Got my FPace in August. The wait after ordering was So Worth it! I love my FPace!!!!
I have had my F Pace for about a month now. I traded in a Cayenne for it. I love the Jaguar as it is lighter, faster and more modern. There are so many configurations and options with the In control apps it is confusing at first. But the remote works very well. I can see where my vehicle is, the mileage, fuel level, etc. any time, any place. Also, the price in US seems to be much cheaper than what was quoted in Euros in this review. I paid 59,000 (in Euros) for the Petrol S version (380HP) with most of the options. Much cheaper than Cayenne. I compare it to Cayenne not Macan because of the interior space. Almost identical. Macan is much smaller inside. Anyway, it is a well planted fun to drive SUV. Also, I got 20 inch wheels (not 22) and it is a good balance of handling and ride comfort as well as vulnerability to potholes. The upgraded Meridian sound system is amazing. In short, I am happy and love to drive it when I can get it away from my wife!

+Autogefühl Well, you know us 'mericans, we want the biggest engines with the most horsepower. I have the 380 HP petrol version coming. On a side note, I lived in Germany for six years, and have traveled there often since. German was my language in college, and although much of it has been lost, it was very nice seeing your review. Those old towns, the narrow, winding streets, it brought back many fond memories.

try test driving it first. looks isn't everything. noisy cabin, poor gas milage, rough road riding and terrible for long drives..

Visually, it's the best looking SUV on the market for sure. I've seen several in the metal. Very nice indeed. The Macan has no chance.
How about the new Maserati Levante? I think this Jag is better myself both from the front and rear but the Maserati is better from the side probably because it looks lower which makes it sportier with a lower center of gravity.
+alisenan1 Levante doesn't stand a chance. Although, there may be people who purchase the Levante simply to get the Maserati brand name... but other than that this vehicle is more visually stunning and is a better performer.
I stumbled upon Autogefuhl last night to watch your XC60 review (I am picking my new R-design on Monday). I have now watched several reviews, including the F-Pace and I really really like the approach to the review.
I really appreciate the time taken to look over each car in great detail, specifically on aspects of the cars that other journalists and reviewers miss (such as design and points on the car that are important and might be missed).
I look forward to watching more reviews, and hopefully you will have the new Maserati Levante soon (unfortunately outside of my SUV budget).

I am the F-Pace owner and I would like to clearify the activity key works very well when you need to open the door. You have to touch the back door botton once before you place it on the J letter.

Finally I have waited so long for this review :P I am glad to see jaguar have improved on the quality on the interior and driving, especially if it is their first SUV. And that red one at the end was just beautiful, definitely the best looking SUV in my eyes. Also, this or the mercedes GLC? I know a few people wondering between these two cars and they can't decide. Good review again Autogefühl :P

im not content with volvo xc90 rear. The front is great but the thor lights get boring quite fast now they come on the cheaper models (v40) as well... this is definately the most beautiful suv on the market. together with the x5 in my opinion

Car? Lovely. But expensive. In the UK an F-Pace Prestige AWD 2.0 180hp diesel automatic with all the gizmos is £57,545. Not in the same class, not as pretty an exterior, but I think with a nicer interior (I’ve studied both), no less roomy, and with all the same extra equipment except no memory seats, a ‘full-spec’ New Tiguan SEL is £19k cheaper. And I don’t want a big car.
No complains about the review but man ! You are reviewing a Jaguar, show some energy.

I had picked up onreviews about the 'limited' rearward view... but having taken delivery of my X-Pace I was very pleasantly surprised to find the rear mirror view quite good.

A good review by Thomas; the crossover looks stylish, has the new infotainment system and a good range of engines. It will be interesting to see how this model performs when the petrol version of the ingenium engines becomes available and also the V8 SVR version to take on the Porsche Macan/Cayenne Turbo.

Thanks for another great and detailed review. I'm still waiting for the redesigned SQ5, but also considering the F-Pace or the GLC 43 AMG. I know you have a particular love for Jaguars, but somehow you didn't seem super excited about this car, and I think you really wanted to be. I'm just comparing your behavior compared to other car reviews you've done. To me it sounds like you love the exterior, but the rest of the car is simply okay -- performance, features, user experience, etc. Even mediocre in some cases. After watching this review, my opinion of the F-Pace has faltered a couple notches.
Things I didn't like about the F-Pace: The front grill shape (like a fat bean), that the rear seats don't lock down completely flat like Audis, and seems like they need a lot of work on the UX -- which is a big thing for me. Also I would really worry about reliability issues on this car. It also options out quite high compared to Audi's and even Mercedes -- when going for the performance variations and tech features.

Given the option of 19" or 22" rims... I'd go for the 19"... less chance of kerbing the rims, but more importantly deeper sidewalls on the 19" gives a more comfortable ride.
that sensor around the logo is an eyesore
I got one and they are fun to drive, they are not super fast but faster than most cars and fun to drive for an SUV .. my is v6 supercharge... going to get chip and pulley :)

Does that big sheet of plastic behind the badge on the grill sort of make a mess of things? I think it's the V60 from Volvo that's now putting the electronics up between the windshield and the rear view mirror - smart in terms of potential damage in a minor accident and also in terms of cleaner lines up front.

I did try it. Multiple times. The system was not 100 % ready, at least for this vehicle. So I tried also other spots. You can believe that :)
