I'm so sorry, I only know now how lucky I was to get a pro lightning, who would've thought these base trucks would've been as rare as dinosaur eggs. That being said, I hope you get the opportunity to order your truck, I've really enjoyed your videos and my pro is always available for you to dive into if you're up my way
I am on the same boat. I will be taking my money back if Pro’s are sold out. And crossing my fingers I can get a vinfast vf9 which I have a reservation for also.

@@JosephHerzog man I wouldn't mind joining a live session with you and Larry to talk EV's. I am such an EV Nerd. The special thing about Vinfast that really separates it from the rest is that you lease the battery. I did, day 1. At this point I’m worried they’d arrive in my driveway about the same time… :( also worried that ford will keep doing “Limited quantities” of the pro each year. I just don’t have the patience to watch them do 500 every model year
@@JosephHerzog Agreed. I am in the same boat. If I don't get to order this year it will make my decision even harder since I reserved day 1 for the silverado. Especially, if we can secure a WT model for their advertised $40,000 entry point.
my assumption is that a 'deferred order invite' from 2022 can order ANY trim level they wish... their previous 'choice' to defer was simply a placeholder to put them at the start of the line for 2023. It's true that a 'PRO' defer choice would put them in the FIRST 2023 wave, and in the 'best' position, but even the second wave 'XLT' defer choice orders would be able to order ANY trim, even the Pro, as long as it was not yet 'sold out'. It would make no sense if a new Wave 3 order, a Brand New Customer, was able to order a PRO, when a Wave 2 was not. over 1,200 miles on my new PRO, and loving every minute, and hope everyone can have that same joy, sooner than later, hopefully.... Good Luck to all : )
I know the reservation amount was $100.00. What did they require an additional $1000.00 deposit from you for? I paid a deposit upon ordering my Lightning. But I don’t understand how or why they made you deposit $1,000.00 for a non order event.
Long story. They said that I was ordering, and they called it a “good faith deposit.” I didn’t see a reason to get the money back even after I learned they weren’t truly converting my reservation to an order since it will eventually go towards the truck.
Get your $1000 back. But do not cancel your reservation - no matter what. The $1000 isn't doing you any damn good anyway. I maybe getting you confused with Larry Lynch, but how early a reservation do you have? Are you day 2, week 2, a month in or longer.
Day 7. I am just impatient and am starting to itch for something new. If I knew a lightning would be in my driveway by winter 2023 that would stop my wandering eye. But I’m just frustrated that the PRO keeps getting the shaft (limited number in 2022, delayed production for MY2023)
@@JosephHerzog You should go down to your dealer, tell them to give you your deposit back since you're not even invited to order yet (and the system will take a deposit on the web page at that time, so you may end up being forced to do another 2nd deposit for all you know) and if they give you any trouble tell them you're going to move the reservation. Then no matter what you should move the reservation to someplace who will give you a written MSRP price agreement and order whatever you can when you get the chance.
