Thank you for opening up about your experience. I don't think you know the depth of how many people you've educated, and informed with real life information about abortions or what to expect. I'm sorry you weren't informed, and me myself wouldn't have known anything if I didn't Google and search RUclips and find you. I don't know what I would have done if not finding you on here first before anything. I hope you are in a better place now, and feel better about your experience and experiences. Thank you so much for opening up and sharing this experience. This is a perfect example of how abortion clinics don’t always tell women everything - I am starting to believe they do that on purpose so women don’t get scared and change their mind about having the abortion. That would be bad for business. I can’t imagine how traumatizing this was for you. Your truth will help others. Thank you for being brave and sharing your story.

I’ve just taken the pill. I was not told any of this... and I’m in so much pain I decided to look up other women talking about it because I am completely alone through this and I needed to hear from someone. Thank you so much for sharing, I am terrified. I am about to have to take the second set of pills and I’ve already been bleeding and cramping since I’ve woken up this morning. They told me “cramps”, this is not that. No one knows about this but me, but I might have to be forced to tell my sister in case I need to go to the doctor because I’m freaking out.

The reality is woman aren’t being educated on the truth of abortion.
Before going to the abortion clinic, I convinced myself abortion was something that needed to be done. After about 5 mins talking to the on-site counsellor, she told me, I couldn’t give a child the life it deserved (mind you I didn’t say much to her other than reacting closed off). In that moment I hardened my heart completely, as she would have been the last person to give me hope and encouragement to say, “you can do this”, “you can keep the baby”, “there are other options”, “it’ll be hard, but it’s possible to be a good mom”.
I truly was convinced (at 20) I knew what I was doing, even though I did consciously feel it was selfish/wrong. I didn’t like the baby’s dad, I was afraid of what my dad would think, I wasn’t financially stable (some reasons I used to make my decision).
I know now, life itself would have been the best thing I could have gave my baby as it was already alive, simply just forming.
We are faced with trauma not because we’ve seen our baby’s but because we were faced with the reality of abortion. What I learned is justifying an abortion seems helpful (for some) but in the end, only continues the downward spiral of trauma as this encourages other to believe abortion won’t affect them. No matter what, the internal loss is still there. It wouldn’t be there if we empowered women to be moms and connected them to pregnancy resource centres, to help navigate another path, before an irreversible decision. Or to open up to someone that would support you through a pregnancy, even if you didn’t want that support. We have too many people in society willing to support abortion, which continues this ugly cycle. Get another opinion.
Its been 9 years since having an abortion which means I’d have a 9 year old. That psychologically messes with you, apart from soo many other things they don’t tell you about abortion.
I’d do anything to have my little one back.

The man I had a child with was emotionally abusive He even told me he didn’t want children with me and he hate I got pregnant and he hoped I had a hard pregnancy because he was not going to be around. My life is a wreck I was not in no position to take care of my child on my own. I got my abortion on Nov 19th and I’m having a hard time coping just seeing my baby lifeless is eating me up inside. I can’t get it out of my mind. I’m experiencing anxiety depression and a lot of sleepless nights. Even though I know having child would have been a hard. Nakima : living is about taking decisions , some of them are more difficult than others. You took a decision about this and you need to keep going. We shouldn't be influenced by other people, religion and society when we deal with this. You need to understand that is your life journey and your experience and nobody has the right to tell you how to feel about this. There are a lot of people in this world that think they are God because they easily judge and condemned people. Empowering yourself be kind to yourself and if you really want to be a mother you will be when you feel ready. Sending strength and positive energy.

Thank you for sharing this, Megan.
    To the girls reading this:
You won't be told what happens in an abortion because they don't want you to know.
They don't want you to know what Megan saw: her fully-formed little baby.
They don't want you to know that the pain you will experience lasts longer than the average birth.
They don't want you to back out of it because that means you aren't giving them all that money.
If you find yourself pregnant, and unable to raise a child, please look for any other way to choose life. Your little baby boy or girl will get the chance to live, and you will not go through this traumatic, painful, heartbreaking experience.
Don't do it to yourself, or your baby. 💜

@@user-pz9po8nl4l Hi, friend. Had you actually read my comment, you would see that I didn't say anything about a woman having to raise a "whole ass child" or anything about expenses, mostly because pro lifers like myself recognize that not everyone is in the position to be a good parent and that not every parent deserves a child. This, however, is not resolved by murdering the child. This is solved through community, love, and care. (Things pregnancy crisis/care centers specialize in.) Adoption is real and there are twice as many parents waiting on the adoption list as there are babies killed in abortion so there is no argument to say they are "unwanted." I realize you do not value the life of unborn babies but someday you'll grasp the fact that abortion is and always will be a matter of life and death for both the child and the mother. Perhaps you should start by watching this video with a woman's honest experience in abortion. It's traumatizing and horrific, but you advocate for it, so you must come to understand what it is you're fighting for. God bless.

Except my doctor was very nice and absolutely excellent and I also took 2 pills and took 4 more under the tongue at home the next day and then 2 antibiotics and then had pain pills when I needed them. The vaginal pills that you took take effect a lot faster. They should have told you to go straight home and get comfortable. They told me to plan on staying home all day

You're such a strong and gorgeous woman. I'm sorry about your abortion.. I had a very similar experience with my own but not as traumatic as yours. In a 3-4 months, I'll be 17 though and even though I was very sad about having to go through it.. I don't have the money or.. anything to support having a baby. Not even the best to offer it. If I'm going to have kids, I want to be old enough and be able to support it... Though this was me and I'm the one who got my self into this So I'm the one who has to make an decision, but I would rather my self to suffer then my kid... So having an medicial abortion was my best option... i can relate to alot of this, but I never saw my baby... Though I did see the large clots from my baby... And I had alot of painful cramps. It was very awful and painfully. My own experience has been bad enough and I'm still working through it, though I couldn't image how that was for you. Keep going and things will eventually get better. I promise. I'm so glad that I found this! I'm so glad that you had the guts to put this out here on RUclips. I hope life gives you much love and happiness since this experience. Good luck on everything. Much love and support coming to you!

Hello, I am currently going through a medical abortion right now. I completely agree with everything you said about how poorly the nhs informs you. I luckily found out I'm pregnant before my missed period, my gp said its only some cells at the moment so it would be easier, I thought I could get the termination ASAP. I was wrong. The nhs only do abortions from 6 weeks, so they can see the pregnancy on a scan and to rule out ectopic pregnancy (which only has a risk of 0.04% anyway so I have heard). At 6 weeks a baby has a heartbeat and other things that makes it more human like, which is sooo hard. I decided to go privately as some clinics do it before this so I have done it straight away. It's such a hard thing to do but you have to do what is best for you and for the child. I just can't believe it's 2020 and you can't get an immediate abortion. I don't know if I could have done it if I was further along. You are so strong ❤️

But here I am again not in an ideal situation and I have backed out twice and even saw the heartbeat and now I'm terrified of seeing it because I am further along. I was shocked that the nurse as sweet as she was didn't know exactly what the first pill did I had to tell her through my own research. She knew it stopped pregnancy but not that it does by blocking progesterone. Also research what's in them everyone has a right to know what's in them I didn't know testosterone and cortisol was in it. Anyway I agree they should give more info and I hope you're doing okay. @@adeshugaabiodun4468 seriously? I call make a call for saying it's wrong to flush a baby down the toilet and you defend the person doing the flushing? And you're calling ME the worst person in the world? That's a stretch. Perhaps you should reconsider the gravity of this situation.
SHE chose to have sex KNOWING that pregnancy is a potential result. Because, you know, that's how babies are made. I'm sure she couldn't have been too shocked.
And then once she decides to go through with ending the life of said vulnerable and innocent human baby, she flushes it down the toilet.
You're damn right I'm going to judge her. She CHOSE this. The baby is the real victim here. It's future was snuffed out because it was inconvenient for poor mommy to go through with having it.

@@Ryan-rh8rn i’ve been on birth control for the past 4 years and i still managed to get pregnant. 8 weeks today and the only reason i found out is because of the violent nausea,HG. unplanned/unwanted pregnancies are not a CHOICE. judging others that you know nothing about? that’s a choice. so judge if you will but please, don’t be dense.
