The idea of having a home base, and then traveling is a great idea! Someplace that you know you can come back to after your travels, kick off your shoes..recharge… is so comforting imo !❤
As usual…great content and advise. Full time travel is not for everyone. I am a 65 year old disabled female and a full time traveler so if travel is something you desire to do, then do it.
I feel where you're both coming from. I've been solo traveling practically ALL of 2023. And although it's very exciting and enriching, it's not all fun and games. But for creating rich experiences and personal growth - there's nothing like it. So I encourage everyone to do it while you still can! Happy Holidays to All!🎊
Golden nuggets for those of us who are planning our move abroad. Understanding real-world truths about what to expect of ourselves is key.....Happy Holidays!!!
My sister had my nephew when I was in Puerto Rico and when I went back 5 years later (I stayed in a different Airbnb but in the same building), she had my other nephew!
Rondell thank you for the message at the end. it really spoke to me. I have a strong desire to travel a lot in my 30's (I turn 30 next year), so I'm working towards it. I'm in the process of learning to cook a lot of healthy food so that when I'm traveling I can cook for myself whenever I want because I get tired of food that isn't homemade after a while lol. Thank you again!
Yes yes YES. The past year, I did the homebase thing mixed with travel. I've travelled every month of the year with the exception of June, July, and August (because summertime prices on flights and accomodations are stank-a-lank, so I used those months to just chill at home. In 2024, as soon as I can get a viable remote income stream going, I'm gonna try the full-time travel route.
my advice for doing business in a different timezone than the one I live in is very simple: I automated my business. I scheduled a video for every week 6-12 months ahead of time and made everything else in my business (like replying to messages) not be dependent on a timezone/timeframe. I also really recommend doing the same with investing and saving: automate, automate, automate. ❤ I hope this helps you! xo
I am completely onboard with automation! We have a project in the works that relies heavily on it and we are struggling putting it together....thanks for the encouragement!
@@TheYarbros I believe in you! so happy to hear you're working on it❤ keep going and don't give up! it gets really hard sometimes but once you get all the skills to automate, it'll make your life sooo much easier ❤
I have consumed almost all of your Brazillian content; thank you so much for doing what you do! I will buy you a coffee! I want to keep the USA as my base, but I definitely want Brazil as my 2nd home! It will happen, axe!!
As a creature of habit, and a confessed homebody, Apryl dropped the golden nugget for me: "You can have spaghetti every night, just have it in different countries". BOOM! 🤣🤣. I want comfort and stability, just in another country; not nomadic, just want a home somewhere else.. That work/time zone thing would be a total bummer; it's a reason I might have to walk away from my business. Gotta make sure my retirement ducks are in a row. The hair is looking SO fabulous lady!
Thank you! You know what I’m saying 😂 you can build stability into a life abroad. But the time zone thing is something we haven’t balanced yet but I understand making sure things are in order!
LOL the way Rondell is roasting the list is honestly hilarious "then you should've never came out the house" LOOOOOOOOOOL BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... I'm just like you where there are times I want to go into my shell and be a hermit so I get you HAHAHAHAHA
I have been traveling globally with my kids on and off for 18 years. we slow travel so we get a rental in the new country and travel around from that. We usually stay 6 months or more in a place. It feels better and gives a balance of nomadic but stable
Terrific topic!! I appreciate your sharing your extensive experience both of you are treasure of knowledge and love your informative videos… you hit the nail in the head with this video and more like it for us who are still trying to figure out the adventure of traveling and inner questions as well!!! I thank you for for this video… Happy holidays I’ll follow you guys on your journey and thanks for opening my mind, good luck and always best wishes!!!
So good! We’ve wondered about a few of these things while dreaming of moving abroad 💗. And LOVE the camera gadget 👌🏾✨. Love y’all! Merry Christmas 🙏🏾❤️💚
Hey, I liked the good-cop bad-cop breakdown of life on the road! I would love to travel, and have a spot of my own or two to come back to when I need a rest. I don’t know if you’re familiar with The Nomad Capitalist, but he gets passports for a few places, gets property in them, then AirBnb’s them when he travels, but still has his own spot in those countries. I feel Apryl on the photos too, I am ADHD so you need to refresh my memory! 😆😂😭😭
You got it 👍🏾! Yes we're very familiar w/ Nomad Capitalist and that is very similar to the goals we are working towards. We appreciate you! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas🎄. Good food for thought. Seems exhausting sometimes. No offense to either Apryl or Rondel, but probably a little “less weird” for a man I think. Most are just a little more nomadic by nature, IMHO. Maybe it gets easier for us as we age, and spend much of our lives in a domestic role, itching for travel - like me. For women, our cycles make it more challenging. Speaking for myself, once that’s over, I think we’re ready for adventure, before we get too old! 😊
Maybe a compromise for Apryl could be a year or two in an RV or campervan? I think for women (particularly introverted/quiet ones) it gets hard not to have our own space. Rondel, perhaps, sees Apryl as his “home base.” My husband is like that - always out in nature. You two are such a blessing to each other - and us. ❤
I can relate so much. I tried to do this as a full time single mama and i bit off way more than i could chew. Even when i wasnt a mama it was a lot to balance
That’s an honest one. Thank you for your comment. One year, we found a group of digital nomads hosting a get together. Luckily we vibed with most ppl there and it was one of our most memorable Christmas’ abroad. We hope you have a good one
There is an obvious age difference between you. Mr. Yarbros keep in mind what you desired at that age. Child birth, sitting at the feet of the elders in your life, holiday meals. These thing gave you the strength to be who you are today. Empathy is the best lesson learned from traveling.
I totally agree that no one cares about what you do, except maybe God. The best thing anyone can do is make as much impact as they can today. If I am lucky maybe a few people will be positively impacted by my existence and that is all I can realistically ask. In the beginning I was posting videos for my family, guess what, they never watched them. Now I just make videos because I like doing them. Some videos have done well, but most have not. It's OK, even if RUclips goes away I have my own website, I would just post videos there.
Hey guys, I have followed you for years. But, you are at the West Side Market in my home of Cleveland? I am about 99 percent that you are at the west side market.
You don't have to travel full time. What you both do is intentional, maybe for the purpose of making profitable videos. That is fine, no problem. You make great content by the way. I guess there are always trade-offs.
I just imagine how it would go if I make videos using "my experience as a Caucasian heterosexual man" in the titles. Or "experience as a blond hair blue eyed part neanderthal"
Go for it as long as it's true. The point is...this is our perspective. We are making this content for a group of under represented people...especially in this space. Feel however you like but our perspective has a different "tint" to it lol. You using the title you suggest is already implied.
i occasionally watch your content because i like to see what black people are doing on youtube. i find the husband obnoxious, but that doesn’t prevent me from watching. as a woman whose children and husband mean the world to me, i could never live this nomadic lifestyle because i believe that children need stability in order to feel secure. it seems like an older person’s game. i realize that having children isn’t everyone’s priority though. having a ‘home base’ is in a woman’s nature.
