I also watched both Incredibles movies a few months back and yeah it's still really good. Although I definitely think the first movie is so much better and still iconic. It's been a while since I've watched but it's definitely an incredible movie. Makes me wish Brad Bird made an animated Superman movie, especially with how much he loves and respects animation

Keeping the Christmas spirit alive even after the holidays! Recapping the movies we saw for holidays in hell def brings back good memories and it wasn’t even that long ago! Like how are we already 5 days into the new year?! Time is not real hahaha
So glad you loved Godzilla minus one! As a Godzilla fan myself, I was beyond impressed with what I saw. All the themes you mentioned it had are all throughout the series and it’s a great film for someone like you to start with! Especially since all the G-fans agree, it’s one of the few Godzilla movies where you actually care about the human characters!
Thank you for some movie recommendations too! I didn’t see dream scenario and I think I’ll just catch it on streaming when it comes but past lives… man that sounds like it would wreck me tbh. I always wonder about what could’ve been in my life/love life and it seems like I would love it only for how much it hurts lol I’m a masochist like that.

I'm still trying to find the time to watch Suitable Flesh , I really liked Mayhem so I'm interested to see this movie by Joe Lynch and Barbara Crampton she's a scream queen legend so I'm definitely watching this movie for her

Kylie could you please expand on what you mean by home invasion? Because in my mind the original Black Christmas is a home invasion movie and you seem to really like it. You also like Hush I believe. Home invasion movies terrify me because it's my biggest fear. It's why I lock my bedroom door when I go to bed haha.
Hush is the only one I like. Has a special twist. Black Christmas has way too many other elements going on to boil it down to just a home invasion
Don't get the hate for THE MEAN ONE, except for the CGI snow throughout.

Die hard is definitely a Christmas film but so is die hard 2 and lethal weapon and one of my favourites the long kiss goodnight they all feature Christmas trees so Christmas
Love the Incredibles and the second one and if you like the Incredibles give the iron giant a watch it's also by Brad bird and is fantastic

Bad news, I lost my father 6 days before Christmas. I went both the visitation (12/29) AND his homegoing service (12/30). New Year's Eve was supposed to be his 66th birthday.

I just wanna say I appreciate you for giving It's a Wonderful Life a chance, and sorry for all the boomers who gave you hate for not liking it that much. I love it and it's an annual rewatch every Christmas for me, but I fully understand that it's not for everyone and as a millenial I'm already in the minority because most people my age don't watch movies like that. I also completely agree that there are some scenes that are pretty sus by today's standards (like the bathrobe scene you mentioned) or just kind of cringey (I always thought the romance between George Bailey and Mary was just generally awkward in how "old-timey" it feels).
What I think resonates with me so much in that movie is how much I empathize with George Bailey in that how he had to give up his dreams and had to settle for a "mediocre" life and how he learns to see the value in it. I have a huge fear of missing out and not accomplishing my dreams and ambitions in my life and waking someday on my death bed looking back on my life in regret of all the things I didn't do, and I think I need to rewatch that movie regularly to remind myself that even if I don't live a remarkable life I can still find meaning and happiness in an ordinary and "mediocre" life, and that my "unremarkable" life can still be important and valuable to the people around me.
Also congratulations for coming out of the broom closet (unless you had already talked about practicing on your channels on some other videos and I had just missed it)! I always kind of wonder when I see someone wearing something like a pentagram necklace or similar symbols if they are a practitioner or not, and it always warms my heart a little to find out that they are in the craft! ⛤ ⛧

I've always considered the Die Hard Christmas debate as an inside joke for everyone and not to be taken seriously.. it's like every December the entire world is obligated to say whether they think Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not lol, it's been a thing for as long as I can remember..
I've only seen OG Black Christmas twice and never loved it although there are parts of the film that I genuinely love.. I'm hoping one day I'll really appreciate it, it can definitely happen..
Yeah Peyton List has a pouty face but it works.. I only know her from Cobra Kai and that's the only thing I've seen her in, but I think she's talented, I like her acting style..

It took me forever before I watched "It's A Wonderful Life" as well. I watched it two years ago and it was also not for me. I don't know why so many people love this movie, because my main complaint is that I also think that George Bailey is a meh character. I also take umbrage with what the movie does to Mary's character in the alternate timeline when George doesn't exist. Rude. And people need to chill out when you don't like a movie they LOVE. It's okay people, we can all have different experiences, opinions, likes, and dislikes. The world won't end.

Years ago I took my nephew to Universal Studios. We took the tour bus. When we stopped at the Psycho House he got on the mic and told us about the day Jim Carrey was filming in one of the studios. He said on a break that Carrey had had he got into the prop department and put on the psycho dress, wig and took a rubber knife. The driver of the tour bus said when he stopped at the house out the front 🚪 psycho lady comes out stroking the knife 🔪 and screaming. He jumps on top of the bus. Pounds the top of the roof some, jumps off and starts running down through the field below. The driver said some people laughed, some screamed but no it was not part of the tour. Sadly it didn’t happen while I was there. 🤨
I liked the concept of Dream Scenario. Could’ve been better. Cage was great in the role tho. Also saw Beau is Afraid, still don’t know where I stand with that film. I liked parts of it, bit of a bore at times. Ari Aster needs therapy fr
So, just my opinion, but I think you may be misreading the scene in which Donna Reed's character loses the bathrobe and hides in the bush. Unless Reed suddenly lost the ability to act (only to regain it in the next scene), the two characters seem to be speaking their lines in an exaggerated or heightened style that suggests (to me at least) that they're engaging in playful banter. I could be reading the scene wrong, but this interpretation seems consistent with the relationship between the characters in the rest of the movie, and, I think, it's the typical understanding of this scene.

That's fair. We don't all have to see things the same way. Another movie that everyone else seems to love, Dazed and Confused, is a movie I can't enjoy because I can't get past the moments of bullying, humiliation, violence, and general predatory creepiness. Those moments just bring back too much of my own high school experiences.
