The global church needs to return to Jesus’ stance: welcoming, but non-affirming of bad behaviour. Loving, but standing strong for a set of specific rules and values.
People say Christians force people or bother them to believe in God, but the right people don't. They simply tell the way of God and leave the choice to them.
Either we serve God or Satan. That simple. The characteristics of the evil one is condemnation of believers who speak the Gospel. They use the word love freely, fitting different parts of the Bible for their truth. But we understand that teaching any other gospel is sin, and an Abomination. Okay this is a good lesson, it's always been a misunderstanding that it's too hard to give love and truth at the same time. I’ve been going to church since I’ve been in my mama’s belly, seeing people go from horrible lifestyles like drinking and smoking, you name it, and start to follow god and his wise word saying that they want to serve the lord for the rest of their lives, and this is one of the best stories I have ever heard
I agree that it's amazing when people find strenght and love in religion and can overcome bad habits such as drinking a lot or smoking a lot. That's truly amazing. I just don't see what that has to do with the story we get told in this post. Like, there was a young person who liked to wear high heels and put on make up. That doesn't sound like a bad habit to me, so I don't see what this person got "cured" or "healed" from. And what does it have to do with the trans flag there? If it's what I think and the message is: "this person is trans and got "cured" by christianity" that doesn't make any sense, because you can't "heal" someone from beeing trans. Luckily, that's not an illness. For the context: I, myself, am a christian (catholic), I grew up and still live in a religious family (I also went to two very religious schools) and I'm trans. Outed, excepted and loved by my family and God.
This post is 6 months old so I’ll share this story real quick. I met a guy in my small groups and he said he was gay and never felt welcomed to a church, always getting looked at weird and things along those lines. I told him even though JCI(my home church) is getting large, we’re still a family and everyone is growing at their own pace and on their own path and everyone is loved here. He didn’t have much of a response, but I’ve seen him every week since then so hopefully I said the correct thing. I always think that I’ll stumble over my explanation or whatever I’m saying when it’s important, so hopefully I did good.
Im a christian and i just love everyone there isnt a reason to hate or dislike someone for their sexual orientation and identity, what matters is we're ALL people.

My daughter’s fiance identified as pansexual (whatever that means) and just the other day he told me that his mental struggles have been so bad that he has been considering going to church. He is an atheist. He told me that he no longer identifies as pansexual. I have been praying consistently for both of them and I feel that the power of Jesus is coming upon both of them and that they are going to have amazing testimonies to share in the near future.

I understand what you are saying. We are all God's children. But....... if you've never accepted the Lord as your personal Savior and never asked Him to come into your heart and forgive your sins, then you will not see heaven. God is a God of love and forgiveness but it's your choice to believe and choose Him. He doesn't force Himself in your life. But because He's our creator we are His children.

Aw man I want to cry. I was just as confused as the boy first time I walked into my church I just felt love back and forth but I was so engraved into what I believe in that I wanted to reject it yet it still affected me. 3 years of going to church I still thank God of the confusion and depression he brought me out of. I love my Pastor and First Lady everyone at my church is just loving overall, we’re not perfect tho some do judge but even the judgment can’t surpass Gods love for us.
Whenever I walk into a church I feel very uncomfortable and claustrophobic, their just too creepy. 2/10 because I found it funny when the man waterboarded the baby, and the big statue of jesus that was home to a birds nest and bird shit stains gave me a good chuckle. Overall though would not recommend, hope I never go again.
The Love of God is Something Special❤. I have fehlt it one year ago almost and i want to feel it again as it was in that Moment. It felt Like heaven🌅. If you havent felt it pray as long as IT needs until you can really feel it. I felt it because i was at my lowest and almost about to have my live Up but God saved me and 5 minutes after my prayer i felt extreme Joy i have never felt and suddently in that Moment all my Depression was Like gone or almost gone and it was heaven Peace and No other Sounds in the Background Just God. It was beautiful. Pray for it too. Amen 🙏🏼
I lived on a street that had trans street workers. It was so sad seeing them crying and broken. One time I was walking my pup and one guy shouted in a heartbreak cry no one loves me. I told him yes, God loves you, you are a child of God. It was so sad 😢
This was so powerful that I teared up. This is why we need more church that are Biblically focused and Christ centered. You never know how God will move, but when He does move, He moves without fail. Amen!

Something a Pastor at my church said years ago that will ALWAYS stay with me is “Love the sinner and hate the sin”. God does the same thing. God loves you!!

We shouldn't feel comfortable around sin nor accept it. The problem we have amongst us is that we tend to go to extreme either way. We either shun sinners and ignore the fact we too are sinners or we accept all sin as "its the way God made me." Both are incorrect. As Christians, we need to be turning away from the modern form that we call church and go back to the book of acts.

I am consumed with love each time I attend church. Not the very large ones but the tiny lil ones. I feel the presence of GOD thru me. The presence of Jesus. I’m unable to hold back tears. The good christians care and respect everyone. Sadly you get political christians that put their political beliefs before religion, so they associate those with different views with the opposite side of their belief. And instead of following love they'd rather they debate their ideals instead of truly trying to passively affect someone. A reminder to Christians that the lost come to your buildings as well as the saved and you may impact greatly their decision to return. I had tattoos and the hideous people felt a need to point out my sin while failing to even realize their own. I’m not sure why I ever returned . But when I did I found a loving set of people and I kept going. Quietly slipping in the back just after things begun so as to about avoid the members. Week after week I went back. I did this my whole time in the USA. I returned home and felt the longing to be in that church. A missionary arrived in Jerusalem same as endless before him. His wife was possibly the kindest woman I have ever met even into this day. I finally slipped her a note and said if Yeshua was real how can I talk to him. My next arrival she slipped me one back - “ if you want to hear from God read all his words- and if you want to speak to him pray” much love your sister. Imagine my 😮😮 all these people would come to my country to my holy city to tell me I was wrong. I was. Thank God for the annoying missionaries and relentless Christian tourists! To God he all the glory and honor forever! Amen! Yeshua was and is the Mashiach. The work of the cross for the chosen one paved the way for me as well as you.
I'm so glad to hear this story. Everyone that comes to church should feel loved. As Christians we need to accept the person, but not the sins they are committing. I wish more Churches were like this. I know a lot are but a lot of churches also aren't what they should be.
I agree. I just don't think we should shun or treat someone badly for their sin. I've seen that at some churches. The church I go to now is loving of everyone, this doesn't mean we don't point out the sin we do. Sin is against God.

A major issue though is when Christians adopt the language of the left/irreligious whatever you want to call it/them “identify as” wasn’t a thing until a few years ago, yet everyone, Christians included use their language (and language is thought)… so in a sense they’ve already been compromised to a degree.
I had a similar experience I went to church with a lady from work. I'm not the traditional church goer wearing the Sundays best if you will and have tattoos and gauged my ears. I’ve been going to church since I’ve been in my mama’s belly, seeing people go from horrible lifestyles like drinking and smoking, you name it, and start to follow god and his wise word saying that they want to serve the lord for the rest of their lives, and this is one of the best stories I have ever heard
I agree that it's amazing when people find strenght and love in religion and can overcome bad habits such as drinking a lot or smoking a lot. That's truly amazing. I just don't see what that has to do with the story we get told in this post. Like, there was a young person who liked to wear high heels and put on make up. That doesn't sound like a bad habit to me, so I don't see what this person got "cured" or "healed" from. And what does it have to do with the trans flag there? If it's what I think and the message is: "this person is trans and got "cured" by christianity" that doesn't make any sense, because you can't "heal" someone from beeing trans. Luckily, that's not an illness.
For the context: I, myself, am a christian (catholic), I grew up and still live in a religious family (I also went to two very religious schools) and I'm trans. Outed, excepted and loved by my family and God.

This post is 6 months old so I’ll share this story real quick. I met a guy in my small groups and he said he was gay and never felt welcomed to a church, always getting looked at weird and things along those lines. I told him even though JCI(my home church) is getting large, we’re still a family and everyone is growing at their own pace and on their own path and everyone is loved here. He didn’t have much of a response, but I’ve seen him every week since then so hopefully I said the correct thing. I always think that I’ll stumble over my explanation or whatever I’m saying when it’s important, so hopefully I did good.

The Love of God is Something Special❤. I have fehlt it one year ago almost and i want to feel it again as it was in that Moment. It felt Like heaven🌅. If you havent felt it pray as long as IT needs until you can really feel it. I felt it because i was at my lowest and almost about to have my live Up but God saved me and 5 minutes after my prayer i felt extreme Joy i have never felt and suddently in that Moment all my Depression was Like gone or almost gone and it was heaven Peace and No other Sounds in the Background Just God. I lived on a street that had trans street workers. It was so sad seeing them crying and broken. One time I was walking my pup and one guy shouted in a heartbreak cry no one loves me. I told him yes, God loves you, you are a child of God. It was so sad 😢

The problem we have amongst us is that we tend to go to extreme either way. We either shun sinners and ignore the fact we too are sinners or we accept all sin as "its the way God made me." Both are incorrect. As Christians, we need to be turning away from the modern form that we call church and go back to the book of acts.

I am consumed with love each time I attend church. Not the very large ones but the tiny lil ones. I feel the presence of GOD thru me. The presence of Jesus. I’m unable to hold back tears. Snot falling from my nose and the feeling of being lifted. I dare not to explain it. It is something that takes a hold of me. I’ve never read the Bible. I don’t attend church. My relationship with Christ is personal to me. I do pray for people I meet and know it’s heard. ❤

A reminder to Christians that the lost come to your buildings as well as the saved and you may impact greatly their decision to return. I had tattoos and the hideous people felt a need to point out my sin while failing to even realize their own. I’m not sure why I ever returned . But when I did I found a loving set of people and I kept going. Quietly slipping in the back just after things begun so as to about avoid the members. Week after week I went back. I did this my whole time in the USA. I returned home and felt the longing to be in that church. A missionary arrived in Jerusalem same as endless before him. His wife was possibly the kindest woman I have ever met even into this day. I finally slipped her a note and said if Yeshua was real how can I talk to him. My next arrival she slipped me one back - “ if you want to hear from God read all his words- and if you want to speak to him pray” much love your sister. Imagine my 😮😮 all these people would come to my country to my holy city to tell me I was wrong.

I'm so glad to hear this story. Everyone that comes to church should feel loved. As Christians we need to accept the person, but not the sins they are committing. I wish more Churches were like this. I know a lot are but a lot of churches also aren't what they should be.

A major issue though is when Christians adopt the language of the left/irreligious whatever you want to call it/them “identify as” wasn’t a thing until a few years ago, yet everyone, Christians included use their language (and language is thought)… so in a sense they’ve already been compromised to a degree.

I had a similar experience I went to church with a lady from work. I'm not the traditional church goer wearing the Sundays best if you will and have tattoos and gauged my ears. But when I walked in nobody said anything about my appearance. When it came time to the sermon of that day was suicide and depression which i was going through. So to say God doesn't work in mysterious ways and knows and wants to talk to you.
That person just fell victim to conversion therapy and didn’t even know it :(
