Thanks for encouraging swimming. My leg muscles really like the break and variety.

Great video. For us who are not swimming experts if you can show at least one round of each would be great. Thanks

In scuba diving we used to do lung busters half laps for 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-2 strokes. The down ladder was crucial for mixing an extra effort with a progressive recovery.

Reading Elizabeth's reply below I would have to correct to full laps. I also had the idea that a lap included the return trip. I stand corrected.

I always thought the you needed fairly rigid ankles for running and more flexible for swimming. Swimmers usually have a hard time adapting to running precisely because they have too much ankle flexibility and not enough stability.

Just a tiny correction, otherwise another great swim cross training video: A length is from one end of the pool to the other. A lap is down and back.
Oh, and it's "pull bouy". :)
    Thanks, TRE!

Thanks for watching the video - (Elizabeth here commenting) - a lap is NOT down and back. A lap is from one end to the other - wall to wall. It could be 25yds, 50meters... depending on the length of the pool. I'm sure there are coaches out there who mistakenly call it something else but I can guarantee you that a lap is one length of the pool.

It would help much more if you would SHOW the exercises in the pool in action!

Unsubscribing. 5 out of the last 5 videos I've watch are 90% talk and 10% demonstration. Even at 2.0 speed, I can't do it.
