermarket cast iron block is about 125 lbs. Love the fact that Mark doesn't constantly flip his cars but loves them enough to hold.

It’s amazing to hear your opening thoughts, I gave up flying because I could not dedicate enough time to maintain a safe level of proficiency. I went through the same thought process that I wanted that same analog feeling of having to manage the machine that would emulate what’s required to fly. A cobra definitely scratches that itch.

The fastest 427 I've ever seen was all red at Laguna. It ate GT-40's for lunch. I believe that owner is now gone, but boy could he drive!!

Unfortunately Jim Farley decided to restore that car to it's original street configuration. It was very well prepared when it was red. I saw that car driven hard on more than one occasion and the driver (name I forget but not his beautiful wife!) was very good.

Great video, I'm just surprised it wasn't mentioned if it were a CSX4000 continuation series, etc. That's usually the first thing I'd like to know. Drive hard!

He said it twice, near the beginning and gave the CSX# 4155 around 11 minutes and again near the end.

Is it a really secret that Shelby would sign anything? That's the worse kept secret there is. I think the ones that aren't signed by him are more rare at this point. Beautiful car in a great color.

Looks like a Cobra but not the real deal wasn't built in Thames Ditton .

CSX are the real deal; obviously times have changed and the body is no longer manufactured in England, doesn't mean these are like cheaper replicas. On the other hand, it's also up to a CSX Cobra owner to keep it as true to the original as possible. Some modifications can throw a CSX Cobra in the replicas category, although most YT footage of CSX I see are kept genuine rather quite well.
