Volkswagen Golf mk4 spare tire hold down replacement

In this short video, I show how to remove and replace the spare tire hold down on my 2001 Volkswagen Golf. This is an inexpensive part that should be replaced if broken. If you are unable to remove the hold down, you'll have to break the plastic portion and use a 13mm socket to remove the bolt. It's a good idea to check your spare tire while you're at it and inflate it to the proper air pressure.

Yes, it could be the fan control module or a wiring issue.
