I living on 1,000 usd month. I have more which I bank, sometimes I dip into funds, recently to buy new large upright freezer, had a tooth crown done was 10,000p.In my home country be 4x that price. I prefer to live in the mountains close to a National Park,we live very close to nature our water source is from mountains,so clean and fresh it’s magical to shower and wash in. Ten minutes to walk to ocean from our new apartment, landlord put new aircon in bedroom. I get use to having it off. House safe, very secure has security camera covering entrance. I pay 6k a month, that’s the main reason can live cheaply. Don’t skimp on healthy food, which is alot cheaper than large population areas. We also have arrangements where we get fresh fruit supplied straight from fruit orchards. I renting the house next door soon so people can come and stay from my homeland to experience the life here.
Been married to a filipina for 16 years... I'm ready to travel back such a beautiful place to visit.. i love cooking filipino food.. There are lots of recipes in the Philippines i like to learn to use on my channel..
My Filipino friends told me to avoid the Philippines with my medical history and choose Thailand instead. I can always take a short flight to visit from there. I live in Bangkok now and thankful for the advice
Wise choice - especially if something serious comes about (!) - you are in the right place. - - - Jomtien really appeals to me for a relaxed low cost lifestyle ! Not sure - if - it's close enough to quality hospitals ? --- But I really like the vibe the beach and all the food choices - in such a relaxed setting. 🤗❤👍🙏✌
Expats are worried all over the world now. Some are returning home. Trump is gonna cut social security and other benefits, including disability. There are more scary things coming.
Dont be misled and misinformed. The rural areas are quite cheap but not close to the comforts of modern life. Metro Manila or Cebu is now quite expensive. BGC or Makati is at times is as expensive as NYC or SF interms of cosr of living. Lots of foreigners come to Manila thingking that they can live like a king at $1k a month. Rent for a nice 3 beroom condo canstart at $3k a month. Even here in the US, that is quite steep.
Mr Kevin go and check it out but do your homework first and make sure your health care will cover you in the Philippines 🇵🇭 that's the part the bloggers don't tell you about medical coverage
Also notice he keeps moving closer to her and she keeps pulling away. She has to cross her legs so they don't touch🤔 not sure what he was thinking. She clearly felt uncomfortable. 😞
I done 3 months On the ground there almost 2 Years ago. In Dumaguete I would say 75,000+’if you are single. 20,000 rent on a 1 bedroom flat 2000 visa renewals 3000 for a pacific cross health insurance 5000 electric, WiFi and water. 1000 pesos a day for general living costs food, transport a few beers coffee whatever your thing is. 15,000 a month spare if things go wrong travelling travelling etc. 100,000 if you are a couple.
Just saying "1500" with no context on what you are actually spending your money on is not super helpful.....everyone has different life standards. You need to break that down. 500 of that could be stupid stuff most of us wouldn't spend money on or would spend more on. Itemize your costs and break it down for videos like this to be useful.
Phils is not cheap unless you live in province, goods and food about the same as Walmart. Might find more reasonable rents but I stay in Jomtien Thailand, food much cheaper, I have a killer very high end 116 sm condo directly across from beach with in obstructed sea view $1600 a month.
Jomtien has comfortable furnished more frugal studios for under $300 - not far from the beach (!) - also allowing many old expats a comfortable economical life there for that $1000/mo. number - if need be ! --?--
Good interview but it might have made more sense for the beautiful 5' Jessel sit on the ridge, and handsome 6' Chad sit in the valley. That way Jessel is not looking a Chad's chest and Chad is not looking down on the top of Jessel's head. LOL
*Foreigner tax. Not racial. It's the same everywhere in the world, people want to make more $$$, do better for themselves. If they can charge more they will, the reason they won't charge locals the same in the Phillipines is because they can't/won't pay it - local economy doesn't support the higher price.
Chad has been talkin to the dude in BGC who spends $5500/mo! And that dude said it can happen fo $2500/mo. So in the 'other' places in PH is much cheaper. So why does Chad all of a sudden advocating the 1% life style? Somebody got to him!! Chad, Chad, Chad! What happen to you?!!
Great video and good questions.✨
Thank you!!

Why is my boy Chad wearing a bullet proof vest? I thought her oldish boyfriend returned back to the USA.
I don't understand😅
No cash - no healthcare

Yes it was awkward Jessel keeps checking her top because he wants to be looking over her. Chad is just insecure person🤔
Good point!
Bro, if you want to get that stare from women, get in shape. Only by being foreign is not enought.
