    This is one of my favorite all time Eurovision songs. A lot of times my favorites don't rank very high, and I tend to like songs with folkish, pagan vibes. Please can you make and in depth video about Fulenn and Keiino

      Tina Olsen it’s an American football team from Minnesota :)

    • @bevanderson6245
      @bevanderson6245 6 лет назад +2

      Overthinking It: Ummm..., no, it doesn't if you live in Minnesota and have ancestors from Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (plus four other countries). It only means the stupid state legislators of both political parties in Minnesota socialized the expense of paying for three new stadiums while denying funds for education and state Medicaid while allowing the billionaire team owners to profit handsomely AND get tax breaks besides. People in the Scandinavian countries would never be that stupid. As social democracies go, they're head and shoulders above everyone when it comes to paid leave for +/- one year for BOTH parents to be split however works best for them after a child is born, plus reduced cost or free childcare when the parent(s) go back to work..., not to mention single-payer health care for everyone, cradle-to-grave (the Medicare for All-type of health insurance and health care as promoted by Bernie Sanders in the US), and tuition-free education for everyone (whether college or trade school). Scandinavians take care of their people. Yes..., I loathe sports that make billionaires and millionaires out of team owners and players alike, especially when taxpayers have to foot the bills for their sandboxes and give them tax breaks and profits on top of that. They're rich enough to pay for their own. The US, meanwhile, is the only nation that has no health care for it's people. We're fleeced by insurance, medical, and pharmaceutical corporations.

    • @bevanderson6245
      @bevanderson6245 6 лет назад +3

      Tina Olsen: He's talking about an American football sports team in Minnesota better known in the state for players who get arrested for beating up spouses, girlfriends, or other men, committing adultery, drunk driving, drug usage, importing prostitutes from another state for a boat party on a big lake, or otherwise being rowdy assholes. A few years go the legislators in the state voted to waste taxpayer money to pay for a brand new stadium for these overgrown boys who think they are so special they can get by with anything - on top of previously building a stadium for a baseball team and the jocks on the University of Minnesota campus in the Cities. Be grateful Denmark invests in culture, health, education, or other things that benefit all the people of Denmark, not glorify the very few who only play sports.

    You forget one thing - the viking-spirit is still there. Denmark became the country to lose most soldiers in Afghanistan in the war after 9-11, compared to the number of inhabitants - a lot more dead soldiers than US.

      I feel like his point still stands though. When it comes to self image the quote "You never see a dane with a knife in his hand.. unless he has a fork in the other." still holds true to a large degree. There is also the fact that despite danish involvement in different wars, the military is still called The Defense. A holdover from after the second world war, when the idea was, that there would never again be a need or reason to go to war unless it was to defend the country from being invaded again.

      Ja, men vi har steder der hedder noget med "bjerg" eller "...bjerget". Vi har også en hjemmeside for vandre enthusiaster: bestigbjerge.dk Tror jeg nok, jeg har ikke brugt den i lang tid. The rough translation for bestig bjerge is to climb mountains.
      Yes, but we have places named something with "mountain" or "...the mountain". We also have a homepage for hiking enthusiasts: bestigbjerge.dk I think...I haven't used it in a long time.
      I don't even watch Eurovision/Melodi Grandprixet. I only learnt today, that we had a good song, lol!

    Cough* the hats didn’t actually have horns, it just has that symbolically.
    Other nations wanted to show the evil and brutality of Vikings and Vikings decided to own it as their own symbol which is why it is commonly added but it’s not historically accurate. I’m a Norwegian which both explain my knowledge of the sorts, and lack of proper English grammar. Still better than Petter Solberg.

      A long time ago I would agree with you, until when I found out some people include Germanic pagans from central Europe in their definition of Norse. Thus, calling them Vikings became a necessary evil to make no room for doubt that you were talking about actual Norsemen from Scandinavia.

    • @Randi-k6m
      @Randi-k6m 6 лет назад

      You are wrong. The term "Viking" as a noun WAS used by the Vikings. If you are interested, I can find the ID number of the rune stones. Also, according to Adam of Bremen, the Scandinavians referred to themselves as Vikings. I've also found out why - that will be in my book...... I'm a Dane, and have studied history for almost 25 years.

      Hi Frederik! So we do things a little differently. We don't focus on whether a song is "good" or not - you can decide that for yourself. Instead, we talk about what makes a song INTERESTING. Sometimes that means we focus on the singer, sometimes on the lyrics, sometimes the music. And we believe that EVERY song is interesting in some way or another (we're seriously considering reviewing San Marino).

    • @frederiksylvester3751
      @frederiksylvester3751 6 лет назад +2

      Well, since you have the word review right there in the video title, I was perhaps expecting you to actually talk about the musical aspects of the song, instead of some tired jokes about him looking like Tormund Giantsbane, and some oft-repeated facts about ''hygge''. But I guess that's not INTERESTING (random all caps ho!). Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
