Congratulations, im happy to hear that you got it at the original price. I ordered mine 8/11/22, now it's a waiting game for me. Hopefully I can pull off your win on the final price.
Did not receive emails, I’m number 11 at my dealer. Drove xlt yesterday, pretty impressed. They need to lower the Xlt extended price to 79,999. That way it qualifies for the tax rebate
Joe, I just checked this morning the Pro I ordered on 8/11/22 now has a production date of 10/24/22. When I ordered it said expected date Autumn 23 so that caught me off guard.
That's awesome news Jim. Today also we learned that there may be hope for reservation holders to keep ordering pro lightnings so hopefully we get more news soon. Still no email for me regarding converting reservation to order.
my view is that Ford is asking for feedback from current reservation holders in order to better 'stage' those who WILL get an order invite, and those who might not yet. Now, as to whether 'how' you answer specific questions will affect that 'staging' is the real question. I, like you, think that it's an interesting question about whether you have other reservations from other manufacturers, although that could simply be a data comparison question, not one used to eliminate you from a future order invite - or, it COULD be used to 'stage' reservations for those who either DO have competition, or those who seem to be more 'loyal' to Ford... I can see where Ford might view someone with multiple reservations as someone who might just be 'fishing' for the first available EV Truck, versus someone who is actually INTENT on ONLY ordering a Lightning. It could also steer Ford into viewing someone as a 'flipper', instead of a true BUYER. My take on the question of 'will you consider another trim level if your choice is not available' is another 'staging' question - one used to not only gauge the need for the commodities of a certain high-demand trim, such as the PRO, but also one of taking someone from the PRO reservation to an XLT or other trim reservation, and more quickly staging them for an order Invite. We all already know that the PRO is getting ALL the attention, although it's interesting that most dealers are receiving LARIATS and PLATINUMS as their Demos. It's also very reasonable that the PRO will run into commodity constraints, VERY quickly, each model year, for some time. Ford had to 'guess' at these commodities orders, several years ago, and that is not something that can suddenly be rectified. Public demand for the PRO has not waned, and Ford really never saw it coming, but the commodities are not yet in the picture to allow them to build the numbers that people are asking for. Let's hope that your 'survey' email answers prompt Ford into moving you into a quick order 'stage'!
@@JosephHerzog I think Ford is taking the right track in trying to 'manage' expectations for future orders - they were caught so off-guard but such a HUGE demand for these EV trucks that it has made them start to realize that the former reservations 'system' might not be up to par, and the demand requires much more insight from future buyers. The great part of this, though, is that Ford is able to get YOUR expectations, not the dealers!
I answered the same way (PRO all the way), but said I would pay up to $1000 for reservation if it is refundable. I also said I have a rivian and cybertruck reservation which I do. I would consider a XLT if offered so I hope this survey doesn't put me at the back of the line. I did get the other e-mail about ordering soon! BTW 1st day reservation holder here and this is the first time ford has reached out as well. The survey also said to return by sept 26th? but I thought they were going to start 3rd wave on the 9th.
I haven't gotten either of the recent emails 5/20 8am reservation. I'm in the top 6 at my dealership I might be even lower tbh I heard from my salesman say there were some people ahead of me on the fence with pricing. I'm hoping they cancelled so they don't waste the invite
What a rip… I got the survey. I just want the Pro, like I reserved in the first place. Doubt I’ll ever get one. Im certain that the Silverado will be out before the Lightning Pro. Not to mention it will probably have a better range. When you really think about it… 240 miles sucks.
I finally got my pro model for msrp! $44097 out the door. Taxes and licensing and everything! It was battle! But it’s done now!

Joe, sure hope you get that Pro, that Area 51 paint for 2023 sure looks nice
I want Area 51 but I don’t want to pay extra for it

That would be nice. Still way out of my price range!! 😅

All great points. Don’t know why these surveys went out and what they do with that data. Hard to know if there are right vs wrong answers.

I too worry that Silverado will get delivered sooner, if ford continues only making 500 per year of the pro.
