I needed this video!!!! I currently use the bn20 and its good but i need an alternative because its slow and I've been looking at the Primera to help with print jobs. We need labels for our Mylar bags I hope the primera works for that.
i think its perfect for that, easy setup and run labels. bn20 good for sign quality vinyl decals for sure,. but for labels the custom shapes and printing are quick to get knock your labels out especially for short runs./ thanks for watching and please like and subscribe!
How many labels can you print before change the cartridge ? I know is depending the label size and how solid is the print but if you label is about 50x 50mm.
i wish i had a real answer, i seem to think they lasted awhile but as you said matters with coverage. to put in perspective on my bn20 you buy 5 inks, each roughly $75 each. so with lx610 u have 1 ink and i imagine to buy 5 total thinking you will get a lot of usage, wish i had a real answer but i used mine fo my own product hand outs so i never kept track.
Does the coating on glossy BOPP or vinyl gets sticky when damp or slightly wet? I made labels on home inkjet vinyl before and they are extremely unpleasant to the touch. I take a bottle with a sweaty hand and my hand sticks to the label. Looking to get eco-solvent bn-20a just for this very reason but hope there is a better coating for dye inkjets.
It's not terrible tho because you get 2 rolls which is somewhere around 300ft for $120 so that's not bad but u can run other media but u would swap the chip which wouldn't make sense. Amd thats only for the diecut media,, for pre die cut die media u can use any manufacture.. but the prints are pretty nice for being CMY only. But like I said ita great for adding it in your arsenal.
they actually do have a lamination kit for this machine now. Ive run a few labels on this here and there, its pretty good, ok print quality but based on how I seen it operate, Im not very confident it could run even medium size jobs. Im still unsure on whether it would be able to handle a couple hundred print/cut labels. The ink cartridge seems pretty small and the cutter isnt the fastest or smoothest. I get nervous that its going to jam or break or something with all the noise it makes. Whats the largest job anybody has run on this machine?
Which spray laminate do you recommend? Also, do you know how this compares with the Uninet iColor 250? They look like the same machine, so I was wondering if they are using the same hardware and just replaced the firmware and software like they did with the Oki white toner printers.
HI, with the spray lam, i think someone mentioned the frog juice type of spray lam that didnt do great in a test. it was on our facebook group. the icolor 250 is basically a rebadged machine. it came later. it happens a lot with Chinese manufacturers, as far as firmware and software i cant confirm anything, but does look like both software is based off sur cuts alot. but ye they did the same thing with oki white printer i remember. uninet raised the prices a lot on the machine and the consumables as well. kinds crappy,
@@DaPrintHouse Yes i got one now im just trying to figure out everything. i keep printing things but it wont cut them. i bought the pro program but im still figuring it out. do you use the pro program for design or you use another program and just import and print?
@@royalgold4477 i use it fo dawing contour as well but whatever line you dedicate to "CUT" you go to the right menu and click on the wrench icon in there select the drop down while that cutline is selected and select "cut only" have you done that for your cut lines?
I have this printer and I've set it up and i sometimes get an 'edge scan error' - I heard you had some issues with your printer to begin and was wondered if it was anything along these lines or if you have encountered this before?
Hi, i have a bn20, epson p400 and vinyl cutter. Im considering this for cheaper labels/applications. What do you recomend for roll labels? I want to start making these.
