    The Pilates bar mimics a Pilates reformer workout as the bar has 2 straps with a strong resistance to help create a long lean body by loading the muscles through various movements and positions.
    Complete all 5 days for a comprehensive and well rounded program.
    This is Day 1 of a 5 day Pilates bar challenge. In this 15 minute full body Pilates bar workout you will work your entire body. Use the Pilates bar to mimic reformer Pilates exercises from the comfort of your home. This full-body workout focuses on building strength, improving posture, and enhancing flexibility. Ideal for all fitness levels, this routine requires a Pilates bar.     Hey Jacinta! At first I didn't have a bar but I ordered one and I am happy I did! It was a great workout. I repeated it twice to really feel the burn! My favorite exercise was the single leg lower and all overhead exercises. Thank you for great workouts!!! xxx

    Loved it and the froggy legs were more favourite as it gave me flashbacks to reformer. I’m not as smooth as you in my transitions between exercises but will improve with use of the bar (and the rest time helped).

    Done with my flat resistance band to a degree. I was able to adapt most of the exercises using it. It's definitely a lovely short intro to the pilates bar. I might treat myself 😊. Thank you Jacinta for this workout 👍 😊

    Getting back into using my pilates bar. Was struggling trying to roll the straps around, one side kept coming loose 🤦. I found I didn't get enough time to get in position and ready for the next work out quick enough. But will keep working on my timings 😅. Will continue to follow your videos 😊

    Well (Philippa) I got very inventive with the long resistance bands as tied one end to my feet (one heavy, one medium) so I could adjust the tension by changing the hold up or down the bands👍 also added 0.5kg ankle weights for a bit more spice-🔥 favourite exercise was the marching glute bridge-sorry that was on the 10mins abs I did before🙄😊! 🤩💪 just saved myself £20 (A$35!) 😂

    I had problems first getting tension on 1st routine. Till I realised you were wrapping around the bar. I got through but had delays bc I doubled the bands too much tension lol. And the. I have weak wrists so finding balance took some adjusting half way through. But I did sweat

      You’re doing amazing by showing up for yourself. Be kind and take some additional practices that calm your nervous system to keep hormones as balanced as can. Like meditation or breath work to accompany Pilates

    Very excited to have discovered the series! Just completed day 1 and am extremely pleased! It was an excellent session! So, should I do all five days sequentially, or should I do day one for multiple days then rest them move today too? Just trying to understand what’s the best order in which to move through the 5 days. Thanks!

    Hey Jacinta I don’t have a Pilates bar but I have alot of other Pilates equipment would u recommend the Pilates bar; is it a must have for you?

      Hi Gabe, I personally don’t think it’s a must as I will use other equipment mostly. It’s just another variation to add some flair into your routine. It certainly brings a big burn and you have the benefit of the strength work with using the resistance bar so there is certainly a place for it.

      Oh sorry to hear. That can be tricky for the kneeling series. Does a pillow under knee help? Otherwise you’ll have to try it standing and using a wall or table to balance. Let me know how you go

      @@PostureTonic thank you for responding! I looked it up and you’re right it’s not available here. I suppose I’ll just get the Giam Pilates bar then, seems to be the most recommended on Amazon here. I’m based in the U.S! You have a wonderful channel and I look forward to your challenge videos. Just to share a little bit, I started reformer Pilates at a studio two months ago, I have not had the chance to build very much muscle or strength as a kid because of my knee injury but I always swam and eventually did some yoga in my teens til now. I tried to lift weights but I really wasn’t getting the mobility and REAL strength PLUS flexibility I was looking for and somehow I finally got the chance to do Pilates but i go to the studio once a week and now I see there is mat Pilates! When I saw this bar and your challenge it was amazing because I wanted to supplement the studio time by doing something at home! I’m in a new world of Pilates and really starting to feel strength and the moves supporting my body like a proper scaffold haha. It’s a wonderful way to gain strength without so much fear around my knee being injured, I see it like physical therapy actually, week by week I’m seeing changes and I feel confident in the way that I move, confidence in that I don’t have to worry about my knee popping out or losing balance (and I’m young in my early 30’s!) I’m also starting to see my body aligning, like pelvis tucked in and feeling my trunk tighten and activate, it’s really an incredible thing that I’ve come into. Thank you for your great content and thank you for making content for beginners as well, some things I am not able to do yet but there are others I can and I can’t wait to get there. You have a beautiful strong body and not only is it beautiful to see but it really changes the way you live life, your mind set, etc… I can keep going haha, but yes it’s amazing to keep up exercise to live life fully and be active. These days after 2 month of Pilates once a week, I find I’m not feeling knee pain going up or down the stairs, I’m so thankful.       @@PostureTonic I didn't really feel anything, I think I need more resistance. I'm used to the machines at the gym so doing this was a big shift. I don't know if Pilates is for me. You are an excellent instructor and the workouts are easy to follow and flow nicely.

      I don't have a bar either, but I do have an open ended resistance flat band that works for most of the exercises. I did day 1 and managed to adapt the workout. It's not perfect or pretty but it sort of works. If you have a flat resistance you could give it a try maybe 😊.

    How tall is Jacinta? I ask because the dish move was impossible unless I rolled my cables up but idk if that’s right or not.. otherwise I couldn’t get my torso off the floor as high as she could but maybe that’s just my beginner lack of abs lol.

      Oh maybe your bar has more resistance which makes it harder to pull apart. I’m 161cm for reference. I know different bars have different tensioning. My bar here is from BAHE Aus or Uk only

      Oh sorry to hear. You need to up the resistance on your bar and you can take out the rests and keep moving to advance.
      Also have you completed the rest do the challenge?

    Amazing quick workout. Thank you. It was hard for me because I’m out of shape but determined. Maybe sometimes you can give an alternative. Just a thought. 😊
