Never base your dislike of someone of someone else's list. Especially some mainstream music list.
Limp Bizkit is a legit band despite all the hate they've received
Damn right they are, such a great band.
I love how Limp Bizkit took this song and made it a Limp Bizkit song. Amazing cover.
exaclty... its not rly a cover its a limp bizkit song and thats so pretty cool. korn did that too but korn is like more compatible to metallica than limp bizkit because their music is so different but they did exceptional good!
Love the unapologetically 'Limp Bizkit' approach they took to this. Yeah, they're not Metallica but they didn't need to be. They did great.
The DJ is DJ Lethal who was the DJ in the Irish American hip hop group House of Pain
I think of all the Metallica covers performed on that special, this one was the best. Whether you like Limp Bizkit's style of music is a matter of taste, but I think they did a great job adapting the song to their particular style while honoring the original.
We don't talk about Snoop Dogg's cover.
@@joevk6274 😂😂😂😂
Legit cover with the LB twist
Fred Durst gets a bad rap for a couple of years of music biz in the early 2000s , Limp Bizkit are actually pretty good.
This! Love LB. Also, Fred has grown up to be a pretty sweet, intelligent guy, it would seem.
i don't get why metalheads always trash talk bands like limp bizkit, korn and late 90's music in general. they brought the funk to metal, and are a huge influence to the modern metal scene.
When he said "I hope it's not DJ like scratching" i'm like "oooofh, oh boy".
RIGHT?!?
So much sharp fuk yea
Limp Bizkit has one of the best rhythm sections in rock music. Sam Rivers is a great bassist and John Otto is an incredibly gifted drummer
Huge Metallica fan, and this is the best Metallica cover i have heard.
The breaks from limp Bizkit, is something from dirty south hip hop.. it's in the derivative of chopped and screwed. It's to mimic the dj scratching as a breakdown.
I watched the Icon show. Best performance of the night, and that includes Metallica (NOT a fan of St. Anger). Although Sum 41 did good too. But Fred and the boys brought an energy that nobody else did, and got everyone pumped.
Linkin Park - Givin' up, Chester Bennington's 18 second scream is amazing. R.I.P. Chester.
Any and all Linkin Park please.
They are heavy underrated as composers and musicians! Limp Bizkit was my last Live Concert before Covid... it was Open Air in Bonn/Germany... Damn good live performers, it was a very, very, very dusty party in the sommer of 2018...
They are super strong live! I also think that they are misunderstood a lot. For example there are parodies of the Rollin music video when that one was already a parody of hip hop videos at this time.
Best Metallica cover ever.
I really think this is the best metallica cover yet! If you are looking for a good Limp Bizket song, Eat you alive. I'm bias I've liked Limp Bizket from the beginning but that song is a good one of theirs too
This was always cool to me because it was the first time I heard Fred scream like that in a long time.
React to “Re-arranged” and you will see every preconceived notion you mentioned here be challenged. I also think the “hate” was manufactured against LB and FD because you won’t find much of it today... in fact LB has enjoyed a renaissance on RUclips if you look at comment sections.
Love this cover and whole concert
Not a cover, their own interpretation of this song. I don't like, when everybody says it is "only a cover".
saw them tour with metallica shortly after this. they did this song. it was just as good live!
It’s unfortunate that this was done while Wes Borland was out doing his own thing. I feel like he would have brought this performance up a couple notches, but I can’t fault the new guy (Mike Smith was it?), he did alright. Definitely check out Korn’s performance of One from the same show.
Did alright.wes wasn't in Mike's leauge live he blew him away with his live sound
@@neilberry1552I agree, his playing style is just way better live especially with his hardcore headbanging and hitting pretty much every note perfectly.
This was the best cover. I watched this live back in the day as a teenager. You should give some more of their songs a chance. He’s not just a showman or a rapper. He can actually sing. He did a good Behind Blue Eyes cover. He has a good voice.
And they went on to tour with Metallica. I saw them on the Summer Sanitarium tour in 2003 (Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, and Deftones) at Texas Stadium when it was still standing. It was an AMAZING performance. I also walked away a Linkin Park fan that day as well, the entire show was killer. Good times. 🤘
We give Limp Bizkit all kinds of shit but nobody can say they didn't destroy this cover.
Avril Lavigne also played "Fuel" in this and if i remember correctly their drummer killed it.
He did, though I wasn't a big fan of Avril's vocals on that cover.
Agreed. Her drummer NAILED it. Avril and the rest...meh. Guitarist missed several notes.
To be fair, it’s Lars Ulrich, any decently skilled drummer can crush his stuff
Regardless if your fan of them or not, this was easily the best Metallica cover of the night, Limp Bizkit put their own take on this song whilst staying true to the original. Top class stuff.
An MTV tribute concert for Metallica and they f*ing nailed it compared to the others.
I hate covers that are just trying to sound exactly the same, I love the one Limp Bizkit did here, while you can still hear the original influence in most parts they put their style on it in a way where if you showed someone this witohut telling him its a cover he would probably believe you if you told him its a original and not a cover. Fits their style in my opinion perfectly the way they did it.
This is THE example of what a cover song should be... took the song and made it a Limp Bizkit song 100%
If you haven’t listened to the song Here to Stay by KoЯn, you have to go check that one out!!!
Bizkit and Korn was awesome covering Met songs
Limp Bizkit has great songs especially the non-single one's from their albums Significant Other and Hot Dog Flavored Water. None of their music is "cartoonish"
none of their music is cartoonish? dude you just commented on "rollin"
@@OldSkuleNerd Its not a good song and its corny but cartoonish I dont see it
Do Limp Bizkit-Counterfeit,Break Stuff, and System of a Down is of Armenian descent but they are from the US
The day you do a bunch of Static-X, will make a random on the internet very, very happy. So incredibly under-rated as far as a band is concerned but man, they have a cavalcade of bangers
Excellent reaction. Yes this is a surprisingly good cover! Will check out more of you reactions especially to System of a Down.
Definitely check out Korn doing One. A-mazing
Wonderful reaction sir. I found you through your reactions to Liliac. This is my favorite cover from the icon show. The one I couldn’t connect with was Snoop Dog’s cover of Sad But True. It’s very unique. I’m curious of what your reaction to that one would be.
Yeah... prejudices shinin thru here loud and clear
They killed it, and they made it sound like one of their songs too
Man I saw this so long ago and love this rendition. Sum 41 covers were good also to start off the show. Alter Bridge live cover of Kashmir, I thought was pretty good.
What was really cool about this cover.. They made it their own.. When they did this.. Limp Bizkit and Korn were the top of the metal world.. The "Metallica" of that time. Isn't that what music is..a snapshot of a generation?
Fred Durst gets a pretty bad rep as a person. From what I heard he is actually pretty cool dude. Guess people just portray the cartoony character he has on stage as his real life persona. Guess it all started after Woodstock 99 when people were trying to scapegoat Limp Bizkit for causing the mayhem, even though it was all BS accusations. Hell, even Aaron Lewis stopped a show and defended Durst as being a good dude when somebody yelled "Fuck Fred" in one of his shows, and Aaron Lewis hates Limp Bizkit, except for Durst.
That's it!
Check "Endless Slaughter" or "The Truth" or "Lightz"
What I like about limp bizkit : John Otto & Wes Borland.. masters
Check out Shinedown covering simple man. In the basement house party. So good! Keep up the great work. 🍻
Yes, This cover is holy crap good.
My Fav Limp Bizket song "Break Stuff", if I'm really pissed off it helps no end.
Here is 2 more you would have missed.
Static X - Push it
Coal Chamber - LoCo
It's funny that you mention Coal Chamber. They 'Discovered' Static-X and their existence as a band with 5 albums is thanks to Dez
limp bizkit - Take a look around
SOAD is from the states, not Armenia. They are of Armenian descent though
Best cover of the night and imo definitely better than the original. Love limp bizkit my all time favourite band
They don't need to play it the same as Metallica..
Holy fucking sh1t you dont know SOAD ?! You have really missed so much , soad limp bizkit etc . Keep reaction to Limp Bizkit they fucking awesome. And plz just start already SOAD , you missing a world
Fred Durst got a bad rep because he came to fame in that whole sleazy MTV era, he was young guy and became massively famous. So was an A hole lol. He seems a good dude these days, still touring with The Bizkit! As for this cover, epic, they put their own Limp Bizkit spin on it. Btw I love Limp Bizkit lol.
You need to listen to Chevelle, Godsmack, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, and Evanescence
КРАСАВА !
@ 15:38 made this whole video worth it, I mean I love this cover but DAMN!!!!
St. Anitarium
Re-arrange by limp bizkit is one u should check out.
12 Stones - Build Your Cages.
I lived off that album in high school when Sam Goody was still a store in our mall.
There was a Sum 41 music video that featured Kerry King of Slayer(who did a face melting solo in it). I thought it was cool. A bunch of kids showing their respect to the old metal heads(like me). I think it's called What we're all about.
Spider-man (2002)
thats how you do a cover
DJ Lethal took them to the Matthews Bridge 🤙
Fred used to be a huge ass. He has changed a lot. They killed this tribute. They made it their own it’s really not a cover it’s a Tribute. There is a difference.
Subbed - first video I’ve seen if yours. Peace from England
THE TRUTH. Do that. Or The Channel or The Priest or The Propaganda off of the same album “The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1). I’ve only see one reaction to The Truth and that was from a channel called Deep Cut Reactions.
They put their own twist on it if not it would be straight copy and Metallica and I mean I ain't what it's about they're supposed to put their own twist on
The boys from Metallica loved it suck it
Limp Biskit had ONE album. Three dollars bill y'all. Period.
I met Fred he’s a cool down to earth dude
Come on man you look like 40 years old dad metal fans, and you say this is the first time? Bro i can tell you're a good person since you don't know how to lie😂
Fred isn't a showman, he's an actually a vocalist. 👎 Actually listen to his other songs. Sorry.. Disagree.
I miss the old o.g. LB and raging on Mortal Combat. Bring me back to the SNES dayz. Behind blue eyes by Limp is another great cover if not better than the original.
В самом начале видео прикольный риф, как найти ?
Limp Bizkit has some good hitters and stingers here and there yeah they are not talentless it would be nice if Fred on more tracks only did singing, screaming, growling, yelling, and shouting rather then rapping
Hey man, nice reaction video. You should listen to something different. The music I propose to you is born from the old Misfits, Ramones, The Damned, Joy Division, The Clash and many stuff like this. Today called Horrorpunk and there are so many great bands in this scene. For example listen to The Crimson Ghosts - don't follow or nearly free or Unleashed, The Other - We're all dead or a party at Crystal lake, Nim Vind, Blitzkid, Bloodsucking Zombies from outer space, Calabrese.... and so on. Cool music, trust me. 🤘🖤☠️
Greetz from Germany, Corvus
Moi je trouve ça très très bon j adore..
cost the life of limp Bizkit this tour
Some parts I liked other i didnt really care for mainly fred lol.
First time cool video. Please listen to Limp Bizkits 3 Dollar Bill Y’all. It’s there first album and it’s amazing. Their other stuff is made for radio. Please check it out.
Papa Roach, P.O.D., Ice Nine Kills!!!
Hate Creed ? but alter bridge in? lol
Uh...that kinda sucks. I think they kill the song.
I much preferred the Korn cover of One. I think they did a way better job.
Don't think so
Na, bizkit stole the show that night.
They left out half of the solos, what are you talking about?! KORN's cover was disappointing and I'm a huge fan of both! They could have done way better than what they did. It is a real shame performing in front of Metallica.
Better than Metallicas version. Doesn't take much, Metallica fuckin suck 🤣😂
Rollin is easily their worst song
@Maverick Malone Its not the worst song its just kinda corny. Its a good intro song to people who dont like "heavier" music but not a good intro song if you're into "heavier" music.
Ya not for me this version, not heavy at all.
Horrible.
@Maverick Malone they dont have a choice but say its good. Horrible.
Review starts at the 6:30 mark… fyi
Dude, let the song play through one time.. then critique or praise.. hard to get into
