Maine has to be one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen for the angler. So much fishing possibilities you could spend your whole angling life there and be glad to do it.
The same across the border in Canada Tons of places for great fishing And they look virtually untouched Some places are quite the brutal trek to walk into when the roads run out
Jon has a very relatable ability to situationally adapt based on the size of the water. I think he is excited for big fish based on water size. One pound fish get him pumped if he's on a creek or roadside spot. That shows a real relatability which I think people really enjoy.
Jon at spot #1: "Walk upstream so you don't spook the fish." Jon at spot #2: Walks downstream in the water spooking fish.😂 Great video dude, keep it up!
Quick tip for telling the difference between creek chub and fallfish: creek chub will always have a black spot at the base of the dorsal fin. They're different species, within the same genus. Large species of minnows.
If you enjoy the rocky wide rivers for Smallies that have a lot of shore access and boat access then I definitely recommend the Androscoggin River and if you want to find the brown trout and rookies then definitely get some time in at the Presumpscot and some spots on it hold rainbows.
I’ve been watching you since i was 8 years old, and you were fishing the midwest. I’m scared Jon, I fear the idea of a day where Jon b my literal idol, stops:(Please Jon b don’t forget your motto “Keep Fishing, NEVER STOP” My favorite part of my long days is when I get to finally sit back throw on youtube and watch you do what you do best. You are living my dream life Jon b, and nothing makes me happier than seeing you succeed. please Jon b don’t take my favorite part of the day from me. Im sure it’s hard with all the editing and everything but i promise Jon b we recognize your hard work. the way you setup your videos are perfect. couldn’t ask for anything better. I try to tell as many people i can about you. I feel as if I know you even though I don’t. Just wanted to speak my mind for a bit i’ve been thinking about this for some time. Also I think the same about Peric and Flair you guys are awesome please please please I beg Keep Fishing Never Stop
Hey Jon if your reading this I wanted to let you that quarantine has been hard for me and you have mad this a lot better of a time for me just by uploading
You guys should do a camping trip for a few days in the mountains and fish random streams and rivers in the woods. Make it a little mini series. That’d be AWESOME
Native Mainer here, finding trout in a river that has smallies is near impossible, most brookies love to hang out in small branches that feed into the bigger river, and i'm talking small shallow creeks with tons of rapids. however, switching to a rapala single action is a weapon against maine smallies, im not aure why but they always crush them, especially any double actions. love your content, keep up the amazing work!
will you make a video on some Im depth beginner tips? What kind of baits and reels and equipment one will need to start catching some fish? What colors to use in certain bodies of water, I would really appreciate it. (:
Love creek fishing, so bummed I can't go this year, but next year, it's on! Probably run into ya'll. But I'm going Tarpon fishing here at home in Florida, so... later...
love the roadside videos and urban fishing videos...any chance you're coming to the south anytime soon? would love to see you on some water here in Bama
I will be in Maine near Bar harbor ME in July 25 - August 1st. We have a small boat with a trolling motor but if we could explore more lakes in Maine with you that would be a dream come true!
I rock a Chartreuse floating rapala/rainbow trout floating rapala when I hit the river. They seem to work beautifully in the south. Nightcrawlers do justice as well. Sick vid, keep em coming! Riplip
Hey Jon, You should get a kayak or canoe and head up the Pushaw Stream from the bridge on the W Old Town Rd. We always hit pike up in there. If you follow it all the way down it takes you to the dam over on the lake
Fishing from a nice boat on a big lake is cool, but this, this is the fishing I love the most. Wading up a cool creek/river. Birds chirping. Nice sunny day. God almighty I need to get up to the northeast and do some river/creek fishing.
Head up to northern Maine and lets get some bigger smallies! Check out where the Big Black meets the St. John if you want some out of the way fishing for big Musky.
hey man I live in southern Maine and its so cool to see you up here exploring the fishing scene, love the Maine content, keep it up. That is for sure a fall fish though and in any rivers / creeks they are crazy. They'll try to get a piece of anything you throw and the way they hit is definitely deceiving.
You gotta get the fish in the pond dawg i can’t sleep without knowing
For real though
Yeah fax
I dying 💀😭😢 to man can't wait to know
Same
No cap
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY TO CATCH THE MYSTERY POND FISH!!! Like if you want him to!
That would be awesome to see 😁😀
yo that would be lit
It would be easier if he would use a cast net or set up some traps since the fish are so small. And since he's not good at micro fishing LOL
Its a tiny brook trout
@@yankees_bass861 interesting I think I agree

Its awesome to live in such a beautiful state! So much to explore:)
For sure. I’m still a teenager and have only been fishing for a few years, it’s crazy how much water there is to explore and test out.
The same across the border in Canada
Tons of places for great fishing
And they look virtually untouched
Some places are quite the brutal trek to walk into when the roads run out
Same with Michigan it a lot like Maine.
Being from bangor, watching him fish my local area is insane! You have a new fan jon B
I’ve described fallfish to somebody that never saw one as “sort of like a yellow perch in a carp suit”.
Connecticut Angler had my first experience with one last summer, can confirm that is a perfect way to describe it. Weird fish
😂😂😂😂
Do they taste ok?
They called shiners
In Europe it’s just called a chub
Nice outdoors video. Great scenery. I really like these type of videos. Thank you Jon.
Loving the diverse content on this current Maine send, keep up the great work. Try a Hellgramite on the next creek send, you won't be disappointed.
cant express how much i appreciate these solo vids !!
"just because I don't want to litter"..... Sure Jon b lol saving the claw for later
that was funny

Ya beat me to this comment.... lol
That place was simply sick. Yes; I want to see more. Creek hand fishing by Alex Blackwell, noice. Loving the content.
“Bangor Maine, Bangor video” Great video keep up the good work!
Underrated comment

Good equipment for fishing, Congratulations this place is amazing has beautiful fish.
Hug and good fishing always.👍🎣😊

Jon my favorite videos of yours are the road side fishing and the creek fishing
Imagine going to the store and buying your own baits lol.
Paying yourself
thank you for all your inspiration u have spread in the bassin community ❤️
Quick tip for telling the difference between creek chub and fallfish: creek chub will always have a black spot at the base of the dorsal fin.
They're different species, within the same genus. Large species of minnows.
Definitely fall fish! Nothing is a bigger buzz kill when fishing creeks in the NorthEast then thinking you’ve got a decent trout and it’s a fall fish
“I concealed carry neds” -Jon B 😂😂
Now these are my favorite kinds of video you release. Working a small little creek/river. Keep em coming.
You should do another amazon fishing adventure
yeah. Hes gotta at some point catch an arapaima. He tried twice and failed
Harley Smith agreed, I’d also love to see him catch a giant stingray 😂
I like freshwater fishing better tbh
Dr.Max9 Yt I’m fine with either or, as long as Jon quits trying to promote googan baits and only catching one small smallmouth 😂
100%
Great video Jon. Please do more. Beautiful scenery, got to see new species, fall chub or whatever it was. Bummer we couldn't see the eels.😸
Who else would love to see some more MTB slams
Me!!
Yessir!!!

Great video! Keep exploring Maine! I bet you could almost do one creek mission a week.
Jon: "What the F*#k was that?!?"
Also Jon: "I failed my eel course in college. I'm sorry, I almost said a bad word."

13:00 "Get your head out of the gutter, Jon B"
Bro I love this type of videos. Keep up the good work
By guy Jon B, you should try creek fishing with a 5'5" or even 4'7" rod. It is an absolute blast!
Yesss sirrr
4 6 st croix is my favorite
Small rods are a ton of fun. Everything feels huge and it’s way different from fishing big rods.
I use I falcon 5'0 bucoo. It's amazing
some of the most fun you can have
I'm sorry Jon but you weren't fishing off of Interstate 65, maybe Interstate 95 if you are in Maine hahaha
Love your vids.. feels good to be in the 50 people first club
13:39 I think jon turned into muscle man from regular show for a second
I love these creek missions, super relateable
if you’re still in the northeast when the salmon run, please fish for them
You can fish for the landlocked ones pretty easy year round but two falls on sebec just about always has them at the mouth of the river
@@misfit9668 That's a great place to catch landlocked, my favorite to be honest
@@amyhensley4989 yes indeed. Between that the brook trout and some of the massive perch and catfish it's a good place to fish
Love you Jon B!❤️💪🏽keep it up bro!

Ya fish some big lakes or ponds.. water super low in the rivers/brooks
Been trying to tell him that. So many different bodies of water to fish in southern Maine
I've lived in Bangor Maine my whole life if u need spots I gotchu
Jon B u should do a Maine summer series for creeks and rivers in Maine just running up and down the streams!!!!!
JON B., good video as always! I hope my channel has a fraction of the success that yours has. Keep doin what you do!
DOPE VID my guy always love clicking off of something else’s to watch a Jon b update!!

Jon b you have inspired me to go out and fish almost everyday and have the best time ever. Thanks you so much!
This was fun. I used to fish the Feather River in Chester California. I really miss it. Would love to see more. Thank you for sharing 🌞🌞
fall fish are the bestttt for ice fishing. we always stock up over the fall time and use them for anything when ice fishing
I rock a Chartreuse floating rapala/rainbow trout floating rapala when I hit the river. They seem to work beautifully in the south. Nightcrawlers do justice as well. Sick vid, keep em coming! Riplip
love the creek fishing!
The Fall fish is in germany alles Döbel and are very fun to catch👌 and also very awsome video💣🤙
idk why but I’m more hyped for his pond than anything else
Definitely do more roadside. Maybe turn it into a camping trip or a catch and cook. It looked so peaceful
Hey Jon, You should get a kayak or canoe and head up the Pushaw Stream from the bridge on the W Old Town Rd. We always hit pike up in there. If you follow it all the way down it takes you to the dam over on the lake
Look up "35 Hudson Rd" on google maps. The bridge is right there.
I'd be curious to see you fling a fly a little in some of these as well!
cant wait for some kayaking or canoeing too. He can buy one and store it in the barn when he builds it
You should go to Columbia with Carl & Alex to catch those monster peacock bass.
When you here what’s cranking weiners you know its a banger
Jon b you’re the best...thanks for making me the happiest person whenever you post a video...also u should go to Costa Rica for a fishing adventure
