I would give a Nobel price to the guy who planned it. It's brilliant. Took me 3 days (with wife and kids) to build it. It's huge and heavy.

I build it one month
the biggest i've built was the technic cargo helicopter (the one with the coaxial rotors) and that was hard, i can't wait to try this one

I (could) build it in one day
Finally I got it few days ago. I hope to built it within next few weeks when having some free time. Looking at the video where lots of part are preassembled to make video shorter, I believe it normally takes hours to build it from scratch.
I bought this set , it had been at least 25 years ago that i got to build any technics . After seeing this vid i descided to bite the bullet and buy it. It's not cheap but heck it's worth it ! After 2 evenings of fun i'm 1/3th done ( aprrox 6 hours so far). It's insane that this is so much fun to build, highly reccomended to everyone doubting.
how long in all did it take you to build?
I just finished mine in 12 hours :)
I surely didn't rush it, i think it took about 15 hours in total

it tooo me around 11 hours to build it, and i took one day, I was buidling non stop up to 2 h in the moring

+RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 DO it, they are fun to put together I just got a few sets myself and I'm 30. There are gents far older then both of us that play with lego. Not just for the kid's. :)

I enjoyed every part if the build, it was a relaxed build for me after spreading it over a week's worth. this is a massive set only 75% - 80% smaller in overall size compared to the 8110 Unimog, still this one hell of a set from Lego!
ps the three bar grille exists and is found on select variants of the real Arocs, I believe its the two axle model while the most I've seen is like a five bar grille reserved for the 4-axled Arocs SLT

Recently built this set, had a bit of problems with the crane so had to rip it apart and rebuild it, took some advice and made sure all the hosing was pushed in fully,
my swivel doesn't swivel smoothly but its due to some of the hosing bumping into some of the blocks which i assume can be fixed simply. Definately was worth the money . i think it took a couple days to complete

Incredible, incredible, model + build. The design that went into this amazes me. just the cabin is like 100 pieces! you understand why its expensive, but still almost too much for me atm :/ Just ordered the kwik-e-mart last week lol.

Nice, I bought this in our official lego store and it got tons of lego technic, I chose this one cause they said there's a lot of functions than the other sets, it cost us Php 20,000 it's expensive but worth it, it took me five days to build this, I managed to finish it, liked the vid
glad to see pneumatics are coming back. i was seeing all these gear driven pistons the last years and it was disappointing.
Im 75% though the build of this truck, its amazing!!
Just got it for Christmas! So happy! Love it and I have started to build it! :) (I did play around with the pneumatics a bit as well :) lol) can't wait to have it all built and to play with it! :)
finished look nice but during the build there was nothing looking like a truck, for example a proper chassis ,diff etc. it's like building around what look the engine, even the cabin. but overall its a nice piece of kit, i always loved lego technic this brings memories when i was younger.
