- In this video I breakdown the experience I had installing flexishield cosmetic ppf on a Toyota Tacoma. I talk about what installers should know, the pros and cons and also give a personal review of the film. #flexishield #ppf #bulkinstall
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing your experience with this awesome new wrap!
Great video, definitely looking forward to this cosmetic ppf!
Thanks for the video JD!
Thank you for this video. I have been on the fence about ordering this film for our shop and this def pushed me over the edge. I'm very skeptical of new products but after watching this video we are going to get our hands on some.
I’ve had it outside in 90F heat for the past few days and it’s holding up great! So far so good
Great Video! Thank you so much for all of the useful information! definitely subscribed!
Thank you for the review video. I have been tempting to order a small roll to wrap my motorcycle and helmet as soon as I saw this product. Because it is so new, I couldn't find a lot of wrap video or review.
For sure! Glad it helped
I like this guy. 👍
High carbon black blades homey! Thanks for the info.
I'm new to this material but I notice no matter what I do I can't really avoid lines even when thier is no tension idk if they come out later like some other vinyles but some times it looks horrible especially around areas where you have to lift the material back up. I've tried adjust ING my technique to were I don't have to re lift the wrap but some times it's unavoidable in some panels.
I found that the adhesive is super tacky when you’re trying to install it on a flat panel, but it comes apart from the film if used on even the slightest recess or groove.
Wanna elaborate :)
How long does flexishield last? I have heard anywhere between 5 to 10 years. My installer quoted me $6k which is steep but I also know that it covers the whole car so the price is understandable, but if it is only effective for say 5 years, I am not sure if I would want to do that.
A startup SEV company named Aptera is planning on wrapping their cars. It is one of the more controversial design decisions they have made, but this heavier cosmetic PPF film is encouraging that it might work out. Do you see any issues with applying this film to body panels that are not yet assembled to the car in a factory designed to produce about 40 cars per day? This would be a dedicated crew of workers with precut pieces that they do over and over again and get good at. The car is only wrapped on the sides and underside since the top surface is covered in solar cells. Go to Aptera Motors to see the car.
Have you seen the diamond PPF films in sunlight? I'm looking to get my 2022 Camaro ZL1 1LE wrapped in the next few months and I'm doing my research now. Thanks in advance.
From flexishield? No
What knifeless tape are you using? I have 3m Desigline, and it won't cut it. I love your videos. It real cool that you have built this out of your house.
I used design line without issue
it's this directional? Does the backing liner have direction indicators?
Not directional, and blank backing paper
Do you think this would effect Tesla park sensors ?
I’m not sure tbh. Probably
