Brother, I’m an electrician starting out in a side business installing chandeliers. Honestly man your videos have given me a lot of inspiration. Especially when it comes to marketing and how to interact with customers. I haven’t made a door hanger design but I do have a business card that tape on below the doorbell. Sometimes on mailboxes. I try to hit a whole neighborhood so that’s anywhere between 75 and 150 homes. I’ve been using thumbtack too. I want to get started on Nextdoor and Google but still need to look into how to. Overall, I like watching your videos man. You a real deal beast and it’s really cool to see how you’ve become that.
I watched your whole from squeegee to success video! The administrative and marketing sections were really insightful. Also how to interact with the customer when you start the job.
@@briangallardo3246 I really appreciate your words bro, thank you. It makes me happy to see that you found some value in the videos. I hope the best for you and your business 🤙
I dont even window clean, and i watch your videos here and there because your an inspiration, a prime example of getting out there and making it happen. Much respect.
Thank you for the positive feedback 🤙. I didn’t realize how many non window cleaners watch the channel. Makes me happy to see people enjoying the videos
these day in the life of are very helpful just sharing your thoughts and what nots helps a lot. I also have a service based business (not window cleaning) and even though i dont do window cleaning I feel like ive learned a lot binge watching your videos. Thanks again for sharing all these videos and I hope you business takes off even more brotha
I really like these day in the life videos. To me it's interesting to just hear what you're thinking about as a business owner, what's worked out, what you're struggling with. I'm just starting out and am incorporating your professional approach to the business as much as possible. As a homeowner, I've experienced the huge disparity between some of the people who have showed up at the house. The guys who put a little extra effort in like covering their shoes before walking through the house and those that don't seem to really care about what they're doing. I've hired more expensive businesses on several occasions because of how they carried themselves. To me, if they care enough to do the little things I expect and hope they'll care enough to do quality work and not take shortcuts.
Creating a video series on how to obtain all the necessary certifications for becoming a high-rise window cleaner is an excellent idea! Such a series could provide valuable, step-by-step guidance for aspiring window cleaners.
Nice to see you back man, you always bring a really good energy to this space. I like your unique angle and the "day to day" perspective of a dude just grinding through it and making it happen. And still teaching technique, sales and marketing tips along the way. I'm seeing comments from people in other service businesses aside from window cleaning finding inspiration from your videos (I myself have a gutter business but might eventually hook up with a very experienced window cleaner). I think you have a solid opportunity to grow the channel over the long term if you keep up the volume, continue to improve audio/visual quality and do more shorts, and maintain your unique approach. The landscaper and RUclipsr Keith Kalfas is also known for his energy and unique content and perspectives in that space and his channel is pretty huge now. The trades are hot and only getting hotter so it should be a good future ROI!
I’m always looking forward to your videos. All the knowledge you put out for us is very helpful brother. I’d like to know how you go about getting jobs & do they have to be a contract?
Most of the jobs I’ve acquired are all through word of mouth which is why I put so much emphasis on quality of work over quantity 🤙. Contracts usually aren’t necessary unless it’s a bigger commercial job.
One trick I’ve used pushing the mesh down with your thumb while installing the spline to allow some play in the mesh so it won’t tighten up and bend the frame
Thank them for their time and always recommend they get at least a couple other quotes if they’re not comfortable with the price, and that we hope to work for them in the future
Great video! Please do not stop RUclips. Stay motivated! I started watching your videos about 2 years ago. Your videos are the reason why I started my business. Your videos changed my life! If you are looking for new content maybe do a marketing video. Like show us your door hangers, business cards, advertisements, ETC. I think you should take the next step and switch to an S-corp. You are the best window cleaning channel!!!
These are the best jobs! I don’t do a lot of store front work as they’re often a hassle (mostly do residential and commercial). I was reminded today why I don’t want to focus on storefront - when one of the few storefronts I have taken on, charging absolute minimum - when it came time to pay they start questioning pricing when I provided the invoice - when we had already discussed and agreed prior 🤦♂️ The small jobs are ALWAYS the biggest hassle and headache and quibble over a few dollars 🤦♂️ - do you find this too Puff? Cheers
If they’re causing more problems than they’re solving I find it’s best to let them find another company. I’ve had a few storefronts that wanted to underpay me and I let them know in a very kind and professional way that they would be better off finding someone who better suits the needs of what they’re looking for. It’s usually pretty easy for me to walk away from route work that underpays. Cheap clients always want more done for less, and tend to complain about minuscule things.

Look in to yard signs, placing them at highway exits. Way bigger bang for your buck in my opinion - they absolutely kickstarted my gutter business.
Keep that grind going my guy 💪🏻

That would be awesome! Unfortunately we don’t currently do high rise, only mid rise

what do you use for workers comp when hiring an employee or how does that work for california window cleaning

Mesh replacement is very complicated. If you don’t do them right the screen squishes down and don’t cover the window. It’s been a problem for me .

@@CaliSunshine209 bro make a vid. Still having problems. Untouched market there’s little to nun videos on this
@@CaliSunshine209 I’m allowing the mesh to be very loose in order not to bend
@@RAWTREN you can start off like that and then loosen one side little by little to tighten with out bending frame that’s is another trick I use

@@Puffwindowcleaning Your welcome!
I think for those windows it’s better to have two poles 100%
I’m thinking about creating an LLC. Only to get commercial work
What do you think
It all comes down to preference and what your business model looks like. I’d recommend talking to a financial advisor
