I believe it is a polyurethane top layer on top of a PVC vinyl base. This explains why the film rolls into itself in that direction, the vinyl is shrinking but the polyurethane isn't. I did a civic si roof with a sunroof in flexishield and i found the way it squeegee'd, stretched, and took heat were interesting to say the least. I'm excited to learn this new film, something really different to explore
Thanks for your videos! Can you post or demo for us how you tackle a model Y bumper? I used your measurements for my job but I can’t seem to figure out where the inlays are used. I can’t seem to figure out where to use the knife less tape.
@@GdayFraz Hey JD, I love your videos and information you have shared with us. I am currently doing Flexishield DM-02 on my MYP and needs some expert's help doing the front bumper. Could you make a short video or drawing for us? Thanks!
Used Flexishield and let me tell you this. Flexishield is thick, tacky, and definitely not that stretch due to it being thick. Your better off wrapping your car in something else and Ceramic coating it.. But if you have all the money then go get flexishield
wonder what the condition of the paint will be when you take it off. Will the paint have all of that goo on it from the wrap? Do you think wrapping a car and then ceramic coating it provides enough protection as compared to standard PPF?
@@ronin120 As long as you let the car sit outside in the hot sun, and use additional heat from a heat gun or a steamer to slowly take off the film, around 90% of the goo will come off. Heat is the best solution for removal
Justin Pate, I'm sure he is good but that guy seems like a hack. I've been wrapping cars since 2004, professionally! I was the RallyFighter wrap guy for 4 years. I've even wrapped cars wet with 3M 7125 film before the 180 film was invented.
Love your videos, you are the only guy that actually gets in close to your finished product, Sign of a great wrapper. Keep it up man!
This man doesn’t get enough credit! Great work and keep it up!
Great video! I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought this film was “interesting” to work with. It’s a great product, but it will test you.
Great stuff! You are one of the best on youtube! I might try this stuff. Thanks

Does the parking sensors still work?
Looks amazing. I tried to do a model y (super easy car), but no matter what i do, i see a lot of glue lines. A LOT!
What color is that colored ppf
That looks amazing

Text me a pic of the bumper and I’ll draw the lines for you, 928-814-5030

What color is the car? I love it.
great video man
What did it cost you to do that car? Great work 🙂
So do you find this wrap easier to install than like a 3M 2080 matte finish then? Or still add 2-4 hours for the Flexishield install?
Add 2-4 hours per day probably
@@GdayFraz Per day? But on a vehicle that takes 8 total hours to fully install matte wrap, it's 2-4 hours more for Flexishield? So 25-50% longer?
Ultrasonic sensors working through that thick film?
Yep. I however no longer endorse this film. They are liars and their film is not ppf
@@GdayFrazcan you elaborate? I own a shop and was considering this over Nanolink, etc
@@jonprueI don’t trust the company and believe they are misrepresenting the film
Nice
anyone tell you that you look like Jimmi Simpson from West World
