Tip for anyone building this model- in the semi-truck portion, take the hard shock absorber from the rear wheel and replace the soft shock absorber in the rear with it and vice versa, but leave the hard axel in the front of the semi truck.

I was going to get another 42043 for the purpose of building this B-Model, but as it proves the A-Model is more worth it. IMHO this looks fine but the Arocs really shines as a dumper, the outrigger design for the trailer is smart but not enough for me to consider buying another one. I think Lego is trying to mimic what it did with the 8110 where you have a solid platform of a truck, 5 sub models the chassis being the most complex to build and then you have the cabin. Don't get me wrong the 42043 is really fun to have it has many details but the B-Model is just lackluster for me.
I would either make the block an i4 with a firing order of 1-3-4-2 since you're limited to a power stroke every 90 deg with the four toothed Technic axle. Preferably it would be a V6 as Mercedes don't use i6 for their Actros division, except you can't make a crankshaft for that form factor to remain balanced with a V6 configuration out of lego unfortunately.

Hi - I am not sure if you look at comments/questions on your older vids, but if so, I would like to ask a question. I am guessing the cab isn't entirely the same as on the A model as it has 2 of the LBG curved panels on 1 side, and the buckets for the other side. This is towards the end of your review when you show how easily those panels can be pulled off if the cab is lifted. I have lots of LBG curved panels in my spare parts, so thinking I can just mirror one side to the other and use the buckets. This brings me to my question... I am not fond of connecting up a useless 'bin' on the 1x3 thin black liftarm to connect to the crane assembly. After watching your review I can see much clearer that it is really the same crane as the A model. That being said can I assemble the the bucket portion of the crane same as in A model? There is the mini-LA there and now I will have the buckets. This way it can do what the crane is meant to do, transfer stuff from the bed of the trailer onto the ground next to the trailer. I didn't really like this B-model. It needs a PF extension wire, which can be bought only from Bricklink and LEGO's website. I am soon getting my 42043 and I would prefer to build some MOCs by Brickbybrick or develop my idea, the Arocs Rod. Maybe I can use a complex 5-speed pneumatic transmission or, maybe, a chassis with pushrod front suspension, rear live axle, front positive caster angle, rear negative caster angle, Ackermann 4-wheel steering with working steering wheel and 4-wheel drive with double rear wheels and a spare wheel. The R6 engine will rest in the rear, along with the transmission and chocks from the actual model. Seats will be tilted pneumatically ans the steering wheel will be adjustable.

When you said that it's front heavy, that's not really legos fault because that's how it is with most semi trucks.

You can't make 100% original Lego fly on its own when powered at standard 9V. Way too heavy, way too weak.

You do have to remember that it is Lego though.
Right, removing 2 cylinders and swapping the rotation of cylinder 1 and 2 will be the most pragmatic compromise. Regardless I enjoyed the build!
