Somewhere by monticello, I have floated and fished from St. Cloud to Clearwater which is a little upstream from where they are but I'm almost positive you can find good fishing anywhere along it as long as there is some current and not too much Look for any steeper drop offs or large boulders/trees to create eddies in the water

Nice smallies what a great place to fish. I like the rigged backpack, nice rod holders and that ring inside can hold your soft plastic bags or put your soft plastics inside pencil holder bags (like worm binder)

You guys should check out the Huron River in Michigan for some winter smallies. I've been down there twice in the last month during some crazy warm weather and ended up hooking up with a couple of decent fish. The faster parts of the river stay open all winter and there's an abundance of parks throughout.

Do never stop tour part two in Maryland and Virginia along Chesapeake bay, plus some sick fly fishing for trout near by, quite a few blue ribbon streams/rivers.
I love that backpack, back in the day I used my baseball backpack as my fishing bag and used the slots for bats on either side of the bag to hold my rods lol it worked just fine for ponds
Hey I know you mentioned going to Ohio to fish and if you're planning on fishing the Hocking hit up the section down by Whites Mill in Athens that's where I fished when I went to Hocking, nice little stretch of the river plus you can go to Larry's Dawg House afterwards 👍🏻
