My strawberries aren't that good yet here in Washington. They look delicious on the outside, but when cut, they are white inside and a bit sour. You have a beautiful home! My daughter lives in Texas, near Dallas (Colleyville), and she has that same Highland Cow on her family room wall. My husband is Scottish (MacLeod), so we have several things Scottish in our home. Our clan is from the Isle of Skye. You did a really great job on that desk!
I saw someone make omelet in a hole. They put their favorite add ins, just diced smaller and they cut a square hole (with a knife). Looked delicious, haven't made one yet.
Do you let the strawberries dry before cutting them & putting in jars? Do you cut the peppers ahead even if you’re not going to eat them immediately? I like cherry tomatoes , do you wash them the same as the fruit?
Yes, I let the strawberries dry. If I’m in a hurry I’ll throw them in my salad spinner to speed up the process. Bell pepper I’ll cut if we are going to eat it within 4 days, otherwise I’ll just wash and dry them and throw them in the fridge. Tomatoes I don’t touch until I’m ready to use them that day. If I snacked on cherries tomatoes I would was those so they were ready anytime I wanted to snack. You can wash them in the vinegar mix too.
They have a simple syrup plain flavor so u can cook with or add to drink. U can get it on their website or sometimes at tj maxx and Marshall's when they have them. Let me know how you like it if you try the simple syrup flavor

I work at Walmart. All our strawberries are white on top, are they ripe? My grandma said they should be all red. I don’t think I’ve ever had a real delicious strawberry though. Either sour or bland 🤔
For the ripest berry, you want the red part to be a vibrant red. It is normal for right around the green leaves to be white but if the white is halfway down the berry then it’s not going to be as ripened

u can use skinny mixes simple syrup in your old fashions. its wonderful. congrats on the new home
